A lovely quaint hotel. Rooms were a bit small and there is no food Sunday to Thursday. The bar is good. the rooms are clean. Close to Yosemite. Because of Covid your room isn’t cleaned during your stay. This doesn’t worry us. there is no television. This wasn’t a problem for us. Great place outside to sit and a brilliant live band on Saturday night. We would stay again.

The bad: - poor customer service unfriendly front desk couple - don’t have housekeeping services and they don’t specified that on their website - room not very clean have dust everywhere

Come experience a wonderful escape at the Hotel Charlotte, located at the gateway to Yosemite. Enjoy the rustic quirks of a charming, historic boutique hotel coupled with a wonderfully inviting ambiance and stellar service that will leave you wanting more.At the Hotel Charlotte, you'll be welcomed by friendly, knowledgable staff who will help you settle in to one of our 10 hotel rooms or 6 guest houses. Whether you want to experience the natural wonders of the surrounding area and Yosemite, have a romantic getaway, or enjoy a stay in an authentic old west hotel, you will find what you are looking for at the Hotel Charlotte. The owners, Doug and Jenn Edwards, wanted to retain the gold rush feel of the hotel while at the same time modernizing and simplifying. The sage green walls, the throwback Edison lightbulbs, the oversized, brown velvet sofas - invite guests to step into a contemporary old west. The look of the hotel also carries into the adjoining restaurant, the Charlotte Bistro & Bar. Under the direction of Chef Doug Edwards, the restaurant features locally grown produce and innovative Modern American fare.
Adequate accommodation and great location for exploring the quieter parts of Yosemite. However, it was a bit like staying with your grandma with rules and laminated signs stuck on every wall. Some of the decor was tired (not due to the historic nature of the building) such as old and discoloured grouting, broken tiles and separation of ceiling panels. Be wary of the $10 per night fee to use the communal fridge - not ideal if you’re looking to get supplies for an early start the next morning!

Gorgeous location and you can switch off that phone and enjoy nature. Amazing hotel our second visit and hasn’t disappointed. Stayed for two nights whilst travelling and wish we’d stayed for 3 instead of moving on in park (Mariposa) for 3rd night as it wasn’t great even though states 4*. This hotel ideal for couples or families. Much to do

Coming from San Francisco, the hotel is past the town of Groveland. The location wasn't walkable to town, and what? no TV? LOL On our first night out of the city we missed the TY, but by the second night, we relaxed and started to enjoy the quiet. You could drive to a few restaurants and a grocery store in town, There was a refrigerator on the porch for everyone's use. Breakfast was coffee, tea, some fruit, banana bread, and pastries. The owners seem to be the only employees, and they were friendly enough. The bed was a little too soft for me, but everything was clean and otherwise comfortable. The setting was beautiful, with incredible dusk and moonlight views of the forest.

Our service includes clean, comfortable sleeping accomodations in beautiful Yosemite National Park gateway town of Groveland, Ca. Rooms display beautiful, custom painted themed rooms. There is a tasty homemade breakfast included the morning for (2) people.
Five stars for central Groveland location, a friendly and attentive host in Tammy, a filling and freshly made breakfast of fruit & yogurt, sausage and veggie omelet scramble with toast, juice and coffee, and a nicely furnished “Yosemite Falls” room! This affordable B&B is housed in a 120 year old Groveland house and each bedroom is unique. The exterior of the house is old and could use a fresh coat of paint, but step inside the front parlor and you will find antique chairs, tables and cabinets with modern day touches. The ground floor Yosemite Falls room was compact but comfortable for a two night stay. Bath is adjacent but not separate from the bed room and has a big corner/tub with handheld shower. Room has all the amenities as advertised. Highly recommend and would stay here again. Just remember to adjust your expectations as it’s a 120 year old house and not a modern Hyatt Regency.
