Luxor Hotel is in Casoria, not far from the Airport of Capodichino. The proximity to the highway of Naples facilitates the connections with the touristic towns of Campania. The direction of Hotel Luxor invites his guests to visit the marvels offered from the beautiful Naples, once Capital of the Bourbonic Kingdom and inspiring Muse of the artists of "fin de siecle".
I was about to rate this a 3*, but the last minute hotel shuttle experience makes me go directly to 1*. To start with, as stated by others, this is NOT an airport hotel, we thought that still, a 7-8 minute drive with the shuttle should worth it, room price being acceptable for the quality provided, that’s about the only thing I give them. Problem is there is nowhere to go and eat except if you are ready to pay the ridiculous cab fares Naples has. Closest restaurant is 5 minutes by car but 1h walk unless you want to cross the highway on foot. Yes, the hotel is near the highway, so good if you have a car, but as we had a very early flight (only reason we booked this hotel) we preffered returning our rental the day before to gain time in the morning. So they have this “deal” with a certain restaurant that can deliver food at no delivery cost to the hotel where you can use the breakfast area then. That would be OK, if food would not be of very bad quality however good it looks and sounds on the online menu, the order would not be half mixed up and it wouldn’t come more than 1h after the initialy agreed time. Sugest you try Uber Eats, although as things seem to work in Napoli I wouldn’t bet on that either. Coming to my last point, taxis in Naples are all total ripoffs. No driver was willing to go by the meter, and they are clearly aligned. On the other hand we did not dare trying public transport the way it looked and the early hour, anyway would have taken almost an hour to get to the airport. So we agreed to book the hotel shuttle for the ridiculous amount of 30 EUR, for a 7 minute drive. First of all, shuttle came 10 minutes late then casualy informed us that the ride is in fact 40 EUR. When I addressed this with the hotel, the clerk and driver went into this well rehearsed opera, clerk blaming it on his evening shift colleague, driver on the hotel…so fake. Being 5:30 in the morning and already late, clearly we had no chance to win but at least I hope this review will help others.

Delayed for 27 hours at Naples airport 21/9/18 flight to Glasgow. A coach load of us were taken to this so called hotel for overnight stay which some of us refused to stay in due to the unacceptable, disgusting bedroom and bathroom. Appaulled and discgusted that TUI would take their clients to this dump!

Review Summary: - Rude staff - ‘Free shuttle bus’ total bull***t - No lift or help carrying cases to top floor - Dirty floors and no basics like cups etc - Smoking room despite specifying non-smoking - Had to pester to get our passports back - Reports of other reviewers being charged twice When something is cheap, you expect basic, but politeness and a clean room costs nothing. This hotel is a disgrace. My girlfriend and I had been island-hopping around Naples for a week and needed one last bed for the night before heading to the airport on the Friday morning. Hotel Blanc's Booking.com entry states a free shuttle bus to the nearby airport, and as such was our main reason for staying. When we arrived, they had trouble locating our booking, and only one staff member spoke English, we had to use a translation app. I should say at this point that it is not much closer to the airport than the city of Naples, so you’d be better off staying there. The receptionist was rude and spoke to us through the cleaner, who could understand basic English – when we tried speaking Italian, they rolled their eyes and laughed, muttering to one another under their breath. When we enquired about the shuttle bus to the airport, this turned out to be a COMPLETE SCAM: Even while using the translator, they acted like they were desperate to finish the conversation. The room was on the top floor with no lift, so we had to carry our cases up the stairs. Despite asking for a non-smoking room we were greeted with an overwhelming smell of tobacco and a half-empty ash tray on the table. As one of us has asthma, this didn't help our night's sleep. The building was nowhere near full, so they could have accommodated. The bed was fairly comfortable, but as there were no nets on the windows, my girlfriend was woken by mosquitos - the walls were already stained with the remains of dead ones, so it's clearly a regular occurrence. The bathroom was clean and the shower was pretty good, but there were no cups or glasses, the fridge was turned off and the television was stuck on one channel. The floor was filthy. When we checked out we had to ask for our passports back, and the receptionist was adamant he had already given them to us. It took several attempts to get him to check - we got them back and were in a hurry to leave. He then asked us to pay, when not 15 minutes before we’d headed him our cash – ‘ah yes’. Our pre-booked 'taxi' looked like a friend doing a favour: A beaten-up hatchback with a totally ignorant driver who took us the long way around to the airport because of 'traffic', despite the roads being clear. I’ve lived in student houses and hostels that are cleaner than this. Don’t waste your money.

Obscure. Avoid. Bad vibes directly. No guests and really akward location where no one goes. At same time the "hotel" has not 1 but 2 restaurants. Hmm what pays the salary of all staff. One of the restaurants offers about 10 dishes wich 1 of them is gnocci ragu, delivered to table without a ragu, waitress then claims its a neapolitan version where the ragu is just a marinara (tomato sauce). Disrepectful. Ordered "birra alla spina" , it came to the table cold as it should but without sparkling, asked then nicely for a bottled beer and got warm bottled beer. I dont even bother to complain on beds/windows/loudness etc. There were no incidents with staff or so, all of them were quite ok, just beware this isnt a normal hotel.

We booked this hotel based on the 24 hour shuttle service to the airport. After arriving we were told their was NO shuttle service, but the front desk could arrange a taxi for 25-30 Euro. Early in the morning the taxi drive to the airport took about 5 minutes and cost 30 Euro. This advertising was deceptive. The rooms maybe non-smoking but somebody had definitely been smoking in our room. The hotel is newer, but it does not have the windows that minimize sound - which a lot of the older hotels in Italy have. We stayed last Friday night. Across the street from our room was a wedding venue. Needless to say there was noise early into the morning.
