Located on one of the highest points in the heart of the magic Chantilly forest, just 35 minutes from Paris and only 15 minutes from Charles de Gaulle airport, the 18th century Tiara Château Hotel Mont Royal, is a resort inspired by the natural splendour of the region, taking us on a journey through centuries of history
Booked a 2 night stay here for my father and myself for a bit of relaxation on the way home after a 10 day motorbike trip through Spain and France. It's not cheap at all, and compared to similar 5-star spa hotels in the UK probably a little expensive for what it is. Rooms are great and the terrace / restaurants are really nice. Food was ok, but some dishes are very much an acquired taste. Breakfast is not great - the "hot" food on offer (Chicken sausages, bacon and scrambled eggs) are kept under a light bulb and are luke-warm at best. Would keep to the bread and jams to be honest. Biggest and only real complaint was the air-conditioning in the room. The lowest possible setting is 24 degrees - which considering we spent probably £3,500.00 for two nights stay - including food and drink, is not good and not cool enough when the sun's out. The Spa is nice and really clean - although the "hot tub" is cold and the same temp as the pool. Finally, although it was probably a one-off for us during our stay, my deluxe room looked out over the front of the property and the main entrance, and there was a coach load of people that arrived for a wedding the next day at nearly 2am and they were so loud outside the front of the building it was a joke and kept me up until gone 3am. They should have been asked by the staff to respect the other guests and keep quiet !!!

Reminiscent of an 18th-century authentic hamlet, the Hyatt Regency Chantilly is set amongst verdant trees and the Nonette river that runs through the hotel grounds. Enjoy a retreat that feels a world away, while being conveniently located just 20 minutes from the Charles De Gaulle International airport and 45 minutes away from Paris. In the opulent historic town of Chantilly, you will be near many attractions, including the Chateau de Chantilly and its prestigious horse racecourses. In light of COVID-19 , the restaurant and bar have temporarily ceased normal operations and are not currently accepting reservations until further notice.
I had a wonderful stay here, recommended the hotel to friends, and was planning to return again in August. I rated the hotel very highly on the survey that Hyatt emailed me after my stay. I was SHOCKED then when the hotel charged my credit card for €67 three weeks after my stay. Why? There was no explanation. I did not damage the room in any way. I have now had to cancel my credit card, and will dispute the charge with my credit card issuer. I have been very inconvenienced by this as I am travelling and away from home at present. I have NEVER before had a Hyatt hotel charge me after my stay for a mystery charge. I have been Googling the hotel today and understand it is in financial difficulties and has defaulted on loans. I believe the hotel is now fraudulently charging guests for extra charges, hoping no one notices. I will report this matter to Hyatt and in the meantime, have alerted the friends I foolishly recommended this property to not to stay here. Very disappointing. It’s a nice hotel - but dishonest.

Only 25 minutes from Charles de Gaulle airport & 30 miles from Paris the hotel is located in exceptional surroundings, the Domaine de Chantilly. A stone’s throw from the Château de Chantilly, peaceful getaway richly steeped in French history. The Auberge du Jeu de Paume Chantilly, Relais & Châteaux, features 67 guestrooms and 25 suites offering a perfect alliance of luxury and refinement. Its gourmet Michelin-starred restaurant, La Table du Connétable, led by Chef Anthony Denon serves modern French gastronomy with a keen attachment to heritage while more relaxed dining is available in the Jardin d’Hiver. The Valmont Spa with its swimming pool and its colorful mosaic is truly enchanting and offers beauty treatments that include those inspired by the history of Chantilly. The Auberge du Jeu de Paume Chantilly is a perfect combination of the finest in traditional French hospitality and the region’s best selection of recreational activities.
Extremely disappointed overall by this Relais & Châteaux. I stayed in Auberge du Jeu de Paume back in 2012 and it was far better , really nice . Now it seems all has gone down. Staff over excited to do as best as they can but things do not go well. 1)at reservation when asked to book a table to the restaurant, the answer was super arrogant as no place in the gastro , but only in the lobby bistrot. Either at 7 or at 9…l can understand but in theory you must give priority to guests of hotel …this was not the case. 2)food, not really good and quite expensive. 3)rooms, with stained old moquettes, smelly beds. 4) robes and towels have Never been changed over a 3 night stay. Worst, as when I purposely left them on the floor , they were put back to be used as if all normal in a 2 star hotel… 5)nobody prepared the bed at evening, no carpets with slippers, no turning of beds… just nothing. 6)bed linens Never changed over 3 nights stay… 7)when came back on a Sunday evening at 23:45 h, I tried to get back in, rang the bell , knocked on every single door and window…called several times the hotel…nothing. After 15 minutes I decided to call la Gendarmerie who would send a car. While waiting for Gendarmerie, someone disgracefully showed-up…. Just as if it is normal to let guests 30 minutes outside…. 8) here comes the worst…the pre authorisation on my card was taken upon arrival for 1’450 euros, subsequently without my approval for 400 and then 200 totalising 2’045 euros. Once I checked out, as all normal hotels they cancel on the spot the pre authorisation as you pay your bill. …. But not with Auberge du Jeu de Paume… neither with Relais & Chateaux who Never responded neither to my complaints and requests, as they could not do it properly with their bank and it took my card issuer, Visa …16 days as they had to wait that writhing those 16 days the “merchant” could reclaim the amount as the cancellation of pre authorisation was not properly done.. I interchanged several ( tens…) of emails with staff, always w]very nice but the hotel system, management just doesn’t work ! Personally I consider this stay as a total disgrace, a lack of respect and an unforeseen example of how bad a property can go. It was a while I hadn’t been to a Relais & chateaux due to Covid, and in addition of being a former member of the 5C club….. if this is how Relais & Chateaux has its hotels , I will not consider them in the future ! ….by the way, not a single time the GM of Auberge du Jeu de Paume took 30 seconds to say: we are sorry !

Stayed here for 5 nights in a deluxe room with park view. This is a fabulous hotel which we will definitely be returning to. Our room exceeded our expectations, was large, beautifully decorated and came with a very large private balcony that gets sun from midday onwards. Its definately worth upgrading to a Deluxe room with park view. Hotel has a beautiful, large garden with various seating areas and all areas of the hotel are exceptional, particularly the restaurant and bar and lounge area. You can eat inside or outside in tge beautiful garden, which is a nice choice to have. All staff were super friendly and helpful and are a real credit to the hotel. Location of this hotel cannot be beaten with lots of good bars and restaurants in the immediate vicinity and a BP garage next door if you want to buy drinks or snacks. Its a 15min walk to race course and a 15min walk to the beautiful Chateux. Chantilly is a really beautiful town, a great choice for a city break. Taxi from CDG airpot cost us 55 Euros.

My husband and I stayed at the Chateau this weekend for 2 nights as we were going to the horse racing. It is a very beautiful building from the outside, inside it needs modernising. The decor is very dated, I don’t think the hotel has been decorated in at least 20 years - the carpet in the rooms was shag pile brown unhygienic looking carpet. However, it was the service that let it down the most. This hotel in my opinion is a 2-3 star not a 4 star. When we arrived / checked in no one offered to help us with the bags. The room was very small, hot and clinical decor - all white, no artwork, light above mirror in bathroom didn’t work so it was very dark. The wardrobes were the only full-length mirror which was in the hallway and also very dark so it was difficult to get ready, but as mentioned it was the carpet that was the worst. We arrived at the chateau around 2.30pm and wanted to have some food. We went down to the hotel bar area which said they served tapas food/ bar food 12pm-11pm on fri, Sat, Sunday. The bar area was empty. We asked one member of staff about ordering food and he said the kitchen was closed so we couldn’t order, we asked for a drink instead. Gave him our order, he went and found another member of staff who asked for our order, so we told him, we sat outside after he said he’d bring us our drinks. 15 mins passed no drinks arrived. We went to check on them, there was a different man behind the bar. When we explained we were waiting for drinks he was extremely rude, stating he had only just started his shift and would be over to take our order in 5 minutes even though we had already ordered with 2 other members of staff!! We never usually complain, but mentioned to the reception what had happened who spoke to the barman who then proceeded to shout at the receptionist and have an argument. We ended up walking into Gouvieux and had a lovely afternoon there. During the 2nd nights stay we were woken at around 3am by 2 people shouting in the corridor bashing on our door. Breakfast was very average. Not worth 20 euro pp. Would not recommend staying here as it was a very under whelming experience especially for over 600 euros for 2 nights– Gouvieux and Chantill were beautiful so would recommend staying somewhere else.

traveling to catch a plane at CDG - overnighted at le chateau. 4 adults (parents, adult son and GF). booked a room for 4. top of the circular staircase in the old building. no lift. the room opens out to the trees and lawn. stunning sunset. don't use google maps we were directed to the back property! the room can sleep 5. the bath towels are cozy, the robes of good weight, teas were great.did i say the sunset through the long drapes was amazing. at dinner there was some sort of business meeting with a table of about 12 having dinner. dinner was amazing. well paced, the staff made sure they understood how the food was to be presented. we're sharers so one dish has multiple eaters. the staff ensured adequate plates, forks, kept the water coming, poured the wine. very professional. the food was even better. two had steaks -the tenderest tastiest cooked to perfection pieces of meat . they raved. they ate tiny pieces to prolong the treat! i had cod with a flavor so delicious i wanted to lick the plate (bad manners, i know.). i also ordered the fois gras (also frowned on, i know) but so rich, so delicious we couldn't finish the two slices. the chef's choice dessert was a whimisical, fun and not going to spoil the wonder of it! i know you don't tip in france, crass americans who show appreciation by leaving a generous tip. we tried to cut down on the crass-ness by not leaving too large a tip, how else to show our appreciation for such a treat? we could have stood up and cheered!

Welcome to Mercure Chantilly, your 4-star resort that listens to your desires. Mercure Chantilly is ideal for getting away from it all for a weekend, a short stay, or an extended vacation; to work there, meet there, find each other differently. In the heart of the forest, near the Château and 40 minutes from Paris Mercure Chantilly is a 19th century style residence, revamped to offer you a contemporary classicism. Come and enjoy its lounge with library, the magnificent English-style Gin Bar, the panoramic restaurant La Véranda and its terrace, its room service menu, its pool bar, event and leisure spaces, with views of the golf course and the nature: swimming pools, sauna, hammam, cardio room, bicycles, table tennis, billiards, golf, golf simulator and games, playground, running (...).
2 day conference at the Mercure with about 40 other people. The hotel looks impressive as you drive up. Conference facilities were pretty good (large rooms, good open space for tea/coffee and a good supply of snacks!). Food was OK as long as you are omnivorous. Colleagues with specific dietary requirements did struggle a bit - vegetarian/vegans tended to end up with salad. God facilities...if you like golf :-) There is course straight out the back of the hotel (and a golf shop onsite) plus a driving range and putting green. The driving range was actually a great hot with the beginners (me included) as you get to whack the balls straight into a lake - vey satisfying splashes! Bedrooms are OK - decent size and clean. However, they do feel a bit "tired" and not very fresh.

The staff in the hotel are very friendly and helpful and the internet connection was actually very good and the hotel is only a 20 minute walk from the centre of town. That's essentially where the good things end. As others have mentioned the rooms are very small. No room to lay out a suitcase (and mine was only a small carry on) never mind anything else. What made it worse was how grubby the room was. Don't get me wrong, the bed was clean as were the bedclothes but the room had stained carpets, paint peeling from the skirting boards, a broken light with the insides exposed... The shower is so small that you have to lean on the glass to get a decent shower. The hallway to the rooms had loose panels in the floor and peeling carpet. For this experience I paid nearly 100 Euros per night!!!! Now that is more an issue with our travel booking system but this hotel is very very basic, very rundown and grubby and certainly not worth 100 Euros per night. If you are on a very tight budget and don't mind grubby accommodation then this would be fine but I doubt I will be staying again.

Room very clean and nice. Nice breakfast. Good bar. Not the cheapest hotel but it is worth the money you put in it. There is no seperate toilet in the room, it is in the bathroom, you should know this when you travel with 6 people.
