Each of the 16 rooms at the Farmers' Home Hotel capture the simplistic beauty of country living with all the touches you'd expect of a boutique luxury hotel. Immerse yourself in the 150 year, sometimes chequered, history of the hotel whilst you unwind in one of our five room types.
The restoration of this hotel is amazing and the rooms were even better. Between the most comfortable king size bed to the quality linen we could not fault the room. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel over again and wouldn’t hesitate booking again.

The original section of this beautiful Heritage Colonial hotel was built in 1845 and has seen a vast businesses operations within its walls. If those walls could talk they would surely have many a story given that it was originally one of the en-route stops to the goldfields in the gold rush days. Accommodation varies from modern early 2000's construction to the Heritage style rooms situated in our rear courtyard offering a lovely sense of yesteryear comfort. The new owners opened the restaurant areas in late Oct/Nov 2015 and offer quality value for money meals in a beautiful and unique atmosphere, complete with air-conditioning in the summer and warm, inviting open fireplace in the winter. Various weekend entertainment is held most weekends for the enjoyment of our guests and townspeople alike. The Historic York town is the perfect destination for a romantic getaway or family trip. Given that we are only about 1 hours drive from Perth, Settlers House York is the perfect place for your stay or take the short drive for a weekend lunch in our shady courtyard. We look forward to seeing you "settle in at Settlers"...
My husband and I stayed for one night at Settlers. Check in was easy, we had a King suite in the courtyard which had good access and very quiet. The bed was very comfortable and the room was adequate for the stay. If you are having a stop over in York and looking for reasonable accommodation I would recommend Settlers.

Nestled on the slopes of Mount Brown with spectacular views to Mt Bakewell, the Grandhouse offers you wonderful accommodation in the historical town of York. A leisurely 10 minute stroll across the old time swing bridge brings you to the town centre where you can explore the ambiance York has to offer. 6 suites all with en-suites and air conditioning. Comfortable guest facilities.
We loved our short stay at the Grandhouse York. The hosts went above and beyond to see that our needs were met. We stayed in the room at the front which was spacious and very comfortable with everything we needed for our short stay. The room had plenty of cups, glasses, plates, bowls etc. It was also fitted with electronic external roller shutters which were very effective in cutting out the strong summer light (it was a very hot weekend when we were there). The aircon unit kept us comfortably cool without being noisy and the king size bed was comfortable. The bathroom is spacious with a good shower. We have definitely added this property onto our list of places to stay when we’re next in the region!

Filthy, and no apology from the remotely located host. I appreciate that this is budget, motel-style accommodation, but it should be clean, and the host should be responsible and helpful when someone lets her know about the state of the room. Expect: 1. Muddy (bloody?) handprints on the wall over the toilet 2. Dead ants on the top of the fridge (they'd drowned in whatever liquid was left on top of the fridge) 3. An unclean fridge 4. Dust everywhere Don't expect 1. The host Kerry to come out in response to a complaint 2. For her to confirm a time when the same ineffective cleaner will come out to have a second go. We evacuated and we're currently pushing booking.com for a refund

Faversham House was built in 1850's, and is situated in York, just 96 kms from Perth CBD. Set in its own large gardens but still within 5 minutes stroll of York's restaurants and attractions. The adjacent court. The spacious ensuite with claw foot bath and rain shower flags this as our premier suite. A further ensuite room with tv is situated in the courtyard. The original mansion houses 7 spacious bedrooms with kingsize beds and own bathrooms, some ensuite. Gorgeous breakfast served in grand Victorian dining hall, includes poached fruit, jams and lemon butter to name a few.Relax in the drawing room with log fire, explore the books in the library or indulge in some old fashioned board games.Ideal for a romantic break, or as a base to explore the delights of the Avon Valley with wildflowers, heritage towns, hot air ballooning and nature walks.
Great breakfast, best ever had. Hosts were attentive and lots of fun. Great memories of holidays in the 1960's. The house has been lovingly restored and it was a great experience. We should have stayed longer.

The York Palace Hotel was completed in 1909 and underwent extensive refurbishment of the rooms and restaurant during the recent decade. The restaurant and bar is now closed and there are no current plans to reopen during 2021/22. The Hotel offers 5 large heritage rooms on the upper floor (no lift) in the historic hotel, and 14 new kingsize rooms with ensuites adjoining the original building. The Heritage rooms have the benefit of complimentary wifi though, NOT in the Terrace rooms. The spacious Lord Forrest Heritage room also has a spa for luxury stays. All the rooms have ensuite bathrooms with shower, TV, air conditioning, small fridge and tea & coffee making facilities. All rooms are spacious and light. There are several restaurants very close to service our guests.
Rather old accommodation. Good comfortable bed. Stayed 2 nights no daily servicing. New vet clinic built across the road large floodlight shines in all night long. Did not sleep so good. I did not see any other cars in the carpark. I don't think to many people stay here. Terrible town for food

Rooms are clean, neat and tidy. Beds were comfortable. No breakfast even though it said free breakfast. Owner said due to covid they stopped breakfast. We were told to take our shoes off when we enter the room. We were told no putting suitcases on the beds. Owner also said our 6 six year old daughter should be quiet and that children weren’t normally meant to stay. All of this when I booked on their site. So mixed feelings as nice rooms but made to feel on edge from check in.
