Amazing!

Reviewed By Skogsmulle2013

We spent two days with half board at Le Mas and found the place just amazing. The room was large with a small "living room" upstairs, a good large bed, a nice bathroom and a separate WC (which turned out to be rather cold...). The dinners we had were great, five courses (mise en bouche, starter, main course, mise en desert and desert) with perfectly accompanying wines. Denis for sure is a good cook and Sylvie a ditto waiter!

Lovely B&B!

Reviewed By J6569GBjills

We came to Cotignac for a friend's wedding and completely fell in love with Cotignac and this B&B. We were immediately taken by the views and the warm welcome from the owners. It was calm and cozy. Just what we needed to relax and enjoy all that Cotignac has to offer. The breakfasts offered were FANTASTIC. We were given our own carafes of coffee and orange juice and there was a lovely spread of granola, fresh and dried fruit and nuts, yogurt, cereals, breads, jams, and fresh eggs made to order. And even fresh crepes! We never left hungry. The location is great - it's just a few mins outside of town, with another cute town a few minutes away. Highly recommend! Such a lovely experience.

A lovely stay in the countryside of the Province

Reviewed By Chris S

La Radassiere is a nice and small B&B, about 20 minutes walk from Cotignac, one of the very authentic and lovely towns in the Provence. The B&B offers 4 rooms in a separate building while breakfast is served on the terrace of the house (or inside, subject to the weather) where the owners live. The breakfast is a simple continental breakfast. The rooms are pleasantly large and also the bathroom is spacious. Both are clean and cosy. Each room has a small terrace, while there is also a pleasant shaded terrace from common use with a nice view over the green rolling hills and vineyards. Each room has free wi-fi and TV with French channels. One can walk to the town of Cotignac ( 20 minutes), but be careful as the road is small and there are no sidewalks. Cotignac is a lovely small medieval town with squares and courts, shaded by large plane trees and plenty of cafe's and restaurants and a weekly market. The town is also famous for the tufcliff in the background with its troglodyte houses, carved into the cliff.

Located in the heart of a much preserved landscape, surrounded by vines and olive trees, a magnificent 19th century bastide offers 5 sizable and luminous rooms. Lovingly looked after and decorated, these rooms are named after some famous local grape varietals (Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Rolle, Sémillon). From vintage provençal-style furniture, raw materials matching to the perfection the delicate bleached and pastel shades, every detail distills a low-key and charming atmosphere that makes you feel at home. In order to make this break longer and give back time to time, our guests will also enjoy the well-being facilities : a sauna, a jacuzzi, an outdoor swimming pool…. the ideal setting to relax in a serene atmosphere. WOW, WOW & WOW - Chateau Nestuby

Reviewed By Kimm C

WOW, WOW & WOW, we stayed at Chateau Nestuby in August as a large family group (12 of us), we had the most amazing stay. The house was incredibly spacious and easily consumer our numbers with lots and lots of space to spare! The bedrooms and bathrooms were fabulous, with way too many jacuzzis!! The two swimming pools, one natural complete with fish and frogs which the grandchildren just adored and one spring fed were well used in the heat and great to sit back and relax around with plenty of sun loungers. The cooking facilities were good with a fabulous cooker in the kitchen and more fridges than you would ever need. The views were wonderful, sitting in the middle of a vineyard is always fun and warm evenings were spent eating outside watching the shooting stars while the grandchildren caught frogs and we watched the bats. The mid-wife frog which started at 9.20pm every night was amazing! Brilliantly situated for Cotignac, 2-3 minutes drive away much time was spent there - one of the most beautiful large villages/small towns in France with its 14 fountains, caves and lots of restaurants. We had a really interesting tour of the vineyard given by our hosts, by which time we had consumed rather a lot of the fabulous Chateau Nestuby Cotes de Provence (which they make there) which was excellent. Our hosts were so accommodating and helped with a complicated check-out process for some of us due to return flight times from Marseille. WE LOVED IT!!!! August 2019

Perfect stay in the French countryside!

Reviewed By Dinshaw M

We stayed at the property in September for five nights and we're delighted that we did. Yannick and Jean Claude are unobtrusive and wonderful hosts and did all they could to make us comfortable. The access to the property is very easy as it's just off the D50 and has ample parking for three cars. There is a small but lovely pool at the back of the property set amongst olive trees and herb bushes. Our room on the first floor was simply but elegantly decorated with excellent cupboard space and good hangers and the walk-in shower was superb, with a hand held shower plus a rainfall head. Yannick laid out a well presented breakfast with fresh bread, fruits, cheese, jams and yogurts. The property is 1.5km from Cotignac, which has plenty of good bars and restaurants. If we returned to this area we would definitely stay here again.

The owner having a diner party with a Rock Band smoking inside.

Reviewed By GaelT

Unfortunately we didn't have a pleasant experience simply because the owner received some guests (Rock Band) who took a dinner downstairs. The problem was that they were all smoking heavily, the door of the kitchen / dining room was left wide open, thus it did not take long for the smoke and this awful smell to reach the first floor. As the door to the toilet in the corridor was also left open, it did stink there as well. Awful experience and a clear breach of the guide lines that BnB owners need to follow. Each time we needed to reach the bathroom, which also was outside the room, was a nightmare.

La Maison Du Bonheur

A charming B&B in the centre of an equally charming town!

Reviewed By DenMarkB

This B&B is only a couple of hundred metres away from the centre of Cotignac. It had been nicely turned into a B&B (retaining most original features) by its owners, a very helpful couple, who provided us with some useful tips, in particular on the best way to get to the Gorges du Verdon. They were also friendly with our 3 yo despite not always being very quiet! The property is kept immaculately clean and Pascal prepares a breakfast which is to die for (meat cuts, local cheeses, croissants, baguettes, eggs). Parking is not a big issue and despite travelling during the high season, the room rate was fantastic! Would definitely recommend this place!

Ethical luxury in the heart of Provence

Wow - what a beautiful place. Lou Calen is simply put a gem of a hotel in a gem of a village, in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We had the pleasure of staying here a couple of nights in October. The staff were superb, the setting amazing, the food - well just out of this world, and the weather was glorious. The hotel is very new - built this year - with more to come. The interiors of the rooms are beautifully desinged, likewise the garden, and the swimming pool is lovely in a total sun trap. The Lou Calen team are as friendly, welcoming and helpful as you could possibly wish for - nothing is too much trouble and they seem to go out of there way to ensure you have a wonderful say. The hotel seems to operate with environmental issues to the fore using local produce and even going as far as supporting an eductional charity for third world children. Thanks to all at Lou Calen for a wonderful stay and good luck with the future plans.
