I stayed at Steenberg for 3 nights in May and did not want to leave! This hotel is utterly beautiful, thoughtfully designed (the interiors by the hotel manager I hear), and the service is faultless. This is how a 5-star boutique hotel should be - personalised, engaging, and homely. The premium room was tastefully decorated and the space enormous. Service from the moment I arrived until the moment I left was incredible, not too pushy, but thoughtful and in tune with my needs as a guest. The team proactively made my stay more enjoyable, planning ahead dining reservations, wine tasting bookings, and in-room treats. I felt like they had gotten to know me and my style over the course of the 3 days and I felt very special because of it. The farm is stunning, the Sauvy B is one of the best in the Western Cape, and the facilities are outstanding. No gym, no problem - the hotel will arrange for a day pass at the Virgin Active in Steenberg and shuttle you there and back privately! Now that's service! I will 100% be back when I'm next in Cape Town. Thank you, Catherine and team!!

I was so privileged to go to the new High Tea at The Greenhouse at The Cellars Hohenhort Hotel on Friday. From a beautiful welcome (starting at the boom gate) we were spoiled with 4 delicious courses of the tastiest, most delicious delicacies. Not the normal run of the mill.... A lovely glass of MCC to start with followed by a choice of delicious teas....all new, all flavour filled and all totally exceptional. The staff were knowledgeable and made us feel like celebrities! What an experience!!!! And we'll worth it for under R400!! The Vegans in our group were catered for at the drop of a hat, which was REALLY impressive as the Chef was not warned. Well done to this wonderful new gem in our midst!!

At Nova Constantia we pride ourselves on not just offering a fine boutique hotel in the heart of the historical Constantia Valley but rather a private residence that exceeds the expectations of even the most seasoned traveller. The hotel is situated in a quiet yet accessible leafy suburb of Cape Town, known as the Constantia Valley, which evolved from the very first wine-producing farms established in the Cape, as early as 1685. This idyllic location provides the perfect setting to relax and rejuvenate with peace and privacy as the ideal. Nova Constantia is a generously well designed space of architectural grandeur. Its African Chic contemporary style reflects the best of what South Africa has to offer. The large private manicured gardens allow you to benefit from the alfresco lifestyle of the Cape and the design theme expands outdoors into several secluded tranquillity areas allowing guests to relax in privacy cocooned in sheer luxury.

The Paradiso Guesthouse bed and breakfast and self-catering cottage offer guests a warm welcome and personal service. Set in a tranquil tree-lined garden the Guesthouse has panoramic views of the Constantiaberg Mountains, Constantia Valley and its wine farms. Leonard and Melody, your hosts, can assist in planning day trips to nearby wine estates, beaches and places of interest.
This was a lovely return visit after three years. We were made so welcome by Melody and Kim, and were then looked after really well for the rest of our six night stay. Our room was all ready for us when we arrived at 10am after an overnight flight from London so we were able to shower and change soon after arrival. Our room was large and very comfortable with a large firm bed, two easy chairs, two big wardrobes with lots of hangers, a good sized fridge and TV. The ceiling fan provided all necessary cooling. There was a tray for tea and coffee. The bathroom was huge and very well appointed with a large corner bath, separate shower cubicle, bidet, vanity unit and WC. Both the bathroom and bedroom were well lit. The pool was sparklingly clean and very refreshing on hot days. The gardens were beautiful and very well maintained There was secure parking within the electrically operated gates. The whole site is very secure. The breakfasts were excellent with a choice of mueslis, fruit, pastries and bread, fruit juice, and large cooked breakfasts; these were enough to keep us going until dinner! The location is perfect for the Constantia wineries as well as excursions down the Cape peninsula or into Cape Town. It is in a very quiet and peaceful area. We can't wait to return!
