We stayed here for 12 days and fell in love with the location and friendly staff. Our sea view bungalow was small but modern, practical and clean. Breakfast is great and the bar offers snacks during the day. Perfect place to discover the island.

We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights in May, i.e. low season. We arrived at 8pm when reception was already closed but there was a sign for us with a number to call and assistance arrived within a couple of minutes. Please note that Google maps has the address for this place slightly wrong. We followed the directions and ended up a few roads further on, having to do a three point turn in the dark and with the backwheels in a ditch! The next morning the manager took us back with a few helpful blokes who managed to lift the car out without any problems, great assistance! We opted to have breakfast every morning. Whilst it may seem expensive €15.50 per person) what you pay for is having limitless breakfadt in a beautiful setting overlooking the pool. Btw, this hotel was the setting for one of the death in paradise episodes. Breakfast was buffet style with fruit, yoghurts, cheese and cold meats, , pastries, rolls, cereals and cooked eggs to order. On days where there are only very few people you have the breakfast delivered directly to you table. Whilst we were there, the restaurant was closed but we managed to sort ourselves out a quick snack from the basic food store next door (by the petrol station) and after that found a couple of larger supermarkets towards St. Rose (E Leclerc and Carrefour). Of the two, we preferred the carrefour where we also managed to buy some cheap towels for the beach. The apartments on our side had all been newly renovated and were beautifully done up. The main room has aircon enabling a good nights sleep. The bathroom feels luxurious with a walk in shower. The terrace has a small kitchen corner with a fridge, microwave and a two ring ceramic hob. There was plenty of equipment to cook for two. Mosquitos were a problem though, even with 50% deet but so far, no major effects. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Hire a car and there are plenty of attractions to explore within an hours drive.

Really nice and clean Hotel with big rooms and a nice swimmingpool. Very good cuisine. Lovely staff. The only thing missing are the mosquito nets, other than that nothing to criticize. Looking forward to our next stay at this hotel.

First and foremost, the property is absolutely gorgeous. It is well-maintained. The view is to-die-for and the bungalows are authentic and quaint. We stayed in "La Kaz" for two nights and then moved to "La Gwada." It was just me and my partner, so La Kaz was large enough for us, but it would be really cramped for a larger family. The bathroom is also positioned awkwardly because you have to go outside to enter (and we found out when we moved to La Gwada, you could see everything in La Kaz from the higher terraces. Oops. La Gwada was much larger and had a jacuzzi, although we could never get enough hot water to fill it, so we couldn't use it. The beds were super comfortable in both, which was great. Now for the not so awesome things. First was the supplies. Between the two bungalows, we had to buy every single thing that I would think would be available. Garbage bags, sponges, dish soap, hand soap, cooking oil, matches to light stove, tin foil/plastic wrap, salt, toilet paper (less than half a roll when we got there). I understand there wouldn't be a fully stocked kitchen/pantry, but it was obvious that the only thing there was what happened to be left over. The "breakfast" in the fridge consisted of a bag of cereal, half eaten, no label, just the plastic bag wrapped in a rubber band (no milk), unlabeled juice, and a frozen baguette. We asked the owner for two coffee "pods" for the senseo because we were desperate for coffee after our long travel day. All of that doesn't really matter - and quite frankly, would have been a non-issue had we not had to deal with construction noise. La Gwada is directly below the owner's quarters and they are renovating the top floor. So it was constant banging, electric sawing, sanding, throwing debris from the roof, etc. the whole time we were in the second bungalow. We asked them if they would be doing construction the whole time and they looked at us like we were a little crazy and then eventually said we should go tell them when we were there so they could keep it down. Who wants to get out of bed at 7:45AM to tell them we were in bed and to stop pounding on our ceiling?? We really wanted to relax on the hammock, read books and just chill, and it made it impossible with the construction. It started pretty much every day between 7:45am-9:30am. And then continued all day. I would assume the other bungalows aren't nearly as bad, since La Gwada was the first floor and the construction was the second. I would definitely ask about the construction if I were doing research. There is a row of bungalows that is farthest to the right when looking at the view....those would be best. Also, there is one bungalow directly next to the parking lot (like a few feet away) and next to the pool that would also be less than ideal. It was a tough review because the place really is gorgeous.

We spent two weeks in this gorgeous property, doubling the length of our stay because of the wealth of nearby activities and the incredible treatment we received from the owner Rodrigue. He greeted us with a decadent basket of tropical fruit, French pastries and two jugs of homemade rum punch. The unit had everything you could ask for to make it a comfortable experience, from a mosquito-killing racket to a rainbow-lit jacuzzi. The internet was also much stronger than advertised, which made it possible to telework from this luxury villa. Not only did we greatly enjoy the Infinity pool area, but Rodrigue went out of his way to invite us for a dinner of local delicacies including langoustine. We still cannot believe his level of genuine hospitality. This is a paradise with close access to beautiful beaches and nature hikes, conveniently situated between Bouillante and Basse-Terre. The value for money was exceptional. Definitely make a point to stay here!
