With local Highland views Tulloch Castle resides at the top of the hill of the market town of Dingwall, just over the bridge and north of Inverness; where extensive shops can be enjoyed at Eastgate Shopping. Tulloch Castle's the perfect base, off the beaten path, to exploring the enchanting Black Isle of the east & the stunning contrasts of the unforgettable glens and rugged coastlines of the West Highlands; all just a daytrip away.
I was going back and forth on whether this was a 3 or 4 rating but ended up giving the 4. Staff was very good, super nice. We did the tour and enjoyed that as well. Location was fine, not that far out of the way and 30 min from the airport with enough around for gas, food and grocery. We stayed in the Mackenzie Apartment, top floor very huge. It did have dead bees popping up all over in the living room area and the couch was worn. There was a ripped towel in front of the small bathroom shower. No door for the large bathroom. Toilet paper holder fell off when you touched it. Tables were sticky, for example I placed a souvenir box of chocolates on it and when I picked it up later the paper back tore off and stuck to the table. Other than all that, it was a little creepy to stay there, it was a very cool old castle, so overall I still wanted to give it a 4. Would we stay there again? No

Friendly family run B&B in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Dingwall is a great central point for exploring, hill walking, cycling, motor bike tour, dolphin stopping, loch ness, whisky tours, golfing and numerous castles all within a short car journey or a great start and end to the North Coast 500. All our rooms are unsuite with fabulous power showers, unfloor heating so very cosy in the winter too. And easy to access on the ground floor, the B&B has its own entrance to the family house so you can enjoy your privacy but still have the warm welcome of a family B&B. Breakfast is cooked fresh to order with a huge selection to chose from. Full Scottish, porridge, eggs on toast or a simple continental to set you up for the day. Dingwall has several nice restaurants all within short walking distance from The Birches. To book THE BIRCHES always contact Moira directly to get the best rate.
I stayed for 3 nights and wished it had been more! The rooms are totally immaculate, warm and cosy with great WiFi and a great shower. The owner couldn't have been more friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was simply superb. Free parking and a great location to visit the east coast of Scotland. I literally can't rate this place high enough, it's an absolute gem and I had such a welcoming stay. Thank you.

The Whitehouse has newly opened as a Bikers B&B in the heart of the Highlands, offering a high standard of accommodation. All rooms are en-suite with showers. Dining room with open fire. Private parking. Situated in the middle of the small village of Conon Bridge, we are centrally located for touring the North of Scotland, being only a 2 hour drive to Skye, John'O Groats or Durness.
Brellin was an excellent host to our entire party of 6 middle-aged motorcyclist. The rooms are amazing, not only are they extremely comfy with plenty of room. They were impeccably clean too. Breakfast was fantastic catering for anything we wished on her menu including full Scottish. The black pudding was so good 4 of us asked for a full roll to take back home. There is a wonderful room at the back for guests to relax in and enjoy drinks & bring your own food beck from the takeaways Because my group filled more than her B&B Brellin found another B&B just minutes walk away for 2 more of us. This place is run by Rose and called View bank where again we were looked after brilliantly. Especially spoiled with cake every evening we got back. I would highly recommend both to anyone biker or otherwise to book here for an excellent location and venue Thanks Brellin and Rose.

Where do I start with this one. As my husband said, we wouldn’t have been surprised if Basil Fawlty had appeared! Check-in isn’t exactly a seamless or professional experience. However, I have to praise the guy at the desk as he couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. He showed us to our room with the number scrawled on the door in felt tip ? On first inspection, the room looked OK, but this was short lived. Threadbare bedding, unsafe, unsecured bathroom windows which were draughty and were unable to be closed. The curtains in the bedroom hung from a few hooks hiding a broken window behind them. The radiator only heated along the bottom and the room was cold with the draughty and broken windows. Sweet wrappers and maltesers were found down the side of the bed from the previous guests. The WiFi wasn’t the best and the TV wouldn’t connect to allow us to watch it. To top it all off, when we asked what time breakfast was, we were told it wasn’t provided, despite it being clearly written on our booking. Given, what we paid, we weren’t expecting much, but we didn’t expect NOTHING! The few highlights were that the shower was brand new and looked newly tiled and painted, along with the floor. Also have to comment again on the guy at reception who gave up his personal fire stick so that we could watch something on the TV. It was definitely an experience, one we probably won’t be repeating!! ? The 1 star ⭐️ is for Steve!

Fantastic family and dog friendly place for coffee, evening meals and lovely pub nights. We were at the charity pub quiz on Tuesday, and it was a hoot. Lovely outside seating in the garden during the day (with lots of space for kids to keep themselves amused), and beautifully renovated inside. The guys there, and their team, have done such lovely job, and the customer service is excellent.
