Grade 2 listed poperty set in 20 acres of beautiful countryside. 6 en suite rooms done to a high standard. We have a fantastic lounge where you can enjoy a drink from our licensed bar or stay and enjoy an evening meal from our select quality menu. Picton House has a great history and was once a posting house on the stage coach route from London to Tenby.
Thank you Picton house for a lovely stay over Easter and we were blessed with lovely weather to add to your beautiful home. Big spacious room, comfy bed and well sourced breakfast, friendly helpful owners and it seemed a never ending supply of super hot water, everything you are looking for from a B&B. Would definitely return.

Originally built in 1840, this charming family-run hotel offers free Wi-Fi and free secure private parking, right in the very heart of the market town of Carmarthen. With a great central location, the Spilman Hotel offers traditional, friendly hospitality. All of the rooms are en suite and boast a digital TV and tea/coffee making facilities and a mini fridge. The hotel has its own free private and secured car park for residents. The Hotel also has a Locked Shed to store Bicycles. We have Type 2 EV chargers on site.
Room was spotless and looked recently decorated. Fridge was welcome and generous amount of tea/coffee/milk provided. Bed was comfortable, wifi was excellent and puts a well known budget hotel company's "ultimate" wifi to shame. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious, service was fast. Couldn't fault our stay, would very happily visit again.

This hotel was a gem of a find and would certainly recommend it. A very warm welcome from friendly and helpful staff. Nice large room cleaned to a high standard with a lovely view, which you don’t always get from a Premier Inn. Restaurant next door or local eateries within walking distance. Beautiful lake full of swans to walk around or just sit and watch, just around the corner. Very peaceful!

Family run independent hotel, 50 bedrooms, conference 20-350 guests, Spa, Gymnasium, Indoor Swimming Pool, Sauna, Steam RoomSpa Packages
The service I received from diplomat was outstanding. From the spa to the restaurant it was absolutely top notch. I bought a solo spa day package for £58 and it was well worth the price and more! All the staff were amazing and paid special attention to me being a younger woman on my own. The massage I had and the treatment room was incredible and super relaxing. The spa has such great facilities and is kept so clean and tidy. When it came to my afternoon tea I was meant to go in a lift to the restaurant but I have a phobia of lifts so they were happy to walk me there. When they brought my tea out I was so surprised with how much was there and how well put together it all was. I've lived here for a long time and I will say with confidence the diplomat is the best and only good thing Llanelli has. Keep up the good work!!!

Stayed here for a wedding. The venue was lovely, and the rooms and breakfast incredibly good value. Everything was spotlessly cleaning, and the restaurant food was really tasty and great value. I thought initially that the two nights for the price of three would mean a compromise on quality - I could not have been more wrong. The biggest cheer though goes to the staff - all of them, cleaners, waiters, bar staff, reception, management- friendly, efficient and just all round lovely!

The hotel was not very clean and the staff were very unprofessional and not looking out for the people around. The area was very noisy because of the construction work and that was very annoying during the stay.

Commanding a spectacular position at the gateway to the Golden West, the Ivy Bush Royal has long welcomed leisure and business guests in considerable comfort and style.Once a favoured retreat for Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton, the hotel has been sympathetically modernised to blend its old world charm with modern facilities. There are 70 comfortably furnished bedrooms, 2 family rooms and a suite.
Stayed here end of April as train only goes as far as Carmarthen from fishgaurd, night porter was friendly, went into the bedroom even though the the bed was clean and comfortable the furniture really needed serious updating carpet was very dirty, the furniture was all peeling, in the corner was a chair against a door obviously leading to another room that was occupied at that time. In the bathroom (disabled I should mention ) it was actually spotless too yes needs updating, one thing I should mention in the shower it need a thing to hold shampoo and gel etc. Breakfast was fine plenty to choose from, I did notice a lot of painting in the lobby and in the restaurant and new carpet so hopefully they will start on the bedrooms soon, I would stay again for convenience sake .
