Unpleasant Family Visit because of the Wending Machine

The kids wanted to buy something from the wending machine, but we couldn’t cause it was broken and because of the prevailing pandemic we couldn’t visit any store near by to purchase the things that was already available in the wending machine but didn’t have access to. When I asked for help, they responded very rudely. The trip turned out to be inconvenient because of the Situation.

Reviewed By 47lawrencerSimple basic hotel that offers plain, simple and honest services. Rooms a bit small, bedding ok, clean shower. Food and drink good at very reasonable prices and new choices daily. I’d recommend this hotel any day for a short stay. Just be sure to get a room at the back.

Nice hotel, terrible WiFi
Reviewed By thepiratebenI have stayed here half a dozen times on frequent trips to Hof. The hotel is clean and the staff are nice. All round, perfectly pleasant. But, if you need WiFi, consider staying somewhere else. It veers from unusable to off. You figure out pretty quickly that half the guests have their doors slightly ajar just to try to get _some_ internet

Lovely location for coffee and cake
Reviewed By tagareteThis is a favourite place of mine for a walk at the lake followed by coffee and cake at the Seehaus. Good choice of delicious cakes, typical large portions - we are in Oberfranken! - and good coffees and teas. In wintertime lovely to warm up inside after a bracing walk, and enjoy the view. Summertime on the terrace is beautiful. Service is good indoors, can be slow outdoors in summer when busy, always friendly.

Very friendly, quirky little hotel
Reviewed By Sarah MWe had an impromptu stay at this family run, 18 room hotel in the center of Hof. Staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is reasonably priced with everything necessary for an overnight stay. Breakfast was nice too!

Reviewed By marina sThe hotel staff is very polite and helpful. Rooms are big, clean and fully equiped. The breakfast is rich and varied. The hotel is in a very good position, close to the city center, the railway station. It can also be easily accessed with the car.

Noisy and disappointing.
Reviewed By Bjarne SWe are a family of four who stayed in a family room for one night in this hotel on our way from Denmark to Austria. The hotel itself is clean and well kept. So was the room we were given. We had selected this hotel at booking.com because it was not in a noisy city but in the countryside - hoping for a quiet nights sleep. However, this hotel is situated between two roads - one of which was bordered by the wall of the hotel. This was a hot night so we had to keep the window open - and were awakened countless times by cars and farming machines driving by less than three metres from our beds! There is no A/C - but with this location there should be. Add to that that our two kids had to share a bed which was composed by cushions from a couch - with numerous cracks and posts to be avoided. Having slept poorly we did not get down to breakfast until half past eight. The buffet was a joke - we had to ask for milk and were presented with luke warm UHT milk! The scrambled eggs were bright green from being heated for too long and the bacon was luke warm but raw. The staff - one woman - was busy chatting in the reception. None of our numerous devices were able to connect to the wifi in the room. We are not coming back.

Cozy and feels like home
Reviewed By _taltaltal_tal_tal_1Very pleasant owner, very clean rooms, the hotel felt like our home for 2 days. The breakfast was very good and the room felt very cozy. The hotel is close to the road so it is very convenient if your are on your way in need a place to sleep.
