Bishopsgate House is a small Georgian town house hotel built in 1755 with a Rosette awarded restaurant.
Oh how I wish we had found this hotel instead of the awful one we were staying in. We had 2 meals here, we hadn’t booked but we managed to get a table in the bar. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble, and the home cooked food was exceptional. A real find, brightened up our stay especially as the weather was awful.

So good we went 2 nights in a row! Very pleasant place to be with lovely, friendly staff and great food. Everything you want for a family dinner. Good choice of dishes on the menu. The steak pie is dlicicious and portions are generous! Highly recommended!

Previously the White Lion Hotel, we are under new ownership and still maintain 10 en suite rooms with showers. We have renovated the breakfast room and now have a cosy lounge where you can enjoy some of our premium teas and coffees. We have a licensed bar, outdoor seating in the town square and a sunny private terrace.
My partner and I stayed for one night, and were really impressed. It was a very quick visit as we needed to be in Bangor @7.30 in the morning after our night stay. This meant that we had to skip breakfast as we were leaving so early in the morning,so we can't really comment on the breakfast. As everything else was excellent,I am sure that we would have enjoyed the continental breakfast, sometimes a refreshing change from 'fully cooked'.We arrived early and contacted the hotel to ask if we could drop our bags off,and they were so accommodating. In fact,we had room access much earlier than expected.Excellent service. The room was spotless and the views were brilliant.Service also good at all times.I have booked again for one night in July and am looking forward to it.Great place, great people.

Booked table, arrived 30 mins early but happy to accommodate us. Chose Sunday roast, braised beef with slice of rare sirloin, amazing roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding all topped off with the most exquisite gravy we have ever tasted. Full marks to the chef.

We decided on a impromptu holiday and had a little dog with us. The Bold Arms was a fabulous find and would recommend it to anyone visiting Beaumaris. It is a family run establishment and from the moment we walked through the door the hospitality of the staff was amazing. They even had a doggy bed in our room. Nothing was to much trouble and we felt right at home. The room was spacious and very clean with a lovely en suite shower room. When we went for a drink downstairs to the bar, the locals were warm and friendly and made us feel part of the community. You can have a continental breakfast if you wish but there are a choice of establishments in the area for a cooked breakfast if you prefer. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Anglesey. Thank you Hannah, her mum and dad and staff for making our stay such an enjoyable and memorable one.

We have two restaurants - Seafood & Grill and Hansom’s Restaurant - each providing a unique menu and dining experience.
An intriguing place, they serve several vegan options throughout the day. A charming environment, old quality, yet very comfortable. They offer a variety of formal, informal and outdoor terrace eating areas. There are several vegan options, although afternoon tea needs to be booked in advance (vegan or otherwise). Very friendly and accommodating staff, they immediately took mine back when a colleague realised there was honey in the salad dressing. Pricing is very reasonable. Highly recommended.

Substantially upgraded in recent years, Ty Anne is a historic townhouse dating back to circa 1791. Our guests are offered a choice of two luxurious suites with direct views across the Menai Strait to the spectacular Snowdonia mountain range. Each suite comprises spacious double bedroom with an adjoining sitting room and luxury en-suite bathroom (with shower). The suites further benefit from multi channel free view TV and free wifi. Guaranteed to be welcomed with a warm smile, we do all we can to ensure that our guests are comfortable, relaxed and enjoy their stay. We must just emphasise that our business and the set-up of our two suites is designed to cater for adult guests only and therefore we do not cater for children/babies. Also, we do not cater for pets. Thank you.
Only had two nights here and wish we could have stayed for longer. Fabulous welcoming hosts where nothing was too much trouble. Room was fantastic with spectacular views over the strait. Nice 5 minute stroll into town. Would love to go again.

Spent 3 night at Gwyndaf in May 2019. We used the location as a base for walks along the coast and general sight seeing across the whole island. Tony and Geraldine are thoughtful attentive hosts offering a great service here. We hope to return one day.

We enjoyed our stay at this B&B, although I get the feeling it would be an even better experience outside Covid times - the owner is clearly anxious to keep everyone safe, perhaps overly so. He was helpful with tips on local walks etc and provided all the essentials. We had the room with the bath rather than shower which was absolutely lovely - the bathroom is as big as the bedroom so there is ample floor space if you are short of space in the room itself which is cosy but very welcoming and has all you need for a short stay. Mattress was comfy and we slept well. The house is very central for the town but generally quiet at night -some noise in the morning if you're a late sleeper as one or two lorries pass by and customers start to queue for the village bakery which is just opposite - you might hear people talking from about 7.50. Wasn't an issue for us as we were up at 7.30. We enjoyed very nicely cooked egg and bacon the first morning but opted to pop across to the bakery and bring back some croissants for breakfast on the second day which was nice. It might be something the owner could consider offering as an alternative to a full English. All in all, a nice choice for a few nights.
