DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY !!!!!!! Very quaint. But after long days of travel, all I wanted was a hot shower. This place has a quaint appearance with its outdated charm, but beware! For the price you should get so much better. 4000PhP per night ($80 US equivalent) I expected hot water with pressure- instead I got warm water at a drip. The bed sheets were not clean, so waking up itching head to toe, I received no relief trying desperately to get water. This place doesn’t compare to 500PhP accommodations in the Provence. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!

Had a good stay with family. Affordable with the rooms clean and the staff polite. It's in the city center so you can just walk around the city going to the restaurants or Rizal Boulevard and everything. Hotel is a little bit worn out already but still worth a stay. They can improve on reinforcing COVID guidelines though. There were guests going around without masks, even near the the buffet area during breakfast. We told the staff but I'm not sure if they did anything. Overall it was pleasant, except for that one very important complaint, especially nowadays.

I stayed in this place for 2 weeks straight to attend a bootcamp. A good place to stay in Dumaguete City. Excellent location, friendly staff and it's near to pharmacy, police station, public market, and even 7/11 store on the entrance.

Great AC, nice staff, charge for extra towel charge for room service and did not tell us. No microwave available after hours, Bathroom window not covered for privacy. Amex card not accepted but accepted online. Charge me a higher rate then Agoda. Overall a safe, clean place for the price. Great security staff, always courteous and respectable

Located near the seaport, airport, and within the growing foodie district of Piapi in Dumaguete City, Casa Arrieta is your perfect Dumaguete home. Go on a food crawl in every direction, relax and recharge in nearby spas, or cross the street to see one of Dumaguete's holiday attractions -- the Dumaguete Christmas House. There is definitely something for everyone!
Stayed here for a night but it felt like home with the convenience of a hostel. Greeted by the host who gave a quick tour of the place and escorted me to my room. She even shared her number so I can reach out directly to her should I need anything. She even opened the gate in the wee hours of day because she knew I was leaving that early. Bed was comfortable clean (even covered by plastic to prevent dust etc). My space had hostel usuals of outlet, lamp, a small shelf to put stuff on. Its mess hall felt like a true home kitchen too as you're free to use their cups as long as you clean them after. Location-wise, it's in a quiet street but close enough (within walking distance or quick tricycle ride) to the port and restaurants.

It's decent basic hotel. Shower water pressure isn't that strong though and there's no elevator. There is a laundrymat downstairs but when I asked to borrow iron, they don't have one which is a bit hassle for me as I had to attend a wedding. Advantage is that it's very close to city mall where you have many shop options.

Stayed from May 31-June 3, 2022. The resort is well maintained with a lovely pool. It took sometime for us to check-in since our rooms were not available as to the specified time of 3 pm. My husband was quite pissed off with the delay. However the staff apologized & we were compensated with tokens of pastries & free airport shuttle on our departure which we appreciated. The rooms are spacious & beds are comfortable. The staff are really friendly & helpful. There are restaurants inside the compound so you don’t have to go out of the resort after a tiring day of touring. If you want a peaceful & quiet resort to chill away from the noise of the city, this is your resort.

This place is right in the middle of town with many places to eat and go shop. The room staff as well as the receptionists were very helpful and jovial. Sadly our door was broken and the place was a bit rundown.

The guest service at Southview Hotel in Dumaguete sucks! Certainly a hotel/quarantine facility I would recommend. My observations are as follows: 1. Poor hygiene in the preparation and handling for food and water. -The kitchen crew cutting the carrots in the kitchen was not wearing a mask. -The utensils (spoon and fork) were just left uncovered in an open area outside the kitchen without proper cover. Viruses and bacteria can easily contaminate it. 2. The water provided is one 350ml mineral water (the smallest size) per meal. With this quantity the guest are prone to experience constipation due to the lack of adequate drinking water. 3. The delivery of food is delayed. Breakfast should be delivered to guests at 7am but they deliver it only at 9am on 2 occasions. 4. The front desk does not provide the contact name and number of their Manager because she reasons that it is a confidential information. A clear cover up, which indicates that they are not prepared to hear out and action on issues raised by the guests. Please to the management of Southview hotel. Kindly execute your job well.
