A large and unique choice of clean and beautiful accommodations at Kribi: comfortable ( 45 euros Room with access to all the facilities of "Gites de Kribi" Pool, spas, sauna, fitness room, games room wifi etc, through the wooden hut in the mangoo tree perched in the large mango tree in front of the Ocean or the apartments, cottages with 3 bedrooms for 6 people,or the 8 bungalows with 1 to 2 rooms for 2 to 6 people for all reasonable family budgets. The most famous restaurant in the area Le Plaisir du Gout" ( "The Pleasure of Taste") on the large beach in front of the Gites de Kribi. An exceptional protected place in the pure nature.Fish and fishermen :the pure traditional african way.

Reviewed By Guy FWe were in Kribi for 5 days vacation The first 2 days were rough. We went from hotel to hotel. Paying high price and no comfort and poor staffs. We finally got a room at Gites de Kribi. Very great staffs clean room a great location. Ours last 3 days where just what we were looking for. The staffs at the front desk were nice and respectful. Great restaurant on the beach very relaxing with good breakfast buffet and good menu. The restaurant staffs were amazing. I will like to send a special shouts out to Cathy one of the restaurant staff for here honesty and professionalism. A staff member to have. Thank you again Cathy. I will definitely recommend this hotel to all family and friends. Con: not enough parking space.

Expensive stay in the center of town
Reviewed By Sweet_NKThe mattress and pillows were super soft with a luxurious feel. The room was clean. The food in the restaurants is on the expensive spectrum but very tasty. I totally recommend the Italian mix starter. Breakfast was varied with fresh food and pastries. Enjoy your food or even drinks on the panoramic bar at sunset for amazing views of the city center. We had an lissue with the water from the shower which was very brown in colour. Also the mini bar is ridiculously expensive and not worth it. For example a locally made chocolate bar which sells for 1.2$ is sold there at 7.5$ Staff are friendly and helpful. In general we enjoyed our stay.

Reviewed By engfajardoGot to stay here for 10days. My experience has been a very pleasant one. Food selection in the buffet is well diverse. Its more of the ex-pat flavor...meaning its very good and less on spices. The pool is very inviting. The gym is basic but its there and clean. They have bar and chill out area which is nice. The room is spacious. Dark themed hotel made bright and lively with the catering staff, room attendants, security personnel, and attentive front desk personnel. Had a slight difficulty changing currencies. This observation might be the most important one for me, maybe trivial for others, but they impressed me with this item: I never saw a mosquito or any insect in my room. A first for me in an African hotel. Great housekeepers. Enjoyed my 10days stay.

Fantastic Stay
Reviewed By Dr-Yves-TchapdaI had a very pleasant stay at Akwa Palace from May 26th to June 7th, 2022. The service was impeccable: Very attentive, polite and courteous staff. I'd like to single out Sylvie at reception. She was exceptional. She was always pleasant, professional, and addressed all issues I had without delay. I had a standard room which was adequate for my needs. The only slight negative was the noise from the air con early in the morning, but that didn't dampen my experience of the hotel. The buffet was great, with wide variety of food, even though I always had puff-puff and fried beans (African delicacy). I'll certainly be staying there again during my visit to Cameroon (as long as the price remains fair) and I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to visit Douala. Reviewed By MzsolodoloThis hotel is not worth the price at all. I can't believe the ratings. I love the one in douala but the one in yaounde is really bad. Leaking sink, low flowing water in bath, horrible mosquitos, old furniture, run down amenities and the lobby is danky, etc. It is in a really loud neighborhood. The food in the restaurant is good and the staff is pretty okay.

Reviewed By GrandTour09087681326Oh had a wonderful stay at the ibis ...superb bed .. all I ever wanted to do was come to my room n sleep in my bed ...breakfast was great ..pick up drop to n from hotel was good ...n well there's a swimming pool ....also if u want to get ur covid test done just ask the receptionist n the Dr will come to ur room n get ur test done n results will be receive by afternoon..so yeeiii I don't have to work too hard ....also the fumigation was done n the place sanitized so yes safe n happily back home

Great breakfast menu especially the choice of natural juices and fruits. Could be expanded to add a bit of pizzazz. After a few days the menu became very predictable. The TV was a bit of a disappointment. Very little programming in English. Missing popular channels like CNN and Bloomberg. Instead lots of French channels with focus on soccer and life in France which is a bit of an overkill. On balance a good stay and if they can keep their prices competitive, I will come back again. Very nice
Reviewed By amrnfahmyIt was a very short stay for just one night but was enough to approve room facilities, breakfast and hotel location. Wifi was ok in tge room, and staff were helpful. The hotel is also near the airport and that was great to avoid as much traffic as possible.
