Located in the highest and most scenic part of the City and just 20 metres from St. Rita's Basilica. Cascia stands on a hill at 700 metres above sea level and is surrounded by green wooded mountains and bathed by the cooling waters of the River Corno. It's the perfect holiday location both in summer and winter.
We were upgraded to a superior room. Wi-fi is very good. Front desk was very helpful and arranged for shuttle service. Location was excellent for our needs. But breakfast was nothing to be excited about.

We are sad that it has taken so long for us to write this review. We had the most wonderful and enjoyable stay at Hotel Villa Stella while traveling through Umbria on our honeymoon. We were recommended the town Cascia by some people in Norcia and we ended up staying here, both because it was close to everything in town and because it is affordable. We soon realized that the owners, Augusto and Antonella, are the most wonderful married couple and very hospitable. We had an amazing breakfast -- homemade! -- in a room that overlooks the entire town of Cascia and the monastery where St. Rita's body lies. We shared fantastic conversation with Augusto and Antonella too. We experienced some difficulty with another reservation in our next stop in Sienna, and Antonella spent nearly an hour on and off the phone helping us sort out the reservation. We cannot thank them enough. May God bless them and their hotel. Can't recommend enough!

We have been in Italy for 2 1/2 weeks (this is my fourth extended Italy trip) and have enjoyed the hospitality of several hotels. Hotel Meraviglia, though appearing clean, sleek, and modern, is not one of those we have enjoyed. It does not exhude hospitality or a welcoming attitude. The check-in process forbids multiple working room keys, even when three independent adults keeping different hours are sharing a room. Awkward. It also does not offer or even supply personnel to assist with luggage. The front door is not handicap accessible, due to multiple steps with no handrail to approach the front door. There is an elevator, but there are more steps in the hallways upstairs. The restaurant offers a limited menu and reasonable prices, but the the waiter is abrupt, unfriendly, brusque, and inattentive, even failing to bring two of the dishes we ordered. We gave it only one visit and found better food and ambience nearby. The decor is modern and minimalist, but our room was tiny, had little light, and supplied only stationary dispenser bottles of stinky liquid soap attached to the walls of the shower stall and sink area. These cannot be removed, and one of the dispensers didn’t function. Bring your own soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The two bedside lamps in our room didn’t work. The mattresses were quite hard, but the bedding itself was nice. The air conditioner did not sufficiently cool the room, even after several hours. When we turned down the thermostat, left the key card in the slot to keep the power on, turned out the lights, and went to dinner, it had still not cooled down while we were gone, changing the temperature not even one degree! It wouldn’t cool when we were in the room either. When we complained to the hotel staff about the malfunctioning air conditioning, they did not repair or adjust it. They only offered us a change of room or a fan. The promised fan was never brought to the room. My husband finally went in search of it at 11:40 p.m.! Opening the window, turning off the AC, and running the fan helped cool down the room, but there are mosquitos and no screens on the windows, plus a loud band playing outside. A relatively minor complaint—in the restroom off the lobby, there was black mold in the corners of the bathroom stall. Nasty. I might stay here again if I couldn’t find something else. Also, heck-out at 10 a.m. is a bit inconvenient.

Description: Surrounded by Umbrian hills, 5 minutes' drive from Cascia, Agriturismo Valle Tezze offers free Wi-Fi throughout, a garden and outdoor pool. This farm house produces its own cereals and legumes. With views of the countryside, rooms come with a wood beam ceiling, terracotta floors and are decorated with wooden furnishings. Each has a private bathroom. An Italian breakfast is served daily. It consists of hot drinks, juice, jam and home-made cakes. Norcia is a 20-minute drive from Valle Tezze. Spoleto is 50 km away.
We decided to go back to Valle Tezze after last year we had a wonderful and super comfortable stay in this amazing place within the green hills of Cascia. This year we were travelling with our 4 months baby and the room was spacious enough and equipped with baby cot as requested. Gianni and Stefania are always very welcoming, friendly, easygoing and are able to make your stay unique. Food in Valle Tezze is as usual "Superb". I suggest a' la carte menu: great range of choices between hand made pasta, fresh and genuine local meats to match with exclusive local wines. Everything in a very warm and friendly atmosphere. You will NOT be disappointed. The only one thing to be improved is the wi-fi. Not strong signal in the bedrooms upstairs. Thanks guys for this amazing second experience in your Agriturusmo. We will definitely come back.

Excellent service, great hospitality! Nice apartment. On a saturday evening, a world cup football evening, the staff did what was necessary to let us view the game Olanda - Costa Rica, which we won... Good communication although we didn't speak Italian and the staff didn't speak foreign languages. Friendly people. Servizio eccellente, ottima ospitalità! Grazioso appartamento. Gente cordiale.
