The Schlosshotel as a part of the Wasserschloss Klaffenbach in Chemnitz is the first port of call for business, pampering and golf as well as weddings and special events. Our hotel is an oasis of well being and calmness, art and culture right in the middle of Chemnitz and the Ore Mountains. Chemnitz itself is well known as a city for art and modernity, just a few minutes away. The hotel offers the very best from that urban area. You will get impressed by the unique ambiance of our Gewölberestaurant and wine cellar as well as the hearty restaurant Torwache. The café and the terrace of the restaurant complete the gastronomic offer. Enjoy living in our historical masonry right in the middle of Klaffenbach.
Very nicely located in Chemnitz . Only stayed 1 night but wished I could have stayed longer. The rooms was lovely, with very nice bedding and nicely laid out. Bathrooms very clean with a towel warmer which was a nice touch. Hotel has an excellent restaurant which is worth a visit. Staff were very helpful and made sure we had a good stay. Area around the hotel was very nice and a great place to talk a wander.

In German terms a larger size business hotel. Breakfast range OK but the breakfast room is rather dark and so its a bit of a depressing start in the day. Restaurant Menu is a giod mix and nice ideas for specials. The standard rooms might have looked like this before the German wall was removed... they are on the lower floors. However when you take the better level they are real good in size, nice TV and a big table for working with a nice views of the city. Negative: The coin system to exit the car park is very uncomfortable as you need to collect your coin every day again which results daily in waiting time.

The Biendo hotel is in the perfect location. Right in the center of the main city center. Located above many restaurants, grocery store, pharmacy and shopping. My parents and I walked everywhere. The breakfast buffet is a typical euro breakfast, great to start the day. My only negative is that the bathroom is small, when you take a shower the whole thing gets wet. But that’s really the only problem. Would 100% recommend !

Not a bad experience. Room was very good but location, although central, was still a reasonable walk into town. Some unexpected additional charge upon checkout (business package, not sure what this gave) Staff friendly enough, restaurant food not great and pricey

Quality - Price relation of this hotel is good. The price level is fair for the quality you get. The rooms are clean, confortable and have all you need. Parking for car is spacious, and free of cost. Hotel location excellent. on outskirts city I save 10 minutes every morning to go out from Chemnitz, for other alternatives like Opera or Alexanders (hotels are better, but more inside city and more expensive). Staff is friendly. I will return for several times, if price keeps same level. Recommend for who is at work, and want to sleep in confortable hotel.

Room: This is a budget hotel, so the rooms are a bit small, but there are plenty of creative use of space here and the room still has a desk and chair. If you've ever been to a Super 8 Motel in the USA, this place feels like a noticeable upgrade. The mattress was comfortable but the pillows caused some neck pain, would prefer firmer pillow options. There isn't a coffee machine in the room (forcing you to buy it from downstairs) but of course, Super 8 is a budget brand. Towels and soaps are included. Noise was quiet, our room faced the backside of the building. Wifi: I didn't run a test, but expect around 15-20mbps (maybe more) Zoom calls and streaming Netflix were totally fine. Service: Melanie (front desk person with glasses) was amazing, and provided a level of service I expect at an Iberostar resort or a Hilton hotel, honestly. Her English was fluent and was willing to use Google Translate to bridge some language barriers with some of the friendly Ukrainian guests. She had a kind attitude and was a delight to interact with if you had questions. For management, please promote her to a supervisor or management role. If all the other employees were like her, my review would be 5 stars. The cleaning staff were friendly enough, but knocked on our door at 8:50AM on a sunday morning to ask us whether we wanted cleaning or not which was a bit early for my taste as I was asleep. Please note, the front desk people in the night shift are not as fluent in English, so be prepared for some Google Translate and hand gestures. There was one particular gentleman (with short brown hair) that gave me and my partner some weird vibes. Asked very in-depth questions about our relationship instead of answering some questions we had about the hotel. Nothing happened, but just a very uncomfortable feeling. Location: This was very central to Chemintz Zentrum, also about 15 minutes to the Chemnitz Hbf by foot. Lots of food options around, honestly a very good location. Food: Breakfast wasn't too bad actualy for 12 euros. Automatic Expresso/Coffee machine, selection of juices, bread rolls + assortment of spreads, scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, waffle/pancakes, and some cold meats. While there are cheaper options at some bakeries, this breakfast is worth it. NOTE: Because of construction, the parking garage is VERY tricky to get into. Basically, go in the bus/tram lane towards Biendo Hotel opposite of Stadthallen Park (if you're not from Germany, this is sketchy but it's legit). After 250m, you'll then see Vapianos on the left, turn into that area, there's a small road that hugs the building opposite of Vapianos. Then turn left into the Eins Energie building. Parking garage is on the right.

Booked for a group of 14 en-route to the Czech TT as a stopover, just inside the ring road easy to find and no traffic hold ups. Great staff who explained everything in English for us, decent bar and very good food. Rooms were a good size and the whole place comfortable. Will use it again.

I only stayed for a couple of nights without having breakfast. So if it´s only concerning the sleeping, I have to say it pays its porpoise. Bathroom is clean and the bed is quite alright. Parking is available for free until 8 AM; You can get there by either the TRAM or the 31 Bus as well. Right next to it there is a McDonalds.... I would book again if needed to....

I visited Chemnitz due to an outdoor performance by the German band Revolverheld in late August. I booked Hotel and der Oper because it was across the street from the venue -- Theaterplatz -- and because it had good reviews on TA. I was very happy with my stay. I reserved a single room. The room itself was small but spotless. Furnishings, mattress, bedding, and bathroom were all fine. The small package of gummy Schlaf Schäfchen (sleep sheep) on the pillow in my room was a nice whimsical German touch. The view from my top-story room? Stunning. It alone was worth the price of the room and looked directly onto Theaterplatz. There were large windows that opened completely, offering an even better view and great appreciation of sound. I was able to watch (and hear) Revolverheld's sound check. How cool is that? I could have watched the concert from my room if I wanted to do so. Hotel staff were great. The breakfast buffet had good variety. Location is excellent. There are many restaurants and much to see within walking distance of the hotel. The train station is also a short walk from the hotel. I would like to come back and explore Chemnitz some more some day; I will almost certainly stay at Hotel an der Oper when I do that.
