The location of AWO Hotel is unique. Our mansion is in the centre of Gniezno – close to the old square, The Cathedral, The Ecclesiastical Museum and The Museum Of The Origins Of The Polish State. This creates great opportunity to visit Gniezno on foot. In the hotel there is a restaurant with delicious food. You can also have a meal in our garden, which is full of flowers.
We stayed there for 4 days, the room was very well organised, comfy and practical and had an extra bonus - a balcony overlooking the city. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast included - tasty , served on fancy china dishes, restaurant food also very good.Lovely flowers all around. Everything definitely above expectations, Great value!

During our Wielkopolska trip we have been for one night in Ibis Styles Gniezno Stare Miasto Hotel. it is standard Ibis Hotel, clean, well located with free car parking and wi-fi. Hotel waas booked via ALL - Accor Live Limitless website using Reward points, unfortunatelly hotel crew do not offered benefits during check-in as per Accor offer. they call our room at late evening with appologize making us a bit dissappointed. All other was as per Ibis standard.

This place is basic but the beds are good and the place is clean so it is fine for a stop-over in Gniezno. In winter keep your windows shut or your room will smell of oil burners to heat homes from the neighbors.

As there were no other guests (or at least I saw no one else), the lady at the reception was kind enough to offer me the only room which has its huge balcony. The room itself was very spacious too and niclely furnished. Just make your own judgement by having a look at the pictures enclosed. Keep up the good work!

The hotel is great for its price. Located on the Market Square (Rynek), a few steps away from the Cathedral. Spacious and tidy room, very small bathroom. Great bed with a baldachin. On the minus side - the reception is a pizzeria/kebab restaurant, not very presentable. The smell in the corridor was terrible, it didn't smell in the room though (we had a room on the 2nd floor). A few steep steps from the restaurant to the hotel part of the building, no elevator. Breakfast was served in the restaurant and wasn't of very high quality (as the restaurant itself I suppose). All in all, the hotel is good value for its money and for a very short stay.

We were passing the town and we had selected this place earlier. Finding the hotel parking was a bit tough because front entrance was on a walking promenade. Room's didn't have AC - and when you have extreme heat wave outside - the room was hot,... Bed mattresses were worn out which always derates the review. Breakfast wasn't that good, and the variety wasn't good either. This was the second derating matter. Hotel was located in the center of the old town and was absolutely great. We didn't dine at hotels restaurant - we tried to have drinks but no waiters appeared so we decided to leave and decided the same time that we will not dine at this place.

This hotel is definitely a throwback to Communist times, with the exception of the reception staff and breakfast. For western visitors this is rather basic; tired decor; basic amenities; but for the price tremendous value and an amazing location, walking distance from the ancient city centre and beautiful central square. The room was basic; bed was clean and comfortable, could maybe have done with a blanket. I think the worst aspect was the bathroom, small but ok, the smell was over powering; rotting vegetable matter can only describe it. Guess it was the drains. Breakfast room was clean, we are late but still plenty to enjoy basic continental with some additions but adequate. Price wise spectacular, environment ok, rooms basic, staff were amazing, English is spoken. I would stay again, but might take a bottle of bleach to aim to kill the smell in the bathroom.
