Reviewed By Plato PRooms were clean, food was good, and the staff was great. The young lady at the front desk with the beautiful eyes was very nice and helpful in answering questions about the area. They have a laundry facility for guest, and a computer room for guest to use, very nice. My only complaint was that the AC in the room cut on and off at night, this made it hard to sleep. there was no way to have the fan run all the time.

Reviewed By 916AlbertThe hotel was very clean and well taken care of. The staff was great. The rooms had everything you needed. The buffet breakfast is well worth it. The bar at night was also good. The area has everything you need, plenty of stores and restaurants. Only about 12 minutes from the Marine bases. We stayed here for two days and will probably be back in August. I highly recommend staying here if you need a place to stay.

Reviewed By clairescimoneCame to visit military family, was a good location. Welcoming and clean. Would definitely visit again. Kitchenette was a nice amenity to the room. The complimentary breakfast was good. The ability to make homemade waffles was a huge hit with my child.

Reviewed By Frances77Took trip from NJ to Savannah away from I95. Passed through Jacksonville and was satisfied with Best Rest Inn. No issues. It's on main drag. My room was in wing farthest from road, clean, quiet and warm. Bed comfortable. Basic amenities. If fussy, you may want to pack your own soap, shampoo and lotion. Friendly lady at the desk confirmed my supper restaurant choice as good spot so I headed off. Saw the breakfast situation/setup area when checking in so no big expectations. Grabbed a coffee in morning and hit the road.

Reviewed By englandviewsIm notmally not in the area. I had to visit for work. I arrived at this hotel. Upon check in I asked for the high floor. The rep stated nothing was available and the time was 300pm. I really arrived to the city earlier and decided to waste time to give the hotel time to clean the rooms. She stated it was only two people working housekeeping and to give them 45m. Then I hear the alarm going off and people talking about a leak. I went on the seconf flor and the pipes had burst. However, I decided to wait 45 additional minutes for the room. I arrived back 60m later. The fire truck was there the leak had spread and the employees, maintenance, and management didn't know how to turn off the water. So now there were in the process of turning the water off in the entire building. Ive been waiting over an hour for a room. I decided to go somewhere else at this point. I was traveling and was ready to shower and relax. I feel like these people wasted my time. These franchise Marriott's are the worst they NEVER keep up the properties. I complain about this often because its true. This place is very unorganized and Marriott need to let this property go or take the property back. These kinds of things are happening to often. With an so call upscale chain. I will never return.

Absolutely HORRIBLE!
Reviewed By dee-from-ChicagoI booked this hotel through Priceline and paid in full with PayPal (I did the surprise online exclusive option on Priceline, not knowing ahead of time exactly which hotel I would be booking) and the Rodeway Inn was what I ended up with. This hotel is in shambles, it is decrepit and filthy! Upon checking in, they required a $150 deposit, and I did not bring cash with me, so they would not let me check in, despite my room already being paid in full. I was from out of state, so I had to call my daughter and have her put the $150 deposit on her credit card. The clerk said the deposit information was in my confirmation email from Priceline, and N O it was not! The swimming pool was closed, they stated it was because of COVID, yet every hotel surrounding Rodeway Inn had their pools open and fully operational. The main clerk "QUEEN" was rude and totally unprofessional, unpleasant, and said inappropriate things to guests. She was outside in the front of the hotel smoking cigarettes her entire shift and was blatantly dismayed when she had to get up from her rocking chair to assist guests with check•in or check•out. Since I had already paid for the hotel reservation in full via PayPal, I would have walked right out of there, but I had no extra money with me, so I was stuck in an awful situation. The room was tidy, but the TV didn't work, there was someone's leftover food in the refrigerator, the bathroom towels had black stains on them, and the bathroom ceiling was literally crumbling and falling apart, even though I could see obvious patch marks in the plaster. Everything in the bathroom that had metal on it had rust spots all over it, and the bottom inch of the mirror was corroded on the back. The floors in the main room had some sort of laminate flooring, and it was so dirty that my clean bare feet were filthy after walking around on it, so I had to wear shoes in the room and wash my feet before I went to bed. Their website also said free breakfast was included, but again, they claimed they can't serve breakfast due to COVID, but would provide coffee and juice. They provided NOTHING. I have many other complaints with photos to prove my claims, but I'll just leave it at this.

The staff were amazing and friendly. Marvin and Miss Nell were some of the hardest working people I've seen. The amenities were outstanding! You have to stay here if you're visiting Jascksonville!

Reviewed By seang8512I stayed at the Red Roof Inn & Suites in Jacksonville, NC at 1723 Lejeune Blvd. Their location is great, minutes away from any venue regardless of what activity you want to partake in. Very cost efficient. What really did it for me, though, is the staff. From the receptionists to the housekeepers, they're all extremely friendly and willing to help. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Reviewed By englandviewsI had to visit this property because the water was off at the property I originally booked at. It was ok, they were making some upgrades to the property. I checked in the property it was basic with cheap up grades. They kept pretty much everything in there except the carpet. Small Tv, same old furniture, no streaming services, and old toliets. However, it was ok for the night. The next day when I was ready to shower. The water was off the lady working stated it would be back on later. I had something to do and couldn't shower. This was a big inconvenience to me. These franchise Marriott property's in JACKSONVILLE NC are the worst. I will never visit this city again I definitely had bad experiences and NEVER want to come back.
