With plenty of room for sunbathing by the swimming pool, hammocks in every corner and natural palm trees, Bananas is by far the perfect spot for those looking for fun, relaxation and the most enjoyable Dunebuggy/Sandboarding activities and the friendliest outdoor atmosphere, along with our wide variety of burgers and veggie meals. ►Accommodation packages to suit every pocket and budget ►Wide areas for socialization and relaxation, surrounded by natural environment (chairs, hammocks, sofas, bean bags, etc) ►Bar, Swimming Pool & Restaurant (w/ veggie options) ►Dune buggy rides and Sandboarding, drivers with over 15 years’ experience. ►All tours & activities bookable in one place and much more
Excellent service, great accomidations and the best bathrooms ive experienced so far, the dune buggies that you can order a place at through the reception are highly recommended. The food is good, the burgers are the highlight of the place.

Welcome to the huacachinero hotel, we are a company dedicated to tourism providing lodging and food. In our establishment you will find quality of service, tranquility, relaxation and good attention. We inform our visitors to be careful with the taxis that they take in the bus station, many of them are informal and they tend to offer tourist services without having travel agency so it does not have any guarantee of the sold being in the end scams. Take as a suggestion our recommendation so that your stay in our country is of your total pleasure without spending any unpleasant moments. We look forward to your soon visit.
Ignore the bad reviews on here, I almost didn’t stay here because of them and am so glad I ignored them! Lovely little hotel, the pool area is gorgeous with a view of the sand dunes behind. The room is perfectly clean and comfortable. Breakfast is basic however it is the same as I experienced at every hotel in Peru. Eggs and then a small cold buffet, and what is provided is perfectly nice. You can walk straight out of the hotel onto the oasis and it’s bars/restaurants. There is some noise however this is to be expected for the type of town you’re staying in, just take some earplugs. It is certainly far nicer than a hostel and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

The jewel of the city of Ica is the Huacachina Lake, the only natural oasis of America, which in earlier times was attended by the elite of the Peruvian aristocracy. Our hotel is located in front of this wonder of our nature, which is considered a valuable monument.
Mossona I chose the hotel as it was listed as a jewel of the area. Twin room booked for one night for my daughter and I. In summary, lovely courtyard but that’s sadly where it ended for our experience. Issues included: no curtain in the outside window, no Wi-Fi in room, dirty towel, walls in poor condition, cracked bath and bathroom units, broken towel rail, screws poking out the wall, plastic mattress protectors, loose light bulbs (needed to be mended) and no power outlets near the bed, just one in the room next to the refrigerator. We paid £65 for the night including a disappointing breakfast. Basic hostel quality accommodation with a hotel price! Others hotels such as Carola Lodge were the same price but looked so much better. I’m awaiting a refund - this was poor value. Previous night in Casa Paracas was so much better for the same price.

A magical place in the desert! At Sand and Lake we strive to give you the best attention and comfort to make your stay pleasant, we have rooms for couples, families and groups of friends. We have a restaurant and bar, located next to our pool to relax and spend a great day full of sun and accompanied by a great view of the Huacachina lagoon and the dunes that surround them.
What can I say about this overpriced s***hole! $150 a night (?) for no toilet paper, no water (no, not just hot water... water!) unclean room with no windows, very noisy (from 9pm to 8am), no air con, no TV, sand in my bed! Unfriendly horrid staff and a disgusting inedible restaurant to boot. Stay far far far far away! You have been warned!

I have never felt so obligated to write a bad review before. I was travelling with a friend using Peru Hop and this place was recommended to us because it is where their pick up point was. We didn't bother reading reviews before selecting it because we were tired and feeling lazy. BIG MISTAKE. - Bathroom hadn't been cleaned. - No hot water. Freezing cold showers. - No wifi in our rooms (only at reception). - Cockroaches in our room. - Only one plug point between two people. - Not enough adequate blankets to keep warm at night. So froze. After all that the worst part of our stay was the terrible service. Very rude stuff. DO NOT DO THE DUNE BUGGY TOUR (which the hostel runs) if you are renting out a proper snowboard to go sandboarding. The rental shop and the buggy company told us to clip the boards to the back of the buggy. We followed their instructions perfectly. The board still fell off the buggy whilst we were driving back and we only realised after getting off the buggy. The rentals and the buggy company expected us to pay for the board. CASA DE ARENA was extremely unhelpul. Refused to even help us arrange a 10 min drive back to look for the board. One of the worst places i have ever stayed at.

The tent is large, and basic. You'll find a bug or two. It can get warm, but they do a good job of keeping it cool. Pool and pool area is amazing, lazing around with a view of the sand dunes all around. We decided to spend a large part of our time just hanging by the pool, drinking beers and smoothies. Very good security with the complex being walled off and closed at night, Each tent has a lock. Bathrooms are separate but so incredibly clean and well maintained, there also so many of them (6-7) that you'll never have to wait to use one. So many places in Huacachina are party hostels, everywhere I went, loud music and drunken revelry. This place is nice and quite, and away from the loud party hotels. Food is ok and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place for the family or non-party traveler. It's basic but some people expect way too much from a tent.

We took a 2-day tour with Peru Hop and we overnighted at Huacachina. It was a better alternative to the hotel recommended by the tour company because it was quiet. However, we were given a room with no aircon, only a ceiling fan that did not deter the mosquitos from feasting on me ?. The hotel has a pool and a restaurant, altho there were other restaurants around the oasis. The room was basic and the bathroom was dated.

Relax at this hostel and cafe, a great variety of breakfasts, including crepes, french toast and marmite. Authentic Thai curry, falafel and hummus and the original and best chocolate brownies.
*we didn't stay here* But we did eat here for breakfast and our evening meal every day we were in Huacachina! Great coffee, varied food menu and every meal that we had was lovely! Lots of veggie and vegan options and we weren't charged extra for soya milk ?... Definitely come here while you're in Huacachina!!

The Accommodation is located in the heart of the Oasis of Huacachina 5km from the Plaza de Armas .we have a selection of spacious rooms with warm lighting and a family atmosphere . We offer various services such as pool , breakfast included , parking , laundry . restaurant . room service, snack bar, buffet and more.
Clean enough; comfortable enough. A little noisy (I see that’s a theme in this busy party town!). The owner/staff did not seem overly inviting or friendly. This may be related to language or cultural differences. Breakfast on the rooftop patio was very nice; prepared and served by the woman I presume is the owner (Claudia?). The hostel exits directly onto the beautiful property next door: an attractive 3-story hostel with its elegant pool.

We stayed a night at Carola Lodge. The sink in the bathroom was filthy. The floor was full of hair. It was noisy and the WATER drip-dripped from the shower. Everything was just not right in that place.
