The beaches of tropical Broome aren’t just beautiful—they’re historic. The white-sand Cable Beach is named for an undersea telegraph cable that was laid in the late 1800s, connecting Broome to Singapore. A short hop over the dunes is Minyirr Park, and, on the eastern shore, Town Beach is home to a famous natural phenomenon, the Staircase to the Moon. Time-travel to the prehistoric era by heading to Gantheaume Point to check out 130-million-year-old dinosaur footprints.

The service was excellent and the room was as one would expect with regard to cleanliness however there was one complete downer - the bed mattress was well overdue to be replaced. The restaurant was highly rated and lived up to its reputation. A perfect meal with perfect service. The reason for the mediocre rating was that a fundamental for any lodging to provide a mattress that would enable a restful nights sleep.

Our stay in one of the tents was absolutely tranquil, relaxing, super private and devine. Can’t recommend this stay highly enough. Best venue I’ve ever stayed in to date. Just one watch out, make sure you book some form of transport back from town ahead of time. Reception at this venue can sort it fir you. Broome’s availability of transport after 930pm is semi nonexistent.

Despite some of the below negative reviews, my family and I had a lovely stay at The Pearle! We stayed in a villa and had plenty of room with a nice little pool for our toddler to splash around in. Marcus (who I dealt with prior) was lovely and did everything he could to put my mind at ease regarding the negative reviews on safety and break ins. We never felt unsafe and felt that the staff were friendly and accommodating. Check-in and check-out were seamless. Only thing I’d recommend would be to expand the cafe menu and maybe think about creating a dinner menu for the guests, as if you don’t have a car it’s quite a walk in the dark at night to/from any restaurants. We had rented a car so it didn’t effect us but definitely felt for some of the other couples/ families we drove past in the dark making the trek!

Visitors to Broome are drawn to the colour, culture and cosmopolitan vibe of its central hub of Roebuck Bay. Just one street back from the Bay, Oaks Broome combines hotel and apartment-style holiday accommodation within tranquil landscaped gardens. Its contemporary, well-appointed hotel rooms and self-contained apartments feature shaded balconies and large decks overlooking the hotel’s two pools. Oaks Broome has been designed to provide a superb environment to suit the most discerning leisure or business traveller.
Why did I give it a rating of 1, only because there is nothing lower. Let’s start with the positive, the bed was clean and comfortable. That where the good ends. Cleanliness was of a low standard. Soap scum on the shower screen. Dead insect trapped under the glass of the coffee table. Toenail or fingernail clippings on the floor. Filthy curtains. Dirty dishes in the cupboard. Public areas could be cleaner. Only 1 teabag in the room and no coffee, though some was made available at reception upon request. Reception staff seemed shocked when asked to order a taxi. After about 10 minutes told us no taxis available. Took one phone call by my wife to get taxi there within a few minutes. Staff were generally surly, though that obviously is subjective. We only continued to stay because we could not secure a bed elsewhere in town and it was only two nights.

Superbly located just a short walk from the pristine sands of Cable Beach, and just a 5 minute drive from Chinatown and the heart of Broome, you can relax at this luxury Resort with the latest in modern facilities and amenities. The Oaks Cable Beach Sanctuary Resort features newly refurbished elegant modern designs which draw on modern tropical Broome architecture and colours. With fastidious attention to detail, these studio rooms and apartments introduce a new level of quality to the region nestled amongst landscaped tropical gardens and lagoon style pools.
I know that there are staff shortages at the moment, but this is not a "Resort". No porterage, and we were on an upper level. The towels were so old they were almost threadbare. The in-house dining was farcical. Very limited menue, and very poor food. I ordered the chef's salad with prawns. It was a bowl of rocket, with two small pieces of capsicum and cucumber and 6 pale prawns (thawed for my convenience) that had no colour, texture or flavour. A complete rip off. The few staff who were there were not helpful in any way!

Located in the heart of Broome, the family-owned Kimberley Travellers Lodge has a range of newly renovated multi-share and private rooms with shared bathrooms, an oasis pool, sun deck, an in house bar and chilled-out beer garden, complimentary breakfast and WIFI, a BBQ and a fire pit
This place is nice I thought. Basic and clean. It’s a YHA so shared bathroom facilities. Given how expensive Broome is on accommodation I think this was a really good option and I liked it. Don’t leave valuables in your car some travellers got broken in to when I was there. It has both dorms and whole private rooms.

The room was smelly and dirty on arrival. The balcony was full of cigarette buts and ash all over the floor, we had to ask to be moved as it was filthy. Furniture was dated and damaged, no bedside tables in the second room, just two stools. Light globes weren't working, and remote control was taped up. Kitchen surfaces and bathroom were dirty with inground dirt. Also we had to move the fridge each time we wanted to turn the lights on and off. Stayed six nights, room was never serviced, no change of towels in the time we were there and no bins emptied or tea n coffee replenished. Crockery and cutlery were mismatched. The grounds outside were dated and we were constantly walking past paint pots, ladders and other building products. We could constantly hear upstairs scraping chairs around. Overall a very disappointing place to stay, felt more like a hostel than a hotel.

I don’t consider myself a twitcher, however the influence of this place with the diverse range of species couldn’t help but rub off. I took the 3pm Bush and Plains tour and we spotted 26 species as we drove around in the Troop Carrier for 2 hours, stopping along the way. My favourite moment was a close up at a Bustard. I stayed the night in a single room, modest and comfortable with the ablution block nearby. I loved the camp kitchen with a freezer, fridge and ample cooking facilities. Gathering at 6.30pm to complete the daily bird log was an insightful record of the diversity of birdlife in the area. This is a very special spot, great for walks and relaxing. The staff and volunteers are a huge asset for the place. The tour and location is highly recommended. Don’t follow Google Maps directions to get there outside of dry season and be very careful if there has been rain as the roads get very wet and slippery.

Perfect spot, enjoyed my time there. Friendly staff, great pool and fun on the beach with the kayaks and boards. Fishing off the beach was awesome and i would definitely come back for another trip soon.
