The beds have been carefully chosen to provide maximum relaxation and comfort. Fireproof mattresses, hypoallergenic pillows and fluffy duvets make your stay a real unforgettable experience. The bathrooms are all furnished with large glass shower and the shower heads make the water come as if it were wrapped in a waterfall. Sleeping in Duino has never been so beautiful! Each morning the hotel also offers a rich and tasty buffet breakfast with homemade pastries and a wide assortment of cold meats, cheese, ground farm eggs and a variety of freshly cut fruit to create tailor made fruit salads.

Situated in the village of Duino (Trieste), few minutes from the town centre, our Bed&Breakfast enjoys a beautiful view on the wonderful Castleoverhanging the sea; it is open to the public, yet the Princes of Torre e Tasso still lives there.
Nice cosy place in a good location
Reviewed By Katja TWe stayed here for 5 days because it is an excelent starting point for visiting many great places such as Slovenian seaside and city Trieste, Soča valley, Kras and Goriska Brda or beautiful italian cities (Palmanova, Aquilea, Grado...) Breakfast is included and it is good even for nonitalian people ? and it is prepared on the terasse. Strong coffee, tea and cocoa, cheese, ham, prosciutto, yogurt, toast, cereals, honey, jam, bagels and of course many sweets. Bread was only white - that was a little bit disapointing because many people prefer wholegrain. Rooms are little small, but nice, cosy and clean, with small very quiet and usefull fridge, windows have double glazing so there is no noise from the street. Bathroom is ok with enough storage place, shower is a little small and the drain is slow but it is managable even for taller people. Parking is 50m away, free and safe. There is less than 5 minutes walk to the center of Duino, Rikle trail and castle and around 1min drive to the nearest supermarket. Owners are nice and helpful, younger girl named Francesca is also speaking english.

Ok hotel for its price, great breakfast, ok location
Reviewed By jkaur96This hotel was for a short last minute stay by the beach. The beach is very crowded! THe hotel is right by some nice restaurants I would recommend the fish house! Breakfast is nice and the hotel staff are friendly and helpful ! When we walked to the beach we couldn't find a quicker route so it took 30 minutes but if you ask staff there is probably a faster route to the beach!

Reviewed By Vegas TFly into Duino, We used this B&B as a jumping off point for Trieste, Monfelcone, and Vinice. The bus comes through town all day. Rent a car in Trieste or catch the train out of Molfelcone. We spent a lot of time in Duino hanging out with some UWC students at the cove, dining at nice little restraunts/cafe', walking the trails and cliff side. in the area. We also found a winery in walking distance, more of an evening of tasting and mingling. If you like museums I recommend the castle and cliff side WW1 cave bunkers.

"Dama Bianca" is the perfect place for those who want to spend a few days in a homely atmosphere. The structure is situated on the sea, set in a small harbour with private beach and surrounded by greenery,little farther, stands out the rock on which towers the castle of Duino. Seven very bright rooms, all with sea view and balcony, which is the ideal place for both breakfast and main meals, welcome guests with elegant furnishings. The hotel has its own restaurant, where you can taste fresh local fish, delicious first dishes and homemade desserts. Regarding swimming and tanning, the private hotel structures allows you to enjoy the pleasures of bathing in peace and security. The Varisco family and its staff will welcome you joyfully and will do their best to make sure you'll have great time.
Great location, dated rooms, mediocre service
Reviewed By duetadventuresPOSITIVE NOTES: The e ocean-front property has an amazing view. The restaurant offers tasty seafood and a nice wine selection. The cocktail bar is very lovely in the evening lighting. We also had nice interaction with some of the staff, including the owners wife. They provided us with simple breakfast every morning. NEGATIVE NOTES: The rooms are very overpriced. They are outdated with thin walls, and come with meager amenities: the hair blow dryers are from the 1950s, the towels are thin and scratchy, shampoo and conditioner are not provided, there is not a mini fridge, water kettle or coffee maker (and they made a big fuss when we asked for hot water for tea) I would expect this for a budget hotel, but not at this price. The charge for double occupancy was outrageously high given – in fact the highest % increase I have seen in my travels – especially as there are no single beds, extra keys, or other features to warrant the additional cost. But most frustrating was the service. The owner and his son were aggressive, rude and overall disrespectful. This unprofessionalism would never be acceptable in other countries or in larger Italian cities where there are other options to stay. In my opinion, Dama Blanca has a monopoly on the sea-side location in an otherwise very small town, and therefore does not feel the need to upgrade their 6 rooms, or act with care to their customers. This is unfortunate as our family member will be attending the UWC school for two years, and we will have many occasions to come back to Duino. IN SUMMARY: I recommend dinner or lunch at the restaurant but would be wary of paying for the hotel.
