The hotel is very close to wonderful beaches and promenades by the sea. Bus stop is nearby( bus 1 from Douarnenez tourist office) The room is big and confortable. It si possible with extra cost of 6 euros to have breakfast at Golden Tulip Hotel with beautiful terrace with view on the sea. I recommend the Spa ( costs 18 euro for Premier classe guests)

Facing the Bay of Douarnenez, in the heart of the town, in an enclosed park, with an outdoor heated swimming pool, you will discover a harmony between the 20th and 21st centuries. Most of our rooms benefit from either a lounge or a balcony, a seaview or gardenview. Lovely restaurant and seasonal cuisine. Wellness area, whirlpool, Turkish baths, sauna, fitness and massages room.
This place is in a big need of renovation! It has so much potential. But right now it is old, used and everything is half broken and half ok. For example all the hangers in our bathroom was broken. The color of the doors to the rooms are fallen off in pieces. The room has an old odor. I guess the room was clean, but you can’t feel it as you have the smell and all broken things. The pool is warm, but dirty. The wifi is veeery slow. The staff is polite and helpful and one person in the front desk staff is really good in English. Breakfast is bad. Everything felt old. The baguettes were so hard you could kill someone with them. Eggs were boiled in 10 minutes… Then they have the word silence in their name. But our neighbors were fighting really loud until midnight one evening. I mentioned that at check out but the lady didn’t care.

4 Star hotel ? No. More like 1 star. Arrived for two nights to find the parking for which we were charged was down the street. There was no availability in the restaurant on either of the two evenings we were staying and the room was not serviced by housekeeping at all while we were there. We paid extra for a sea view which you could just manage over the top of the roof of the restaurant. Dated and shabby hotel with unprofessional and disinterested staff apart from the gentleman on reception whose talents would be better employed in a hotel that shares his values of customer service because in this one he is wasting his time. Overpriced incompetence. Avoid.

Busy terrace of hotel. Good service but variable quality - My partner’s Salmon tagliatelle was very generous and tasty but my chicken basquaise was disappointing. The chicken piece was so small that when I had taken off the meat from the bone you could put all that meat in an egg cup. So basically what I was paying for was rice and some tomato sauce. Very poor. Dessert was for both of us - an average small brownie cut in half with Chantilly cream. 12 euros.

Last minute decision , however for one night this charming Auberge was more than adequate. Parking spaces, quiet location where the bedroom was. Easy access to the town centre. The lift was handy to have as we had bags to carry! The triple room was large, bright and very clean . Lovely bedding, mattresses firm but comfortable. The bathroom/ shower room was spotless and inviting! The value for this place was excellent and all in all this place deserves a higher rate compared to some other places which were rated higher but were disappointing. We couldn't eat in the restaurant as Mondays it is closed.

I stayed here with my sister. The apartment block is right on the sea at the grand port of Douarnenez and quite our favourite part of town. As a result this top floor apartment has wonderful views. The apartment is thoughtfully decorated and furnished with everything you could possibly need for your stay. There is one bedroom and a very comfortable sofa bed. We sampled the port front cafes and restaurants literally no more than a 5 minute walk. It's also possible to fully explore the entire town from this perfect base. Olivier made us very welcome and even made a local Breton butter cake (Kouign Amman) for us to sample. Olivier is an accomplished baker as well as a great host! Note that there is no lift if that is important to you.

Located in the heart of the city, not far from the old port of Rosmeur, Hotel de France is part of the heritage of Douarnenez where he was born in 1878. Our hotel will certainly meet your expectations: whether his hotel by 22 rooms, restaurant "unusual" 43 squares, shaded terrace, banquet hall with its starry sky ...
Good little hotel right in the centre. Close to the shops, port and beach. The room was clean and tidy. Provided a kettle with tea and coffee which was a nice touch. My only grumble would be that there was no bath. Only a shower. We had a very comfortable nights sleep. Definitely return to stay in this hotel if we make a visit to the town again.

This hotel has a good location (facing the coach stop to/from Quimper) And most important it has a lovely terrace/breakfast room on the estuary and the hotel's garden downstairs. Rooms are very clean and comfy but absolutely book a room on backside ! Rooms on streetside are not quiet... The hotel managers (a couple) are very helpful and I am very grateful to them. As I drown my mobile phone in the sea, they lended me some devices (an old tablet and later a later an old phone). It was very useful ! I also borrowed some tools and screwers in order to open and to try to fix my phone. Last thing : I booked directly on their official website because it was cheaper than the international booking sites usually used (like Booking). So do the same and book directly on their official website !

My partner and I arrived without a reservation asking for a one night stay. We had a small room with a partial sea view, which was fine. The hotel is beautiful and in a remote spot in Treboul, not far from a small beach. The restaurant was closed for dinner so we were directed to ‘La Capitainerie’. a ten minute walk along the coast in the pouring rain! The next day my partner wasn’t feeling well and the young man on Reception very kindly arranged for us to move to another superior room for a second night. Fortunately I booked for dinner, which was delicious - the restaurant was full. I chose burrata to start, followed by goujons of hake on vegetables, then a plate of cheeses. Breakfast on our first morning was good, however on the second morning at 0930 there were no croissants or juice and I had to ask for more baguette. Service was good, especially Reception. We’ll happily return.

In a green setting 1k500 from the white sandy beach and the marina, in the commune of Douarnenez, the kerleyou *** campsite offers you mobile home and camping pitches. The indoor and heated swimming pool, the children's playground and the volleyball and home ball courts will delight your children. In summer, a snack bar and bread depot are open, some entertainment will be provided for your days. the nearest shopping centre is 2 km away.
Small, quiet, lovely pool, spotlessly clean, nice size emplacements and you can rent a fridge! no more faffing about with a piddly camping fridge and ice packs. Absolutely lovely local area and beaches were pristine
