Reviewed By Eyttywe got a very small and old room and bathroom barely to move. From bed linen got rashes on the skin. We got very poor breakfast. Staff was kind and helpful. it is certainly not a 4 star but a 2 stars.

Great service, hotel rooms ok but needs updating
Reviewed By TMcGuire_95It's been almost 3 years since my last visit and the service and restaurant are still excellent but the rooms are showing age and need updating. I'm not picky - as long as rooms are clean I'm good bit even I notice the need for updating. Only complaint I had is that I just wanted some pomme Frits and beer and wanted to eat in the bar in the lobby while watching football. I was told I could only eat pomme Frits in the formal restaurant. I don't think that was that hard of a request.

A very nice not expensive accomodation
Reviewed By Tina MSimple but comfortable and very clean and quiet hotel, with wifi and very nice breakfast service. Extremely nice and polite staff. Hotel is close to the centre and train station. Very affordable as well.

Reviewed By ReizigerS2000Voor mijn kamer moest ik met zware bagage naar de 3e verdieping per trap; geen lift aanwezig! . Daarom zal ik er geen kamer meer reserveren. Kamer op zich was goed, bedden ook, grote TV aan de wand, helaas geen koelkast, Restaurant was voor mij prima.

Reviewed By JohnRWebbWe arrived here very much later than we were meant too due to a problem on the M6 motorway in England made the coach miss two ferries so we didn't get here until 00.05 the following morning. We have to say the hotel checked us in and got us off to bed very smoothly and quickly without any fuss although they must of been wanting to get off work them selves.The room was basic but clean the twin beds were comfortable and we also found a free safe in the wardrobe. We didn't need much rocking so if this hotel is near a railway station we neither saw it or heard a train in our over night stay. The next morning we had plenty of hot water and a good shower pressure so for us our Aggertal hotel room experience was great. We had been told our included breakfast was only a continental one so when I found scrambled eggs bacon and sausages with baked beans I was very pleased. Also when the orange juice was tasty and a full jug of coffee was left on our table so this made us feel we had a very good breakfast offering indeed ourselves, but no toaster did prove a problem for some we heard later. The check out again was faultless so we have no hesitation in recommending this Aggertal Hotel in Gummerbach Germany if you are in the area. John & Sue Eastbourne UK
