Reviewed By 15magdalenavThere was a big party going just outside of the hotel till 2am. We weren’t able to sleep. Endlessly ridiculous! How is it possible to hold a loud party and expect hotel guests to be able to sleep? Such a nonsense!! Very disappointing. You should be able to get an adequate rest, especially if you pay 150€/night and for what? - Awful heavy bass and techno music inside of your room!!

Reviewed By Tiberiu_BaranyiIn Heerlen you got several options for a hotel , if you are in need - whenever I can I will go for the Kasteel TerWorm ... been here before , and I think I will be there again ... So arriving before noon is typically not the best at any hotel, no difference here on the topic - the lady at the reception was kind and get me the key and all the forms - but she asked me kindly to wait till my room will be ready - I went for a walk in the garden and surroundings , you have some picks attached to the review. Room was at the ground level in the courtyard building, room 14 - I got - and it was very clean , spacious and with a good size bathroom that had a tub and a shower - depending on what you want. Bed was comfortable - the minibar for free .... breakfast - a nice selection of buffet, eggs, meat , etc ... so everything for everybody. To distance a bit customers you could choose breakfast till 9 or after 9 ... so to split a bit the guests. Outside my room - I had room 14 - there were 2 chairs at a table and a decorative bush in that bush a duck was nesting between the branches - such a nice thing. Overall I had a very good stay - with helpful staff and a very good hotel experience and for sure if I go to Heerlen again , I would choose the same hotel for my stay. I recommend you try it and if you don't like it just blame it on me .....

Gem of a place to stay. An oasis close to town centre
Reviewed By Loobeloo999This is a Nivon & translates as Nature Friends House. There are about 15 of these houses all over Holland. Run on similar lines as a YHA in the UK. An oasis not far from the town centre. Lovely old building run by an truly lovely bunch of people especially the volunteer that was on duty most of the time we were there: Yeopa (spelt Joke) the lady with a permanent heart felt smile. This is a gem of a place to stay. Very friendly atmosphere. Delightful gardens very well planned with pleasant walk ways & many seating areas where groups can eat & drink outside under pagodas, on the lawns or terraces A dog belonging to the house was a real bonus. I stayed with there with 14 Dutch friends. The kitchen is available to cook your own meals if you chose to. With plenty of space in a fridges to keep your foodstuffs. Breakfast was provided. We had the smaller of the two dining rooms to ourselves. The beds were comfortable. A great place & at a very reasonable price. The sort of place where you meet friendly people. Staff & guests alike.

Reviewed By goiol2017Friendly staff, good location, clean. The hotel is very close to the train station and there are cultural centers, shops of all kinds, restaurants and amenities near by. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are bicycles to rent at the hotel for €15

Reviewed By ScottB39Happy with this place. The rooms are basic and medium-sized but very very clean. There are flashier hotels on the highway but they are isolated: one has to drive to enjoy anything at those hotels, other than the hotel restaurant. Stadshotel Botterweck is right on the main square near the cathedral, with perhaps two dozen restaurants within three blocks, as well as local shopping. So if you like to go out, this is THE place to stay in Heerlen. It is above a 2-floor tapas restaurant that is perhaps one of the loveliest spaces I’ve been in. Staff at the hotel are perfect. They are attentive and professional. Breakfast buffet is small but delicious and comprehensive. This is a unique hotel. Again, with basic but clean rooms. If you take a room with a view of the square you risk street noise, but the rooms in back are very quiet. I will stay here again.

Reviewed By Rob vWe hebben all inclusive geboekt. Deels in de herberg, deels op de camping. Een aanrader als je met een groepje mensen er eens onbezorgd op uit wil. Het ontbijt en eten was uitstekend. De bediening voortreffelijk en de accommodatie mooi verzorgd en schoon.

Reviewed By Cotje1985Camping de hitjesvijver is prima gelegen als uitvalsbasis, wel gehorig aan de bovenzijde van de camping naast de doorgaande weg. Sanitair is prima op orde aan de bovenzijde, aan de onderzijde van de camping is het sanitair echt aan vervanging toe. Parkeren op de camping kan beter georganiseerd worden zodat de auto's niet meer bij de tenten hoeven te staan. speeltuintje bied weinig uitdaging maar daarintegen is het naar zeggen verwarmd zwembad prima in orde. Restaurant is dik in orde lekker eten en goede kaart. Service van de uitbaters is prima.

Reviewed By Melanie050We have spent four nights here, it was very nice and clean, with a definite Greek style influence. The lounge and kitchen area are very spacious and comfortable with views if the street below. Despite being situated above a restaurant, it was very quiet and there was no noise from the streets below, although we heard the church bells in the morning, which I liked. For those who are less able, be aware that the entrance to the apartment is up two steep flights of stairs. It should also be noted that the apartment is rented out by room, so you may be required to share the space. We were locked out of the apartment by someone who had left their set if keys in the apartment door, thankfully they realised after a few minutes of us knocking and asking to be let in that we were not the police or burglars, but their roommates! Other than that we found the beds very comfortable and the bathroom and shower very nice and warm. Enjoyed our stay ?
