Reviewed By CanisHanCY ( 18.12.14 ) I and my wife stayed 1 night in this hotel. The hotel located beside river and quiet area, so that was good to us. There had big parking area, and the service was no problem. Though the buildings was a little old, but overall there was no problem. Good to us to stay 1 night.

Comfortable & Modern Guesthouse
Reviewed By Onn11We stayed at this guesthouse for 3 nights in November 2018. It is a family run business with a family feel to it, even though it is a 7 storey building in which the guesthouse occupies several floors. We lived on the 3rd floor (twin room). Facilities are modern, with floor heating available, washing machine in the room and password access. There is enough space for a big luggage case to be placed on the floor. Guests can use the dryer for clothes which is on the second floor. The main reception, dining and kitchen area is on the second floor. The host is a young Korean lady and her parents. Although there was some language barrier as her parents have limited knowledge of English, they were very hospitable and helped in whatever way possible. Guests are allowed to use the kitchen area for cooking, so there were a few meals where we bought our own fresh food from a supermarket 100m down and cooked our own meals. Recommended to reach the guesthouse by taxi for the first time you are there, as it is difficult to find the location by bus especially if you do not know Korean. The price for the taxi from Namchuncheon to the hotel is about 3700 won. Suggest to write the address in Korean and pass to the taxi driver. The hotel is situated along a main road. There are buses to and from Namchuncheon station (bus 11 and 150) although the frequency is about 40min and 1 hour respectively. But from this guesthouse, there are many buses at the bus stop opposite the guesthouse to access tourist attractions such as Soyang Dam, Soyang Lake, Gugok falls. There are many buses as well (opposite the guesthouse) to take to get to the main Chuncheon Myeongdong area (around 4 bus stops only). Overall, highly recommend to stay at this guesthouse if you are planning to visit various tourist attractions in and around Chuncheon.

Reviewed By E5012NDbernardcIt was a business trip and I stayed for 5 nights. The staff were all very nice and tried really hard to help. Extremely polite and respectful. The room was slightly cramped, with twin singles. Might have preferred one less bed, to give more room for a solo guest. No desk, so could only sit on bed, but not a big issue. Ensuite was very cramped and nowhere to put own toiletries bag, but everything worked OK, with good shower. WiFi worked well. Breakfast was good, mix of buffet style or ordered, on alternating days. Had 2 evening meals: they seem to focus on pasta dishes, which were fine. Very quiet location, bit out from town centre. Would stay again. Thanks to the staff for excellent service.

Beautiful mountains surrounding the hotel. - Front desk staff was nice and helpful when I asked for help. -Outside of the hotel looks nice. - The cafe in the lobby had good pastries we ate for breakfast and the price was comparable to any other Korean bakery. Cons: - The inside of the hotel needs an update. - The lanolium floor in our bedroom was old and curling up on the side of the walls. -We were there May 29-30 and it was a bit warm so we tried to turn the AC but it seems the hotel might control it and it wouldn't come on. However, tt wasn't unbearable as there was a stand fan that we used in the room. - There was no shower curtain, so when you shower in the old tub, the water goes everywhere and it's slippery. Although they do have bathroom slippers, we don't really like to wear slippers that everyone else has their feet in. - The door was so old and there was a dent at the bottom that I could see the outside. - There is a sensor for the light by the door next to the bathroom so whenever you walk by it at night, it comes on and for light sleepers could wake them up. - We paid $85 with tax on agoda. com. This was listed as a 4 star hotel. I would say it's more like a motel on the inside. I don't think it's worth paying more than $50 here. - They had a breakfast buffet for W28,000 for adults. We didn't eat there as I was already not impressed with the hotel.

It’s ok but basic
Reviewed By LondonSaint82Stayed at the Heyy for the Chuncheon marathon weekend. The guys on reception were really friendly and check in was easy. The room was very basic, for example the room had a kettle but no tea/coffee and no wardrobe or safe. The hotel is really for Korean speakers, e.g. no English tv channels. But, the room was clean and did the job in terms of being relatively near the town.

Reviewed By bej50春川市役所・江原道庁から近いホテル。明洞・タッカルビ通りエリアから徒歩5分ほどでした。ホテル裏手は地元のビジネスマンがあつまる飲食店が多くあり、また旅行客向けに朝早くから開けている食堂も多くありました。 スタンダードとデラックスが基本で、部屋の大きさに違いがあり、デラックスだとだいぶ広かったです。備え付けのコンピュータもデラックスのみ。コンビニは裏口から出てすぐの他、周囲に多数あって便利。 モーテル兼用ではなく旅行者用のホテルなので、その点でも安心でした。ホテル隣にはレトロな銭湯があり、朝5時から使えます。

Reviewed By Vonnie AThe ahjussi owner is really kind and helpful, he spoke english and very friendly. It's not in the core of city but just 10 mins from Myeongdong. Clean room, overall everything is nice. Recommended! WiFi is great too, also a PC and flat clear tv.

Reviewed By ggm96822No one spoke much English, so we were unable to confirm the story that the former temple behind the hotel is one of the sites where the Japanese drove in iron spikes to destroy the power meridians of Korea. The impressive welcome arch at the top of the stairs perhaps helps to cancel any effect the disrupted meridians might have on guests. The hotel was built in 1962 and certainly reflects the characteristics of a 60s hotel, with very few power outlets and a can of bug spray on the dresser. The view is great, the breakfast mediocre.

Great rooms but frosty staff

However, there are no sachets of washing powder provided and one ends up having to buy a large bottle of washing powder that would last a family more than a week from the hotel shop! A real swiz! Staff on the desk need to learn that to smile and exchange a hello and a goodbye costs nothing.They all seem unhappy!
