Crans-Montana actually comprises two ski resorts, Crans-sur-Sierre and Montana-Vermala, although for all intents and purposes, they function as one. Popular with affluent Italians, the skiing is good (best for beginners and intermediates), but the shopping, eating and drinking are even better. The resort claims to be on the sunniest plateau in the Alps, and indeed the snow is often lacking, but the views over the RhÂne are superb. Every September, the resort hosts the European Masters golf tournament.

Nestled within the mountain forests of Switzerland, overlooking the great lakes and the Valais Alps, LeCrans is surrounded by spectacular scenery – an elegant hideaway where the landscape takes centre stage. This boutique chalet-style hotel offers guests refined comfort, a world-class wellness program, and Michelin-starred cuisine – all in the same locale. With a prime location at the top of a ski resort, just seconds away from the slopes, and featuring broad terraces that sweep around the outside of the building – perfect for summer dining, or après-ski refreshments, LeCrans is permeated with the unmistakable ambience of relaxed sophistication and authenticity.
We were lucky enough to return to Le Crans in 2022 after our first visit a few years ago. This hotel is simply first class. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff, we were picked up from Montana gare and our driver happily took us to a ski hire shop so we didn’t need to take two trips. They also take the ski’s back for you at the end of your stay. This is just one of many examples of how your stay is made to be as relaxing and effortless as you wish. We stayed in a junior suite which really did have the wow factor! We ate one night at the restaurant where the food is out of this world. If we could afford to we’d come back to Le Crans every year, it’s a truly special place. A huge thank you to all the team, an experience we’ll never forget!

We stayed one night at fantastic suite apartment. The suites feel brand new and every detail is very high quality. There is even integrated powerful humidifier which can be great help during dry winter months. Staff were extremely polite, helpful, professional and cheerful. The facilities and the staff makes this place feel very special and I am not surprised why this resort gets so superb reviews. If you want to visit Switzerland I highly recommend this resort.

The well-known Hotel Central has been renovated during spring 2021, to offer extra comfort to its guests. An ideal situation in the centre of the social and cultural life of Crans-Montana, within immediate proximity of all sport facilities, Summer and Winter inclusive. All rooms feature shower-room, flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi is available in the entire Hotel Central.
Our group of nine golfers stayed here whilst we went to play golf at Crans San Sierre in September 2019 and we were happy with the accommodation. Our rooms were clean and spacious enough, the welcome was friendly and the continental breakfast was simple but effective enough. Parking was an issue as they don't have any on site but there was an underground one just across the road. If you are staying in Crans Montana, this is a perfect place to choose. When I return to the area, I would not hesitate to stay here again

With a pure design and an outstanding situation, Chetzeron is an exceptional boutique hotel. Nestled at an altitude of 2112 metres and facing the highest peaks in the Alps, it offers 16 rooms with mountain view, a heated rooftop pool and sauna, 4 panoramic terraces, a magnificent lobby & bar, a restaurant and a meeting room. The Restaurant offers an alpine cuisine and a carefully selected wine list. All dishes are homemade with local and seasonal products. In winter, you can experience the real 'ski in ski out' as Chetzeron is located on the ski slopes. In summer, many activities are available from the hotel: hiking, e-bike, mountain biking, picnics in nature, paragliding, etc.
Spent a few days with my family at Chetzeron in February. The hotel is small (16 very nicely appointed rooms) and in a great location on the slopes. You ski in and out (the hotel takes care of taking your luggage from Crans Montana). The view from the rooms is marvelous. Despite great effort with decoration and a working fireplace, the lobby and common areas were, in my view, is a bit sterile and “cold”. Nice to have board games and a pool at the disposal of the guests, though. The tiny sauna and hammam can be made “private” for 20 minutes, which was great. The pool on the roof is very small, more of a large jacuzzi rather than a pool, nice but it has a flaw: the water is too cold! Everybody (with no exception) that I met in the pool agreed. You cannot really stay inside more than a short time before starting to freeze (maybe this is on purpose to avoid becoming overcrowded). Increase the temperature of the water 3 or 4 degrees, and you will make your guests happier. People at the reception as well as in charge of cleaning and transportation were all efficient and very nice. The only negative point was the restaurant (but I submitted a separate review for it so I will not repeat it here), but you can always go down to town (30 minutes transfer) for a decent meal and service.

The Crans Ambassador, Luxury Sport Resort, immerses you in the heart of the Swiss Alps. As soon as you step into the hotel, a 180° view of Europe’s highest, most stunning peaks takes your breath away. The Crans Ambassador is a privileged haven of serenity in a cosy, timeless setting. Combining luxury, friendliness, vibrancy and performance; the hotel welcomes guests in search of wellness year round.
We stayed there for 3 nights over a February weekend (busy period for sure). Paid over 1000 CHF a night for a view-facing room. Over the only 3 nights that we were there, NOTHING went right: - we left our luggage to the valet upon arrival and they somehow lost it, it took more than 4 hours for them to finally get everything up to our room (their excuse was that since we had booked 3 rooms with the same name, they didn't know in which one to put the luggage, even though none of the other guests from our party had arrived at this point) - you cannot adjust the temperature in your room as they use a central heating system, so depending on where your room is it's either too hot or too cold. Ours was too hot and the only (really eco-friendly) suggestion we got from the reception was "try and open the window. that's all that can be done" - the shower tap on the bathtub was broken, as well as multiple LED lights in our room - our bathtub was apparently unusable because we got a call from the reception mid-bath saying that there was a leak in the room below ours - we asked for it to be fixed to be able to use our bathroom fully, which they apparently didn't do and instead just moved us to another room, giving our partly non-functional room to other unlucky guests - they didn't mention anything about moving us to a different room, until the next morning at about 10:30AM, when we were about to go skiing, saying we absolutely had to move before 12 because they needed to clean to room to give it to someone else. We requested people to help us pack and move, who took another 30 or so minutes to arrive - in the new room that they had moved us to, the window was open when we arrived, which we initially thought was a nice attention because we had complained about the heat in our previous room, actually, it was only because the window was broken and did not close! we had to call the reception who sent a technician up to our room to fix it (I must say he did it quite quickly and then the problem was solved) - when trying to get our car back from the valet, had to wait about 15minutes, no clue what they were doing, in the end every time I needed it I would just get my key back and walk the 300m to my car myself because they were so slow Speaking with the rest of our family also staying at the hotel with us, all of them had at least an issue in their room (LED lights that would randomly light up during the night and wake you up, room phone that wasn't working, etc.) Good stuff (because thankfully some of it was good): - staff was nice, although not as efficient as we were expecting - spa is nice - the japanese-peruvian fusion restaurant is good - the hotel is close to one of the ski lifts (5mins walk) and they have a ski rental shop in the hotel which is very practical I understand it was a busy period and the staff had their hands full, but this is simply NOT at the level of a 5 star hotel, and not on par with the rate of the rooms. Finding so many issues in so many different rooms, and nobody noticing/fixing them before the guests arrive is simply unacceptable at this level of stars/price. The way the staff handled this was also not on the level of such a high end hotel. They were very slow with everything, not very helpful and seemed completely overwhelmed. The worst part is that after all the issues we had, they did not grant us any commercial gesture: it could've been anything really, obviously a discount would've been welcome but even offering us dinner one night, a bottle of wine, a voucher for anything, spa day or such for an upcoming weekend, but NOTHING. They even made us pay our 60 CHF room service bill. Cheap all the way. Funny story, we had stayed there already when they had just renovated and reopened (maybe 5-6 years ago), and back then we had already had a not-so-good experience, but we had attributed that to the fact that they had just opened and maybe were not super on point yet. I was disappointed to realize that the hotel had in fact gotten worse. Bottom line, avoid this hotel at all costs. I have known Crans-Montana my whole life and stayed in other 5-star hotels there that are much nicer, like the Guarda Golf for example.

The location is great, just a few minutes from both the funicular (when arriving) and from the lift (when heading for the ski slopes). The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. Overall we had an amazing stay, there's nothing to complain about.

We enjoyed a last minute stay here as a family and thought that the staff were charming and helpful, and the hotel was very clean, rooms spacious! Amazing deal with the tourist card the hotel gives you means that you save a fortune on lift Passes etc and can really explore the area, which we loved. A very busy mountain town, with lots to do as a family and lots of nice bars and restaurants. We loved going on the pédalo on the lake! My only concern currently is that, walking around the town and hotel, you would not have had a clue that covid exists - no masks in view (apart from on the ski lifts where this is obligatory ) and I was amazed the hotel restaurant still had free-serve salad bar and breakfast buffet. Other hotels have installed-Plexiglass glass dividers in dining areas, and have stopped people movement and buffets ... I would have felt more comfortable with these measures in place.

We stayed in a winter weekend to ski in Crans Montana. The hotel is very well located (near the center and 3 minutes hotel bus to the pistes), the rooms are wonderful with a magnificent view to the valley. The service is absolute the best. From the staff that takes us to the ski lifts, the staff at the reception, the waiters at the bar, at the restaurant and at the indoor pool makes you really enjoy the stay and treat you like you are the best client untie hotel. Many thanks and will definitely come back.
