Super clean, updated, peaceful. Perfect! Short walk to downtown shops and restaurants. Comfortable bed, great sounds of nature on the balcony. Easy parking. Make sure you understand the hvac before going to sleep - we had to ask for help from the front desk.

Experience a picturesque getaway to Cambria, an inspired setting for romantic escapes, leisurely adventures, and unforgettable group travel. Fireside Inn is a premier choice among hotels on Moonstone Beach, offering beachside accommodations with cozy fireplaces, jetted tubs, and private terraces.
My husband and I came here for an anniversary. The lady in the office was so lovely., although our room was not ready upon arrival, when we were able to get in the room, it was by far the most fantastic location we've had on Moonstone Beach. We specifically looked for a property that did not allow dogs, and this was a wonderfully quiet stay with waves crashing right outside the door. There was also a patio outside which was perfect. The only negatives were that 1) there was no microwave in the room which limited our choices in take-out. Especially during Covid we like to pick up a meal and bring it back to the room and this often means warming up all or part of it. And I like to warm my morning muffin! Also the barn door on the bathroom didn't have a lock. I am in the habit of locking the bathroom door as I feel better that way, don't ask me why! Overall, the serenity, cleanliness, and comfort of the room was great. And an in-room coffee maker....a win!

Stayed here overnight on our way up the PCH. The inn is lovely and right across the street from the beach. It is a bit dated. There’s a nice restaurant next to it. Breakfast was good, you order it the night before. The town itself seemed pretty dead but we were here right when COVID restrictions got lifted so maybe they just haven’t gotten around to opening up businesses.

What a way to end 6 days of wine tasting from the Santa Inez Valley to Paso Robles to celebrate my birthday and our anniversary. We received a personal call from the innkeeper the week before we arrived to confirm our arrival time and to inquire whether we were celebrating a special occasion. Alexa greeted us upon arrival and personally showed us around the house. We were even met with a bottle of wine and a card for our anniversary. The happy hour is amazing with a delicious appetizer and 2 drinks per person. Her crostini topped with goat cheese and an amazing bacon jam was fantastic !Friday night we even had live music. We were in room 22 in the back of the house with a little balcony overlooking the back patio and open space nature area. Fireplace in our room, huge TV and freezer. Coffee pot toaster microwave. Everything one would need. Will definitely be back!

VERY filthy hotel and NOT worth the money. The staff is extremely unattentive to cleanliness of the hotel room #305 that we stayed in. When we arrived in our hotel room we found the smell in the room was so putrid we had to leave the door open to air out the room. The refrigerator wasn't working because someone had defrosted it, leaving a tray of stagnate water inside and never bothering to turn the refrigerator back on. The bedside clock was set for two hours earlier - not good of the hotel expects guests to check out on time. We had to have a maintenance person come to the room to deal with the refrigerator and the clock (because the clock had a locking feature on it). One of the curtains in our room was torn. There is no cleaning of the rooms during your stay (and clearly not before your stay either), so be prepared to bring your own cleaning supplies from home. The shower floor was disgusting and the carpet was so filthy the bottoms of my white socks were brown from walking on the carpet. The cherry on this scummy hotel was finding a dead mouse outside our hotel room when we were loading our car to leave. We told all of this the hotel manager when we checked out, and he told us he was aware of the maintenance issues we experienced when we arrived. The hotel manager could have cared less. We paid over $400/night including taxes to stay at this dirty, rodent-ridden hotel. Definitely NOT worth it.
