A unique Freehouse set in the heart of Bridgnorth offering stylish surroundings serving real ales and seasonal local produce with accommodation for guests.
Stayed one night on our way to west Wales, but would definitely stay again. Really clean and comfy room, with nice en-suite. We were overlooking the beer garden and over the bar. It is a working bar and restaurant, so we expected some noise, but there was nothing excessive, just the normal rumble of voices, and to be honest I had the best nights sleep I have had in a long time! We ate in the pub the evening of our stay, and the food was lovely - no complaints at all. Breakfast (which was included in our room cost) was also excellent and plentiful. There was a large wedding party staying in most (all) of the other rooms, and sometimes the service was a tiny bit slow, but nothing that detracted from our stay

The Falcon Hotel is a 17th century coaching inn on the east bank of the River Severn at Bridgnorth. It is one of Bridgnorth’s best known hostelries. The hotel has been under new management from October 2012. All rooms have been refurbished and the top floor has been totally re built with en suites added. This has created a hotel with a total of 16rooms, provided with a mixture of double, twin, single, family rooms and two apartments The rooms are all on a bed and breakfast basis. The Falcon is a substantial building that retains many of the original features. It is a Grade II Listed period property of traditional construction. There are two outside seating areas. One is enclosed at the rear of the hotel and the other is at the side of the hotel allowing access to both the carpark and the town centre, via the arch. The car park is open to the public on a pay and display basis but residents are issued with a parking permit during their stay. Due to Covid - 19 , we have taken the decision to temporarily keep our downstairs facilities closed at this time. This includes our Bar, Lounge & Restaurant areas. A continental Breakfast box is prepared ready in your room. Local businesses still offering food & drink including cooked breakfasts are available within walking distance and we can recommend these to you.

Just been back to The Down Inn again for a two night break and received a warm welcome. We cannot fault the place; The rooms are comfortable, fresh and clean. The breakfasts are splendid with top quality food and cooked to perfection. The evening meals are always first class here; as are the puddings! Everyone is so friendly and accomodating. We've been staying here for years (as it's so handy for Bridgnorth and the Severn Valley Railway) and never been disappointed.

This is such a lovely b&b. The owners are friendly, attentive and couldn’t do enough for you from the beginning to the end of our visit. The room we stayed it was beautiful, clean and a lovely roll top bath. The mattress was so comfortable and I enjoyed a lovely nights sleep. Breakfast was lovely. We had vegetarians in our party and they were catered for. The bar/restaurant is fantastically decorated. The conservatory where we ate breakfast had beautiful views. I will definitely be returning and cannot recommend them enough.

The Orchard Bedrooms sleep up to 6, and can be booked for those preferring a roof over their heads!
Stayed for a night in a camper van at the campsite behind the pub. Placed in a level plot near the toilet block. Next bay was covered in a tipper load of tarmac waste. Toilet block had one toilet not cleaned and no working light. Grass needed trimming. Feels like a traveller site. Two caravans were in front of us, I think long term but anyway about 6 men sat around a campfire very noisy until nearly midnight so not good. Pub itself is characterful but run down. Great locals in there, decent pint and food acceptable from a very limited menu. Final disappointment was being charged for our ‘caravan’ £32 for one night, despite also eating and drinking there. Sadly a total rip off. Avoid.
