Kasbah Angour is a boutique hotel in a gorgeous Berber castle 30 minutes from Marrakech. Perched on a hill-top in the foot-hills of the Atlas Mountains, the Kasbah has superb panoramic views. The 27 bedrooms and suites are constructed from traditional Moroccan materials and the locally made furniture has Berber motifs. The Kasbah has beautiful gardens, a large swimming pool and offers wonderful local excursions. You will be served by charming local staff.
Arrived on a damp and misty Sunday at an eerily deserted hotel shrouded in fog. It was magical. The sun came up the next day and the mountains revealed themselves. We were 2 adults and 3 children (8,12,14) and we were welcomed warmly by everyone - nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to Yusuf, Tarik and Ibrahim but tbh all the guys there were great. Our guide for the walks and souk tour was Abdel abs he was full of information, the kids particularly loved searching for quartz and we came home with a ton of rocks! Food was mostly good but could be repetitive after a while (we stayed for 3 nights). Beautiful surroundings but the pool was slightly chilly. I would recommend this place for a relaxed few days ok the fresh air, get in a few hikes, chill out and read a few books. It reminder me of backpacking through Ecuador and Peru many moons ago.

The hostel unveils charming Berber buildings, rooms and comfortable after opening on the gardens of roses, exotic flowers and plants. You can also benefit, walks accompanied by a guide recommended by the hostel as well as rides on the backs of mules in the surrounding villages.
This place is just amazing, I really recommande it if you're looking to recharge, find peace and run away from the noise of the city. Every thing was great starting with the staff, the room, decoration, food, and of course the placement that will take your breath away.

Wow, what a surprise! 20.000 m2 of well maintained grounds, restaurant with a young very professional female chief, standalone authentic/luxury chambers in hidden gardens, terraces everywhere, pool with a beautiful view on the mountains, at sunset drinks at the fireplace. Warm hospitality.

Location - it is hedged in by large, unfinished concrete buildings. There is no road access. You park and find your way via a steep narrow concrete path between rough buildings. The evening meal was twice the cost of a similar meal eating out in Marakech. There was a 'misunderstanding' over a camel ride, and lots of difficult haggling. Staff seemed to be treated rudely by management. We ended up feeling uncomfortable and very ripped off. Unpleasant all round. Asni has nothing to offer, it is just a modern town. Go a little further into the Atlas and it gets much better.

I stopped at the Raid Avllee Verte Asmi with my family on our way for some trekking in the High Atlas Mountains. We were greeted by one of the owners, Driss Zaarour, who was an excellent host and as it turned out an incredible guide too. He shared lots of knowledge with us and really was a pleasure to trek with. The Riad is small, and we were made to feel very welcome, comfortable and appreciated. I would definitely come to stay here on my next Moroccan mountain visit.
