Denali National Park and Preserve is most famous for being the home of Mount McKinley, also called Denali, meaning "The Great One." At 20,320 feet, Mount McKinley is the highest peak in North America. The park, which is larger than the state of Massachusetts, has only one road, making it the perfect backcountry adventure. Try to spot The Big Five: moose, caribou, Dall sheep, wolves and grizzly bears.

This hotel is situated on a bluff the looks out on Mt. Denali and the national park. Room was clean and comfortable, nothing exceptional. Restaurant was OK, breakfast buffet a little overpriced. Staff very helpful and attentive. The road up is winding and rough, but cute road signs keep it interesting.

We spent two nights at the cabins and had a wonderful experience. The cabins were clean, the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The view from our door was spectacular. The staff took great pride in landscaping and had beautiful hanging baskets at each cabin. We were in a cabin that was a duplex and never heard sounds from the room next door. The insulation must be superb! Every staff member we came in contact with was helpful and pleasant. It was a great experience being at McKinley Creekside Cabins.

This hotel is about 10 miles away from the Denali park entrance and middle of no where. I was not aware off it when I booked it online. So when I reached, I was quite concerned about the safety. However, after talking with manager Sherry, I checked in. Sherry was quite helpful. Rooms provided all the basic needs. Nearest restaurant is about 2 miles. For couple of night stay, it is a good option.

This was a very nice hotel with a great view. They provided clean rooms. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant offers wonderful meals. The only downfall is that our room was quite the walking distance.

New local owners starting summer 2020. Carlo Creek Cabins offers a rich Alaskan history having been homesteaded since 1959. We are known by many for our distinctive features including black spruce burls and handcrafted log cabins. We invite you to stay nestled in the Alaska Range in a private cabin on the creek, or one of our private lodge rooms. Enjoy a restful evening on wooded acres bordered by Carlo Creek.
We enjoyed our stay. The high points are the quiet, the beautiful, relaxing Carlo Creek behind cabin 4, the accommodating staff, and convenience to some nice restaurants across the street. The cabin is rustic and very basic with a small fridge, small microwave, and small table. There is a comfortable queen bed and a twin (although a third person would be quite crowded) and two night tables.

With Denali Cabins by Pursuit, we combine charm of Alaskan cabins with the comforts of a hotel room. You get all the amenities: private bath, wireless internet, TV, phone and comfortable beds. Plus, you get your own cedar cabin nestled conveniently by the highway in the arboreal forest next to Denali National Park. Convenient to package with a day trip into Denali National Park on Denali Backcountry Adventure!
The cabin is perfect with a rustic feeling but modern plumbing. The room had WIFI that was helpful in sharing online pics of the adventures that day of Denali. The shuttle is an excellent value that can pick you up from the train (or bus) depot, get you to the entrance of Denali (and the park shuttles), and can get you to the nearby tourist area. Rental cars are expensive and this was a huge savings in the shuttle. I highly recommend the onsite restaurant, Prey. The staff is friendly and the food is reasonably priced (for Alaska as getting the ingredients there is pricy!) I enjoyed to breakfast that were tasty (one there and one to-go I ate within Denali Park) and one evening meal with caribou meatloaf. The property is clean and safe but the staff is absolutely outstanding.

Nestled on Sugarloaf Mountain overlooking the Alaska Range, Denali Crow's Nest Log Cabins are located in the heart of everything Glitter Gulch has to offer. Staying at the Crow's Nest Cabins means you don’t have to worry about driving anywhere once you get here. While most area attractions are within walking distance, the resort provides free on-site shuttle service during operating hours, making it easy for guests to get to Denali National Park or local area restaurants and shopping in minutes. Experience the vacation of a lifetime at Denali National Park while enjoying your own private log cabin complete with an on-site restaurant and incredible views.
Do Not Stay Here I would not recommend staying at Crow’s Nest. We paid over $300 per night to say at this cabin hotel, which is a ridiculous price for what it is. It is high up a very steep hill, though there are also 100s of stairs you can take from the bottom. If you don’t have a car and are unwilling to walk you are completely dependent on the shuttle to get anywhere. There is no Uber around Denali. It is highly inconvenient, and one night my husband and I called more than 30 times until he finally walked up the stairs to find out their phone wasn’t working. The cabins are on various levels, some up flights of stairs. The rooms are very rustic and include one soap by the sink but no shampoo. The sink is by the bed, so if there is anyone else in the room with you you will wake them up washing up or getting ready. A problem that plagued us all three days, was getting into the room. The key to our room either did not work and/or the door required brute strength to open. You could not quietly open or close the door which meant if one person was asleep the other person had to stay in the room so as not to awaken them. We also needed to make sure we were in the room by 10 when the front desk closed in case the key didn’t work. The restaurant on the premises is only open for dinner. Our last day we ventured across the street to the Denali Princess, which was a beautiful resort that was slightly more expensive. To say that our experience in the area would have been different if we’d stayed there would a huge understatement. The gorgeous, sprawling hotel complex is beautifully laid out with a choice of restaurants, and areas to relax and enjoy the outdoors right on the river. No one ever even cleaned our room or brought clean towels. But the beds are comfortable, the people who work there are all very nice, and the happy hour on the deck was relaxing. And we were very fortunate to enjoy wonderful weather.

Great place to stay. We were there for 3 nights and was convenient location to get to all the places we needed to. Two beds in each of the cabins we rented. Full kitchen. Grill outside. Deck on cabin with chairs and picnic table. Nice and quiet and the owners were amazing!
