Relaxing Place Away from the City
Reviewed By cavenidoKandaya is a place to unwind away from the city. It has a very nice white sand beach. Its shoreline is long wherein you can walk liesurely. If one needs to relax, this is definitely one of the place where you can. It is quiet and peaceful. When it comes to the staff, all are friendly an helpful. My family and I definitely felt relaxed, and recharged after stressful weeks. PS: The sunrise and sunset is a plus.

Beautiful beach simplicity
Reviewed By 211hjmAmazing hospitality from nana rose. Simple accommodation on the beach but lovely food, amazing host, comfy clean but simple rooms and excellent value for money. Highly recommend for a cheap but wonderful stay before heading to malapascua.

DISASTER AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Reviewed By ECB2013We booked here last minute and clearly they had hiked their prices. I can see online rooms are currently selling for PHP 560 for two nights' time on Agoda. We paid 1,700 per night for three nights. Now we have stayed in a variety of fairly basic places across the Philippines over the last 3 weeks, paying on average 1,300 a night so this was at the upper end and was the worst by miles. The property was hard to find through the rabbit warren of streets away from the beach where you are dropped off, we passed only one sign. This was our first concern given all the other signs you see. When we eventually arrived the staff were most unfriendly and clearly didn't have the room ready. Not even the offer of a glass of water whilst we waited. When they eventually took us to our room in this run down property the overwhelming smell of spray air freshener was unbearable. The WC had insects in it, the loo seat was broken. The sink tap corroded and unsightly. The bed looked like it had no mattress, and there was only one towel for the two of us. Not at all welcoming especially after a very long journey. Now we see in the reviews that they have bed bugs. This does not surprise me. We raised our concerns with the staff, they eventually showed us the room next-door. It was identical. Clearly thry have not had guests for a while. Eventually we got the staff to call manager Wendy who refused to refund us as we had already paid. We had to take up the matter with Agoda via long distance phone call to call centre in the US. They eventually took our side and refunded us meanwhile we had to find somewhere else to stay at zero notice. Please do us a favour and do not book here; it needs a complete overhaul or charger lower prices to people who are prepared to put up with this very low standard of living.

One of the best restaurants in Malapascua that serves delicious and affordable foods. Filipino Dishes cooked at its best. We also provide rooms for you to stay and diving center to let you enjoy and relax while on the island.
Great place to stay for a diver visiting Malapascua
Reviewed By Happybubbles333I stayed at this resort on Malapascua for four nights in early part of March 2020. It was a five minute walk from the area where ferries arrive from/depart to Maya Port on Cebu. My standard double room was clean and perfectly comfortable with air conditioning that worked fine. I ate nearly all my meals at the restaurant/bar, which served a good range of excellent food, both Filipino and European/Western. The staff were very friendly and attentive, and I really enjoyed my stay here, meeting many other travellers and divers from several European and Asian countries, the US, and Australia. I also went on nine dives with the attached dive shop, who also provided an excellent service and some great dives (see my separate review on the Mabuhay Thresher Dive Centre page). I can thoroughly recommend and would hope to stay here again one day.

Reviewed By TAGT2010Beautiful place. The sand and water are perfect. There are beach chairs everywhere. The whole area is kept clean for the customers' enjoyment. The food is good, the servers are friendly and the place is soooo peacefully quiet. We like it. We enjoyed our stay. And the weather was just perfect. The drive to Daanbantayan was nice too.

Barangay Tapilon is located at the northern part of Daanbantayan, Cebu where you can see the Visayan Sea and the neighboring islands that makes the location perfect for those who love the warm sun while swimming at the clean blue sea. The town is full of friendly people and as expected of the Filipino culture, our place is not one lacking in hospitality and happiness either.
