Reasonable price, friendly staff, accommodating and welcoming; the room was basic, clean but a few bugs daily; refrigerator did not work, but they replaced it after second time complaining; very worn carpet throughout the hotel & casino, ambiance dreary and old; slot machines old and several would not operate. limited cleaning throughout casino, some slot machine areas were not clean; No pool or fitness room, breakfast was included but you had to walk across the street to another location; do not accept credit cards, slow checkout; convenient to the border crossing / walking distance ;

Location, Location, Location!
Reviewed By drewhill66For a border hotel located right next to Immigration this is a great choice. The rooms are well appointed, cozy and functional and the beds comfortable. The breakfast is good. The food available from outlets within the hotel is reasonably priced and tasty and the hotel has a 24 hour convenience store. The rooms could use some clothes hangers in the closet, a kettle to heat water and hand towels in the bathroom but all else was very good. The hotel has an issue with mosquitos so bug zappers in the hallways and electric mosquito device in the rooms. This hotel likes cash so do not expect to be able to use a credit card even if the booking site implies that you can use credit cards. No ATM's on the Cambodia side so make sure to bring enough cash. The hotel has no dedicated non smoking rooms. There is major construction underway in front of the lobby side of the hotel so avoid the rooms in the front of the hotel on the lobby side as construction is daybreak until dusk! The reception staff seem to be indifferent and quite cold but the Sales Resort Assistant Manager Nutrada Rawiwongwat (Ammie) was very helpful, courteous and friendly. This hotel an oasis from the dusty chaos outside and the best of the available places to stay in the casino row,

Excellent - for an amazingly low price

The only shortcoming is that they do not provide a breakfast, but a nearby restaurant creatively overcame the language barrier. If you arrive here from Thailand, it will strike you that there are virtually no western tourists in the pleasant town of Sisophon. Frankly, I would not have been here if the new train to Phnom Penh would not have departed from here. Due to the Red Khmer (Khmer Rouge) there has been no public railway transport in Cambodia for 40 years.

Not much choice
Reviewed By AliilabNot much choice in this area. The room was clean but the bathroom wasn’t. The water was hot and the air-con worked. The W.I.-fi was very poor, usually none in some rooms. The breakfast was o.k. but in the open air rooftop restaurant was a bit chilly early in the morning. The view of the sunrise was excellent. There was building work going on in the hotel which had caused the staircase to be cut off to some floors so there was only the lift which was a bit worrying in case of fire. Could be and maybe will become a decent hotel.

Great hotel, great food court, and they have Pringles
Reviewed By bormanatorI finally stayed here since the sister hotel Grand Diamond was so noisy with Thais in the next rooms. I was on the 6th floor 4 nights, it is a non-smoking floor and the rooms have twin beds, so it is quiet. No outside noise since there is a big field out there. The standard room is 1000 baht and you get 300 baht in vouchers that can be used for gambling here and at Grand Diamond, or use them for food. THe TV is an old CRT, has 2 FOX movie channels and CNN in English. The bathroom has a glass enclosed shower with plenty of hot water and pressure. Soap, gel, shampoo, lotion are provided. Two big bath towels and 2 hand towels. There is a fridge but no mini bar, 2 free waters each day. THere are outlets around, I use the one by the bed for my laptop. WiFi is fast and free, you need a code each day from the desk. Plenty of lights, blackout curtains. The food court in the basement is great. You need to buy a 50 baht coupon for each food group. They have DIm-Sum. They have a lady cooking meals to order from a menu with about 10 items. THey have a section with about 8 dishes in pans, you get 2 with rice for that 50 baht. They have pies and cakes, and a place where the lady makes those round coconut sweets. They have coconut ice cream that you add your own toppings. They have soup and more. It was all good. The ground floor has a market/duty free shop. They have lots of candy and toiletries etc, including several kinds of Pringles. I need them for the bus to Bangkok. I haven't gambled here but the hotel and dining are my favorites now. Note that on Friday and Saturday the room will be 1800 baht with 600 in vouchers. That's because they fill up with Thai people. Staff are very nice.

Reviewed By TamarabollenHeel fijn, rustig hotel in niet-toeristische buurt. Zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. Heel proper en netjes. Altijd bereid om te helpen. Spreken enkel khmer, maar dat heeft zeker z'n charmes. Met een point-it boekje kwamen we al heel ver.

Bad Hotel

The room is passable in terms of cleanliness but everything else here is not what you expect from a hotel. Shady gambling clientele, corridors and elevators smell of smoke, bad mannered staff, room service as good as non existent and not even free internet. Stay if you are hopping borders and arrived here at the night with no other option but to stay at the border. Immigration office is 2 minute walk from here. Rats in the restaurants and casino area, bad bed and pillows and noisy air conditioning (sometimes faulty) make it even worse.

Reviewed By FrancisS982Had a lovely stay here, the staff were nice no the Manager, Mr Phally was a wonderful help. Nothing was too much trouble and he is a fine representative for the hotel. Everything was enjoyable. I will certainly stay again.
