Surrounded by harmonious nature and meandering rivers and dams, Oxbow Country Estate offers country style charm with relaxed sophistication. Oxbow is an oasis outside the city offering idyllic wedding receptions, conferencing and midweek breakaways. The estate is located 25km from Bronkhorstspruit, Gauteng, on the banks of the Osspruit River, just 40 minutes from Pretoria, Witbank, and Benoni. Oxbow Country Estate is the perfect countryside venue for families, friends, and individuals seeking an absolutely special and unforgettable occasion.
The place is great except that there is no network in the rooms and wifi doesn't work in the rooms I slept in. The breakfast is great. The alcohol is expensive. Everything else is perfect especially the view.

Ezemvelo Nature Reserve is the hidden beauty of Gauteng. Located a mere hour’s drive from OR Tambo International airport and 45 minutes from Pretoria, it is easily accessible by all. The reserve offers an array of comfortable self-catering accommodation types to suite your needs, as well as a wonderful natural experience, with a wide variety of general game and bird species to be seen. Together these make Ezemvelo the perfect place to break away from busy city life. A wide range of activities are on offer, from fishing to mountain biking, ensuring fun for the whole family. Day visitors and bookings for weddings, conferences and events are welcome. Ezemvelo supports green sustainable ecotourism, conservation awareness, and the education of the country’s youth.
The camp site at Ezemvelo is spacious and ablutions are clean. The staff were friendly and maintained the site and ablutions. We spotted a lot of game and thoroughly enjoyed the 15km hike, which we found well marked. Being only an hour and a half from Joburg makes Ezemvelo a great destination for a quick weekend away.

Our guest house is the most warmth and welcoming with great hospitality you will ever find in any guest houses around our town.
Please redo your bathroom and your ceiling has moth growing on the roof which is un acceptable ,please put extra coffee in your rooms in the winter months , one per guest is also not good enough , there needs to be a security gate on all doors to make people feel safe , your DSTV package needs to be upgraded to premium package for all channels, no snacks available at your premises , you could generate more income.

My fiance and I have just spent a magical weekend at Starry Night Farm. It's the kind of place where you can't help but relax. It's in a peaceful spot, "big sky country". The house is fully equipped and very comfortable with beautiful bohemian-inspired decor and lovely artwork. We braaied, napped and lazed around in the outdoor jacuzzi. Starry Night Farm combines luxury with down-to-earth country living. Absolute bliss!

3star graded. Comfortable accommodation is provided in en-suite rooms, with a patio overlooking the beautiful garden. Kungwini Guest House is also conveniently located in close proximity to Bronkhorstspruit Dam and is just 45 minutes away from OR Tambo International Airport.
The rooms were not properly cleaned. Lights were broken/defective/falling from the ceiling. The first room allocated to me had no hot water. The next had no WiFi, and the TV had a defective speaker and OVHD decoder. No DSTV, although advertised to have. No mirror in room. Meals were oily, eggs were ruined, coffee was instant (brand unknown) I had to request water, which was probably bought at the garage after my request. Staff (2 only) not professionally dressed, but dressed only in (not so clean) T-shirt, tracksuit pants, plakkies I would not go back there, and will not recommend it to anyone. Maybe suitable for locals for a quick "siesta" and shower.

Our customers' needs are top priority and our rooms provide a comfortable rest during the night. All the rooms in the guest house have en-suite bathrooms and TV with DStv. We have a dining room where meals are served and we also have a liquor licence for those looking for cold bear after a hard day at work. We can also provide packed lunches and dinner on request. For your peace of mind we have ample secure parking behind locked gates at night and a 24-hour manager on sight. The message I got from this visit was "guests are a nuisance". For dinner we got KFC because: (I quote) " this one won't eat this, that one won't eat that, everyone eat KFC". Not that KFC is bad, but why then pay for dinner? The bedding is discoloured from age, the toilet kept running through the night, mould was visible under the taps and in the shower. In the bathroom cabinet was a little shampoo bottle, a little lotion bottle, a little soap bar and eight condoms (maybe this alludes to the type of establishment). Lunch was made way too soon (sandwiches - a day in advance) and just chucked into the fridge. Had to go buy another lunch. Checking out!

I made a booking at this lodge and received confirmation, I called through today to confirm the booking and the very rude unprofessional person that answers the phone tells me it is fully booked as I try to explain that I have a booking confirmation she puts the phone down, I call again and she sounds more like she is dying and says to me that the whole lodge is booked and she can't help me and puts the phone down again!!! It is absolutely ridiculous, Thank goodness with did not stay there! Judging by the reviews it clearly is not a place you would want to go.
