Peter is a legend and a credit to your company

So we had to come to this hotel because thanks to wizz air incompetencies cancelling our flight after going through gate check in. Yes really! ruining our honeymoon and no one helped. Your staff welcomed us and a special thanks to Peter at the front of house who is a credit to your company. Very professional, friendly and extremely helpful in calming upset patrons. The hotel was clean. And the food was lovely. I am a bit of a coffee snob and don't usually like hotel coffee. But this actually had taste. Thank you so much for your hospitality on such a dreadful day.

Worst hotel

Reviewed By juanfcomorales

I can’t even describe how disgusting this hotel was, we were given 3 different rooms and each one was more foul than the one before, stains on the bathroom door, the walls, floor, curtains, in the bath, cobwebs, hair on the floor, broken air conditioning (a fan on the floor was the replacement) the repayment was a single shot of vodka and mixer (it was somehow also terrible) are they actually being serious, for £188… I genuinely couldn’t recommend this hotel any less. The reception staff are less than useless, one literally wrote the wrong room number on someone’s keys and as we complained on 3 separate occasions we were joined by 4 other people also complaining about their individual rooms, when we asked for the general manager she simply walked away into a back room. Possibly the worst hotel in Brighton/The UK.

The hotel was booked for a wedding party of 30 or so. We stayed 2 nights and felt really looked after. The decor is quirky and fun but most importantly nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We felt thoroughly looked after.

It's hard to believe it's rated as a 4 Star Hotel.

I understand the travel industry in the UK. That shows with a body of staff that is almost exclusively composed of teenagers and your people in their early 20s. They do the best they can, but goodwill doesn't substitute qualification and experience, so the services in the hotel suffer all around. In Jurys's case, I cannot even put all to lack of skilled workers, as small problems with the room compound independently of the hotel staff: - the room lacks a small fridge, - the custom-built furniture is poorly designed and certain chargers don't fit the power sockets, - the crumped shower a poorly placed holder constantly pokes on people's backs and - low-quality toilet paper in the bathroom is just inexcusable. I would be more than happy if I had booked a 2 Stars Hotel, or something else, as one does often on holidays. As a 4 Star Hotel, it's just bad.

A lovely spa treat

Reviewed By rachiet2015

Went for an afternoon (surprise) spa treatment and had a fabulous time. All the staff were super friendly and Elle, who gave me an excellent massage and a very relaxing facial, was especially great. The sauna/hot tub area was a favourite - exposed brickwork, nooks and crannies - loved it!! Afterwards, we went to the bar for our free prosecco and some food - would thoroughly recommend the smoked salmon bagel and the club sandwich (both reasonably priced). Overall, a fabulous afternoon. Looking forward to going back!

Hotel du Vin Brighton

Hotel du Vin Brighton is situated in the Lanes conservation area, a pebbles' throw from the seafront. Its 49 bedrooms are housed in a collection of eccentric Gothic revival and mock Tudor buildings erected, appropriately by a wine merchant on the site of an old inn. Among many interesting features are a heavily carved staircase and bizarre gargoyles, while the original double-height hall now houses the wine bar and Laroche tasting room. The perfect venue for a picturesque wedding or party is the impressively large and airy Dome room. Out with the Brighton hotel is the wonder and inspiring town itself, with quaint streets dotted with fabulous shops, and of course the famous pier and promenade.

Lovely hotel and staff

Reviewed By vh107

My daughter and I booked the Hotel du vin as a treat after a challenging year of loss and cancer treatment for myself. It was our first outings after the surgery. The staff at Reception, Maddie and Ellie were absolutely lovely and we were surprisingly upgraded to a suite which made our visit even more special. It probably has set luxury taste for my 15 years old daughter but a lovely trip. The room was very special, our food from room service was delicious. It is a fantastic location.

An old but beautiful interior, had its issues!

Reviewed By Jacqui B

On arrival the reception hall is stunning, very well decorated and just look up!! Entering our room we had no electricity, easily fixed by maintenance with in 5 mins. Following morning same problem but we were checking out so wasn’t an issue for us. Room telephone also not working which was an issue during the night as from 1am to 6am our neighbours in the floor decided sleep wasn’t what they wanted! Whether they were drunk revellers or family if kids who couldn’t sleep due to jet lag the constant shouting and door banging left us with a very poor nights sleep! We did shout down the corridor once but couldn’t work out which rooms were involved! And sadly as the phone wasn’t working contacting reception wasn’t straight forward. We didn’t eat brekkie in the hotel as Brighton has many sea front restaurants just a short walk away. Overall we had a lovely time in Brighton but the price of the room at the Mecure was not worth the money in my book! Will be seeking a different hotel next time
