Seven stroy brick building with interior corridors.
If you enjoy being treated brusquely and rudely by a desk clerk, this is the place for you. I have never been spoken to in such an insulting, belligerent and threatening manner - both on the phone and face to face - as I was by the night clerk at this property. Greeted with a smile and a warm cookie? Not here.

Stayed Memorial Day weekend for a soccer tournament. We reserved the king room with fridge. The room is small but sufficient, the bathroom is barely useable it's so small. I would expect this size in a large city downtown but not in Gaithersburg. Housekeeping never came so I had to request towels, etc. Front desk staff upon arrival was less than friendly, though the woman who I saw at the desk later in the weekend was polite. THERE IS NO OUTDOOR POOL. The website clearly states an OUTDOOR AND INDOOR POOL. This is why we booked this hotel. No outdoor pool. Add on top of that there is a "lifeguard" at the indoor pool. Great, right? No. My son and his friend were constantly told to stop playing in the pool. His mom and myself were clearly watching them and being mindful of the few others in the pool, but the lifeguard watched them like a hawk with a fowl expression and jumped up every chance she had to tell them they were being too wild. Another boy same age was there with his dad and he repeatedly jumped in the pool from the side. After our kids saw him do so multiple times they did the exact same thing in the same location and they were yelled at. Totally ruined the pool experience. Stairwells were not well lit, while the elevators lurched and stalled and made us all uncomfortable. I gave it two stars because it was a decent location. Did I mention the cookies were not warm or fresh tasting? I would not recommend this hotel and obviously we will not be staying here next time.

Great place for your next event! I needed to schedule an event for 50 in Gaithersburg with attractive lunch options. This property exceeded my expectations with quick and comprehensive event planning support, great menu, free parking, modern and attractive meeting space with an enormous lounge and patio that faced the lake on the 2nd floor. Menu options were plentiful and reasonably priced. Selected several sandwiches which were large artisan creations, salads and desserts that were enjoyed by all. IT and Audio-Visual equipment worked perfectly too! The staff went above and beyond with excellent communication and service delivery making it a great experience. Thank you Jordan, Jessa, Sarah, Carmen and Almaz for your indispensable service!

All of the lights are way too bright, they're blinding. There is only one bathroom light which is nice and bright for all other uses than when having to use it in the middle of the night. The switches don't even work to turn any of the lights on either.

The hotel is dated . It is a pet friendly hotel and unfortunately you can tell that by the smell as soon as you walk in. You would think that they clean carpets , but they don't . Hotel was full of kids for soccer tournament and only one elevator was working . Beds are full size and very small and uncomfortable . When asked for extra sheets for sofa bed they didn't have any . Lady from the front desk turn off the TV in the lobby at 10:00 pm claiming that there is quit time . ( That didn't not happen the night before ) . In the mean time there was party happening on every floor . Also Do not let the pictures confuse you - there is no pool in this facility . Location is good but that's about it . Never again.

Before we stayed at this Residence Inn, I received an email suggesting that I download and install the Marriott Bonvoy app. It said that it would make my check-in easier and lots of other wonderful things. Well I did install the app.. I was invited to make my requests for my stay directly in the app. When I arrived at the hotel my check-in was no different from ever before. When I got to my assigned room, NOTHING that I had requested was there. I had requested foam pillows because of allergy to feathers, but no luck. I had requested additional towels, no luck. We needed to wake up at 7:15AM and asked for a wakeup call. We were awakened instead at 6:15AM. WHAT? This was not like any of the other Residence Inns I have ever stayed in. It was markedly inferior.

Stayed a few nights. The hotel is situated in a decent area and there are stores, places to eat around the area. There was easy parking and access to main roads and highways, yet not noisy. The room is as spacious and clean, although there is a certain smell in hallways and in the room. Maybe because there are people staying there for extended periods. The hotel is showing its age and I think is due for a renovation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast had some good items, but was not the best I have ever had. I skipped the coffee too. The patio outside was the best feature, and we used it everyday. If I had to back to the area I would look for another place unless this has been renovated.
