The Superior four-star Hotel is a romantic villa "fin de siecle" made up of 49 rooms, whose restoration is constantly in balance between the respect for the past and the influence of contemporary style.A unique and authentic place made of beautiful old trees and surrounded by green surfaces, that admires the spectacular Bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. On one hand, the common areas, characterized by an unmistakable style and a wonderful elegance, which completely respect the important classical style of the structure; on the other hand, the rooms, a continuous alternation of contemporary and classical Design.A Hotel, on its own, marked by a deeply individual style where the care for details, quality and hospitality represents the common denominator. The ceramics of Amalfi Coast hand-painted with an exclusive design, the antique furniture and tapestries characterize the lobby, the bar and the restaurant situated on the ground floor of the hotel; so quiet places, that make possible living in a private and protected dimension... Where each detail becomes a pleasure to be relished. The huge glass windows in Liberty Style divide the building from the secular park: an explosion of flowers and colours, a wide open-air sitting-room completely equipped with chaise-longue, easy-chairs and gazebos; an unforgettable atmosphere beyond every expectation.Around the park full of flowers, the outside Fitness Corner represents an opportunity to keep oneself fit in an uncontaminated and healthy environment; the wellness swimming-pool with geysers, the sun beds, the large solarium represent an occasion of certain and pleasant relax. From here just a step to get to the Pool Bar for an aperitif, and another for sipping a vintage wine at the outside restaurant Il Gazebo & Le Terrazze in the middle of the citrus grove. Here the Chef suggests a refined, precious Mediterranean and International cuisine, a perfect balance among tastes, smells and colours.Excellent services like a Mercedes shuttle bus to the city centre or the close beaches, the free parking, the opportunity to rent a yacht or book private excursions and much more... Will make your stay unforgettable.
We stayed at La Medusa Hotel & Boutique Spa for our Mini-Moon and we were blown away by the beautiful location, facilities and rooms. The staff were fantastic, there was nothing that was too much trouble. Francesco the Head of Operations was always happy to answer any questions and the reception staff always greeted us with a smile. The restaurant on site was delicious and Gennaro the Restaurant Manager and his team were very attentive and good at recommending dishes and wine. The spa is great if you're looking to relax, we booked the couples morning session and were really impressed by the massages and relaxing environment. Excellent location for visiting Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri and Sorrento. We'd return to La Medusa in a heartbeat.

DJ playing g loud loud music until midnight. We called reception at 11 pm to ask them to ask him to turn it down as we had a very early morning. They just said sorry and said we should go down and deal with ourselves. Not acceptable.

Very nice staff and very clean hotel - we will definitely stay there again, when we come back to Castellammare. It is a good starting place for trips to vesuv, ercolano/pompei or sorrento/amalfi-coast/capri. We felt welcomed and recommend a stay in this hotel. And of course we want to mention Umberto the waiter for the funny moments and good work of his team.

In the heart of Castellammare di Stabia, in a quiet and historic building, late 1800s, this is one of the most exclusive and central hotel of the city. Here you will find comfort and privacy surrounded by history and art. The Stabia Hotel is ideal for all types of trips, short or long, leisure or business. The completeness of the service, the budget accommodation and the comfortable rooms will pamper you and make for an unforgettable stay. Recently remodeled, it is ideally located and its upper floors provide a splendid view of the Gulf of Naples and Sorrento. The rooms are decorated in a fresh, Mediterranean style. Love this hotel for many reasons really nice old building modernised a good standard. Hotel staff are excellent reception cleaning and waiting staff all did the very best even though Sue had no English really tried to communicate with the customers. Breakfast was the best meal of the day plentiful to choose from hot and cold options tea coffee juices et cetera fresh pastries nothing to complain about whatsoever. Unfortunately I was travelling with Saga and it would appear that most of the hotel guests were couch parties are the BRITs French et cetera evening meal wasn’t good the other reviews are fair The food was uninspiring and imaginative and at times inedible. But don’t let that put you off the area surrounded by plentiful restaurants pasta seafood steaks absolutely anything and extremely reasonable. Please be aware this is not a tourist town with no concessions to tourists you will need your translation app on your phone sometimes to even order a meal or drinks. I would certainly go again stay at this hotel apart from the evening meal the town is typically Italian with good transport links to all the tourist sites you would want to see. This is done easily by a local train literally for a couple of euros return to Pompeii Sorrento Naples et cetera. An advantage to staying in this town Stabia is that prices are far more reasonable than in the neighbouring tourist resorts / towns. You can visit somewhere different easily every day just get to Sorrento on the train and the boat will take you to Capri positano amalfi etc

Located in a place of great charm and history, former residence of luxurious Roman villas, between Sorrento and Pompeii, is the perfect place to reach all the most famous tourist destinations such as Amalfi, Positano, Naples, Vesuvius, Capri, Ischia, Procida. Surrounded by lush greenery, on the slopes of the Monti Lattari and Faito, at close range from the sea and the nearby port of Castellammare
We have just stayed at this hotel for four nights On our arrival we were warmly greeted by Luigi, who made Us feel very welcome and gave us advise and recommendations about the surrounding area. Breakfast was fantastic and once again Luigi made sure we had everything we could possibly want. That evening we ate in the restaurant and Luigi happily spoke to the chef to arrange a special menu instead of eating from the set menu to suit my vegetarian diet. The meal was delicious and cooked to perfection, nothing was too much trouble. We went back to our room with full bellies and enjoyed the amazing view of Mount Vesuvius from our balcony. The next morning however, Luigi was not in the restaurant and the waiter who served us seemed to Struggle to understand us. We asked for musli & yoghurt, he said they don’t have musli and brought us cornflakes he said it was the ‘same thing’ . We explained that it was on the menu and we had eaten it the day before. After some time he came back with some musli but no bowl or spoons, when we asked him for these items he said We could use our tea cups as there were no bowls! Some guests on the next table explained to him what we were asking for but he told them that we can use the tea cups, which we did so as not to make a fuss!! My husband asked for orange juice which never arrived! I asked for some bread & cheese but he told me there was no bread but brought out three slices of cheese on a plate. Anything we asked for I felt was an inconvenience, it made me feel ignorant for not being able to converse in his language, embarrassed and humiliated all I wanted to do was get out Of the restaurant , which we did, We didn’t go to breakfast again for the rest of our stay and unfortunately did not see Luigi again to thank him for his fantastic service. The hotel and rooms were kept very clean. I felt the curtesy shuttle service into town, 9am and 7pm not a great time for guests, this had to be booked the day before. fifteen euros each way by taxi Was very expensive each day. A walk would take forty five minutes (which we tried once) so without a car were isolated. Once in the town it was a short train ride to sorrento (around 10 euros for both return journey) and to Pompei (eight euros return for two). The hotel had functions on each night which were very loud, it was the constant scraping of chairs on the tiled floors that were so loud late into the night we didn’t sleep well. Needless to say, I would not return to this hotel.

I really wanted to like this place more. But it is let down by a few things. Firstly, the good ... our room was a junior suite and was a good size with a new and clean bathroom and plenty of space. The whole property is very small, only 6 rooms, but very nicely decorated and very clean throughout. But things to know before you book ... the location is not great. It is on a main road, the parking is a few hundred metres down the road with no help to bring the bags to the hotel. There is a beach opposite, over the main road which is nice with pebbles instead of sand and a couple of restaurants to eat at. You need a car to stay here. It is close to Pompeii and Vesuvius but an hour from Sorrento and longer to Positano. None of the staff speak English and the main lady has a rather brusque manner which can be off putting. We asked for extra towels but were told that as they had been changed that morning, we weren't allowed more. We were told that for eco reasons they didn't want to provide more towels, but the breakfast is a bowl of small packaged condiments, which was completely un eco friendly. Breakfast was poor, especially if you are a diabetic or want to watch your weight as it comprises solely of sugared pastries. We ate dinner one night in the restaurant, which is in a very small brick converted furnace and it was one of the worst meals we've ever had. We were the only customers that night and were told that the sea bass that we wanted was finished, which we couldn't understand. As this was the only vegetarian option, we ended up with some whole fried fish which was inedible. We had no soap for the first three days and the shower gel was not replenished throughout our stay. It's worth mentioning that there is a dog on-site, which we had no problem with, but if you are not fond of dogs, be advised that there is a pit bull in reception. She was very sweet but we weren't advised beforehand or asked if we were allergic or anything like that. It's not a 'bad' hotel, it just feels as though it's not run very well and it could be better. I really think there are better options out there sadly.

The view from the room is just fabulous. You can see Mount Vesuvius and the Tyrrhenian Sea direct from the balcony of the room. The balcony is also well equipped with a table and some chairs. The breakfast was good. Not a lot of variety by it was good quality. The rooms could have been better. This hotel in general requires a lot of maintenance. The doors are squeaky, the paint is not so good, the shore cabin doors are totally broken. All these things are not a big issue but can be repaired and improve a general impression of the room if maintained. Also, you need a car to reach the hotel, there is no public transport to reach here. The road leading to the hotel is quite narrow for two way traffic, so you need to be very careful while driving.

The reception was extremely welcoming and attentive. The rooms are large, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Any small issue is immediately solved. Breakfast outside on the terrace, with breathtaking views over de bay and sea was a delight, as well as the little pool, big enough to refresh! The location is very central, good to explore Pompei and the Almafi coast

Nice hotel clean handy for getting to most places, nice swimming pool with a bar, a rooftop bar lovely place to watch sun go down while relaxing with a drink, restaurant food is good but could do better especially with the anti pasta cold veg after five days got a little boring, it is geared for large parties we were only people from Tui so service for us was very slow, were other parties got silver service ours was dished up on a plate and given to us, sometimes we had not finished one course when we were given the next. Over all most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is only a short walk from two rail stations that you can travel to Naples in one direction or Sorrento in the other all stops in between at around two euro’s chip as chips! Pompei station is right outside the gates. The beach at Castellammare is littered with rubbish shame as the promenade is lovely place to walk It has had a real up lift a famous people garden, beautiful bandstand, and lots of lovely places to eat and the best ice cream ever.
