I have stayed at this hotel numerous times over the last couple few years, and I will look to book again when I need another hotel stay in Brighton / Hove in the future. The hotel has a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere, comfy rooms for the price, and I have always enjoyed the cooked breakfast in the morning.

Housed in a Victorian villa, this polished hotel is an 11-minute walk from The Old Market, a 15-minute walk from the beach and 2 miles from the gardens of the Royal Pavilion. The 11 airy, refined rooms offer flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, and tea and coffeemaking equipment. Some have 4-poster beds and/or free-standing baths. Breakfast and parking are available. There's an intimate walled garden with outdoor seating, and an elegant lounge that serves traditional afternoon tea, along with regular art exhibits.
Lovely Hotel, really comfortable bed and quality linen, the staff were very friendly and helpful, also its very quiet at night. Local to the hotel is some fabulous restaurants, a Starbucks and numerous bars and coffee shops, the beach is a 5 minute walk, the town centre of Brighton is a good walk of approx 20/25 minutes. Parking is cheap right next to the Hotel £7 a day We would really recommend this establishment and will definitely go back

We stayed at the Ginger Pig the night before and the night of my daughters wedding. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The staff did absolutely everything they could going out of their way to help and make us have the best experience. Housekeeping had quite a job cleaning and tidying our rooms between nights after getting ready in the morning for the wedding. No one has tidied my room like that since my mum did it! It was lovely to come back to after the wedding. The night before we had a meal in the private dining room for 22. The food was lovely and again the Sevice second to none. Thank you Ginger Pig staff you were amazing and you made the experience for my daughter very relaxing.

Very disappointing! Not much of a welcome on arrival. Rooms are dated and in much need of updating. Our bathroom was not clean. Hairs all over the bath, in plug hole and floor. The bedroom and bathroom were very dusty and none of it had been properly cleaned. Even the stairs in the hallway have clearly not been cleaned recently as photos clearly show. Even when we asked for it to be cleaned it appeared like it was too much trouble ! Not worth the money we paid! Would not recommend sadly

Had been really looking forward to visiting for the first time with a pal but ... Playing music with the n word being repeated in a pub with only a couple black guests is not very welcoming. Very disappointing.

A small traditional pub in a side street of Hove just off of the main thoroughfare that links Brighton and Hove, the pub has no food, no Sky TV, no loud music and no gaming machines, just a pub, BLISS! Originally called the Station Inn the earliest record as a pub was 1867 and was originally the Brunswick Police and Fire Station hence the name. There is a stark difference between the old pub and the modern guest rooms. I took the pub over in 2010 and converted the living accommodation to 3 en-suite rooms. I am helped by a great team, our manager Warren, Gervase, Maggie, Kevin and Simon in the bar and Wendy with the rooms. They all make our guests welcome as do our pub customers and Beau (our dog). Unfortunately, due to the age and nature of the property, access for some people may be difficult. If you have any special needs please give us a call to find out if we are able to accommodate you.
From the minute you walk through the door you are greeted and made to feel welcome not only by Sue but by the regulars too. We stayed for two nights as part of our daughter’s 21st birthday celebrations so had two double rooms. The rooms are spotless and the beds were really comfortable. Also it was lovely and quiet at night (have stayed in Brighton before and expected it to be much more noisy as it’s such a busy, lively town). The separate entrance is great for if you return after closing or if you just want to nip in and out, however both nights we went and had a drink in the bar before going up. The complementary breakfast was enough to start the day off, four choices of cereal and a fresh croissant with butter and jam - and real milk (thanks to the little fridges in the rooms). A great little find we really loved our stay and will definitely be back even if Beau the dog didn’t want to talk to us.

They don't respond to emails or answer their phones. Covid related presumably but their email doesn't bounce and their phone number accepts calls and takes messages so it would be helpful if they said: We are fully booked...or...we're closed for the moment/forever.... After an email three days ago and a call today leaving a message I gave up

We have the capacity for 44 guests in 19 tastefully decorated rooms, all en-suite and arranged as single, double, twin, triple or family rooms. They are all equipped with TVs and hospitality trays.
Love this family hotel. Decor is quite quirky but very clean. Stayed here many many times. The breakfast is only £5 extra booking in advance, it is one of the best hotel breakfasts ever. Cannot recommend enough, as long as you are prepared for quirky old fashioned decor. Harri

After arriving quite late we were met with a very friendly receptionist who instantly made us feel welcomed. Considering we are not from the area they helped make the experience extremely easy for us. I travelled up with a group of friends and we had fresh towels and bed sheets upon arrival. Which was necessary for a night out. They ordered us a taxi at our desired time and the whole experience was very good. The room was extremely clean and had everything we could of asked for. Would 100% recommend going again and will be
