Used the hotel as a stopover en-route to Erfurt. My experience, which I note is contrary to several others, was very good. The hotel is large, spotlessly clean and full of super friendly and helpful staff. My room was a good size, very clean, robes, nice bathroom. However I knock of one point for the absence of tea or coffee making facilities. At breakfast the dining area was virtually deserted. The choice was excellent and good quality. There is a nice basement bar in traditional style, open until about midnight. Large car park. A taxi from Frankfurt airport was about €200. There is extremely scenic countryside close to the hotel, if you like woods and hills.

The Maritim Hotel am Schlossgarten Fulda is located right in the middle of the idyllic Schlossgarten in the middle of the historical town of Fulda. The hotels offers you a unique combination of modern amenities and a great with direct views to the extensive garden. Culinary treats are best tasted in the vaults of the hotel's restaurant Diana cellar.
We visited the town of Fulda on our unexpected trip to Germany, through covid 19-times. Never been here before and slightly lost. But everything changed, when a young waiter at the orangeri next to the hotel spontanelesly started telling us about the history of the marvelous paintings on the ceiling. The same waiter later served us dinner at the Dianakeller restaurant in the cellar of the Maritim hotel am Schlossgarten. Even if he was very busy, because of many visiting and hungry guests, he took his time to serve us with a smile behind his mask and in a very friendly, very polite and serviceminded behaviour, with made us feel very welcome instantly. We will always remember Fulda because of this most pleasant experience! Thank you J !

Nice, central hotel and more modern an nicer than I expected. Very clean rooms, early checkin was no problem. Breakfast was not cheap at 15 euros, but nice with a lot of jams, eggs, a lot of different cheeses and dips and grilled vegetables. Although they advertise that their breakfast buffet has vegan options, I found the vegan options limited. Options for vegetarians are very good with a lot of cheeses. Staff is friendly and speaks also English. Room was big enough. There was a coffee machine with only one coffee capsule per person per night (extra capsules available for 1 euro). Tea bags were provided, but no kettle. The coffee machine did only provide hot water with a cofffee taste, so I would have preferred a kettle. Rooms were really quiet a night. I would return.

I have recently returned from a three night stay at the Hotel Fulda Mitte. I opted for the '3 nights for 2' deal. which included breakfast and a three course meal on the second night. As I booked directly via their website, I received a voucher for a free drink - either tea, coffee, beer, wine or soft - and I chose to use that with the dinner. When I made the reservation, I intended booking a 'superior' room but they were fully booked and I noticed that the 'suite' was not much more expensive than the 'deluxe' so I decided to treat myself to a suite instead. What I like about this hotel is that they have an 'early check-in' offer for just 20 euros so I was pleased to be able to get into my room as soon as I had arrived after my very early morning flight. For some reason, when I booked the 3 for 2 deal, the early check-in offer no longer appeared as an option on the website but I emailed the hotel afterwards and Sebastien replied very promptly. He told me they also had a luggage room that I could use. My suite was very spacious with two full length windows/doors and a railing outside. There were keys but also a sign saying not to open the doors for 'security' reasons. I appreciate that, if a guest is travelling with young children, then this is appropriate but I would have liked to open them myself. There was plenty of seating, a fridge, four mugs, better coffee than I usually find in hotel rooms as well as a lovely bathroom, which was a lot nicer and more modern than the pictures on the website. I also had a bathrobe and slippers and a corby trouser press; I asked reception for an iron. There was no safe in my room, however. In the bathroom I had two sinks and there was a complimentary shower cap, body lotion and a combined hand, hair and body wash. The TV was enormous and the bed was very comfortable; I had requested a double but it was two singles pushed together with separare bedding. That didn't bother me but a couple might prefer a proper double. I slept well and was not disturbed by any noise. The staff was friendly and polite and the breakfast team was very professional. I had breakfast in the breakfast room on my first morning and due to changes implemented because of the current coronavirus situation, the buffet was not self-service. I ordered coffee and it came in an enormous pot, which was great. I think they offer a variety of coffees as I saw one guest drinking what looked like a milky coffee topped with cream but you'd probably have to ask for a list and as I was happy with black coffee, I didn't enquire about any speciality versions. I requested breakfast in my room for the second morning and thought the 3 euro surcharge was good value. The choice was great and everything was in order. I requested soya milk for my cereal and even though it wasn't on the menu, they provided it for me. On a weekday, breakfast starts at 6.30am but on my last morning I had an early train to catch so I checked out at 5.15am and therefore was too early for breakfast. In hindsight I should have asked at reception whether they could have served something earlier in my room as I'm sure that wouldn't have been a problem for them. I was in Fulda to spend time with my son, who is living there at the moment and he joined me for dinner on the second night. I had requested a vegetarian meal in advance and a set menu was provided for us both. I had only informed them that he would be dining with me, two hours before reserving a table but this was no problem. Service in the restaurant was very quick and portions were generous; the staff was again excellent. There is a 24 hour reception, which is very useful when you arrive or depart early or late. As I had a train to catch, I wanted a quick checkout. The night receptionist was already at the desk when I exited the lift and the checkout process was good. It was still dark when I left and I had considered asking him to book a taxi for me but I decided to walk instead. The hotel is on a ring road that runs alongside the town centre so it is only a short walk to reach most places and the route felt safe. I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Fulda Mitte and look forward to staying there in the future, when I visit my son again. Thank-you very much to all the staff for helping to make my trip so pleasant.

The Ibis Fulda hotel is ideally located 10 minutes on foot from the baroque centre of Fulda and 5 minutes from the castle gardens. Easily accessible, close to the railway station (500 m) and the A7 motorway, the hotel has 75 airconditioned rooms with WiFi access, including 3 for disabled guests. With restaurants nearby, the hotel features a bar open 24 hours and undercover pay parking. The Stadttheater is close by and there is a golf course just a little further away.
At check in reminding of our booking for room with twin beds. Arriving to room being one double bed. Welcome letter and drinks voucher placed on bed for totally different person. Returning to reception who state being unable to correct obvious error due to rooms allocated by person not on duty. Wrote a complaint to Hotel Manager. No response at all here 3 weeks later. Poor service even towards loyalty Gold members. Next morning going to breakfast buffet searching for trays and plates. Appeared that indifferent receptionist had to hand out these things - person should in that case show better service mindedness. By the way, only herb tea at breakfast - no kind of black tea when asking. Like only offering decaf coffee for coffe drinkers.

Last-minute decision to stay a night in Fulda. Found this hotel via booking.com, but decided to pay the hotel a visit and book directly at the front desk. We found the price to be higher at the front desk than through booking.com! Only approx. 10 euros, but still rather disappointing. The hotel only had few guests due to the on-going pandemic, however, we were given a double room on the 1st floor just next to the lift. In addition, the room had windows facing the street with a traffic intersection just outside our window (with that being said, the neighborhood is rather quiet, so we weren't actually disturbed by the traffic). We went to the front desk pointing out our "issues" with the room. We were told that they didn't have so many guests, thus the lift/elevator would not bother us. Moreover, they didn't have other rooms available.... how that adds up, I can't figure out. Well, we did get a good nights sleep despite us having second thought about the hotel. The room was clean and the location is quite nice. Next morning we had breakfast in the hotel. Pretty standard continental breakfast - nothing fancy and definitely not more than a 3-star experience. We found the milk to taste a bit funny, but not sure whether it was just us or the milk actually being sour. We pointed it out to the staffmember who rather rude just finished us off with a "the milk was delivered this morning - no chance there is something wrong!". Not exactly a service-minded or polite response. To sum things up: Nice location. Clean rooms. Standard hotel. Rather impolite staff. Book through booking.com as it is cheaper!

We stayed in this hotel for one night as we were passing by and needed a room for a family with a dog. The rooms were very nice and tidy. There was a very interesting park/cemetery next to the hotel which was great to go walking with the dog. The breakfast was also very good and there was an underground parking which was also quite convenient.
