The charming town hotel of Jardi d´Artà is ideally situated in the heart of the small town of Artà. Surrounded by beautifully designed and well-maintained gardens, the hotel enjoys views of the impressive pilgrimage church San Salvador. Re-opened in May 2013 following extensive renovations, the hotel aims to please with its creative Mediterranean cuisine, spa and diverse range of wellness treatments. The building itself is part of the historical town centre of Artà and dates from the early 19th century. It is a delightfully authentic example of a Majorcan house, perfectly melding with the modern facilities. The rooms are individually designed and a great deal of care and attention has gone into the furnishings. Historic details from the hotel's past tastefully integrated into the overall design are a perfect illustration of this. There are 13 original and lovingly-designed rooms and suites in the boutique hotel Jardi ´Artà, each with its own individual character. A high standard of comfort has been included, such as bathrooms with showers, air conditioning, heating, satellite TV, safe, telephone and free WiFi access to ensure a completely relaxing stay.

How on earth is this “hotel” so high on Tripadvisor?
Reviewed By Peter WI hated, hated, this place, I wish we’d never stayed there I’m sure that the actual hotel rather than the annex that we were in must be better, it has to be better. Ok some may say that the breakfast was adequate but obviously not me. Now that we’re talking about the breakfast, here are my observations Lots of people doing nothing whilst the guests wait, Ok if you’re giving the owner a T shirt you may get better service or if you need aid with planning a cycle ride then maybe he’ll drop everything to accommodate. What really got me was the time to get a coffee, the shot glass size glasses for juice and the leftover, dehydrating, disappointing cold meats and cheese offerings. Now we’ve covered the breakfast, let’s address the annex (not the hotel), our room seemed nice enough until you opened the window and smelt the drain by the pool (small plunge type thing (the pool not the drain)). But it was OK, the maintenance man was putting 99 % acid into said drain to fix the smell (99% acid that close to a pool, where people walk around in bare feet?!). Note before moving on, acid didn’t fix the problem, strange “bubbling” the next day. The room:- Problem with shower door Room could be cleaned up until 4 o’clock in the afternoon One window no curtains - you woke with the sun No phone in room, so when you had a problem you had to go to the hotel, note, most of the time no one on reception, so you then have to use your phone to phone their mobile. Oh the laundry room (I nearly forgot) directly under our room, you get to enjoy the sound of the tumble drier into the early morning. Now for the fridge incident. The fridge didn’t work in the room, I went to get ice from one of their restaurants, there then ensued a grand argument, where the waiter argued that you only needed 4 ice cubes to chill a warm bottle of wine. How petty, he got quite upset and demanded respect! Finally (I really could write forever), the roof top restaurant which was the primary reason for choosing the “hotel” was closed. This is not mentioned on their website at the time of our visit.

It is absolutely stunning and a complete credit to René and his wife for the passion in creating and running such an outstanding heaven of a hotel. Simple and exquisite interiors and gorgeous gardens too although weather was awful this week so missed out on sitting in the grounds. Breakfast is amazing with different smoothies every morning. My new absolute favourite boutique hotel. Fabulous

Beautiful place - mediocre value for money

Nonetheless, value for money is not good in our eyes, as this place is NOT a Hotel, but rather an AirBnb (or something in between...). You do get a fairly basic breakfast and your bed done. But that’s about it. From 4 pm onwards there is litterally not one single staff member on the property anymore. If you want to have more than two towels, you have to explain why. There are no umbrellas by the pool when it’s 35 celsius and no one would bother to put them there. Generally, very low service level at very high price point (250 per night). Also there is no lunch or dinner whatsoever (while that’s explicitly stated and we did not expect it). At this price point, you get to choose other places that are just as beautiful, but also do offer some service for the money.

Perfect stay!

To begin, the grounds are spectacular, the views, the spa, the pool, the staff, all were above par. The architecture is exceptional, nothing is left to the ordinary, lighting, decor, design all are masterfully thought. We were here for 3 nights and have only good things to say. First the welcome was impeccable, the service at the restaurant as well was excellent , special mention to Danielle who was very attentive to our needs and very efficient. We also greatly appreciated the food. The chef, Juan Carlos was simply amazing, we had a chance to speak with him during one night, he was grilling our food on the exterior barbecue and I must say we could taste his passion in our plates. Everything was perfect, from the appetizers to the sauces . The fish, the vegetables and yes the meat was to perfection! I would without any hesitation recommend this hotel. By the way we are cyclists and even if all recommend the north west for cycling, we were able to find beautiful and moderately challenging rides. Again , congratulations to this beautiful establishment, we hope to visit again in the futur.

Reviewed By 780pauljthe place is full of charm but could do with some investment. the rooms are large and very clean. the bathroom we had was huge. the breakfast was basic but adiquate the staff where happy and helpful. the location is perfect at the top of the most stunning town on Mallorca.

Great experience in Artá
Reviewed By VitaslomaZWe had a lovely stay in this beautiful boutique hotel, set in a restored old typical palacete here in Mallorca, family owned. The room was ample and comfortable, and the best of all, they treat you as family. Artá is a lovely town, a must know if you come to Mallorca. Full of nice restaurants and cafés, and close to very nice beaches - we thoroughly recommend Cala Mesquida. Thus, why 4 stars and not 5? The main reason for us, is the beds were a bit too hard, the mattrasses not flexible. I am not precisely a very good sleeper and those kind of things really impact my sleep. However, this may be different for other guests. The other reason is it can get a bit noisy at night and in the early mornings. There is nothing the owners can do about it, of course. But if you’re in your holiday, that is something you really must know. All in all, a great experience, and special thanks to Laura for making us feel like home and for being so helpful! We will be back!

Lovely hotel in a quiet corner of Mallorca

A quiet corner of the island with a beautiful beach walk to the next little village. And cristal clear seawater to dive into. We stayed for 2 nights together with our little dog who was very welcome at a reasonable cost. For this he got his own cosy bed, water and bowls for food and water. Very nice and service minded staff. Delicious breakfast and good food for lunch and dinner. This hotel can be highly recommended!

The worst experience ever! Avoid this place!
Reviewed By SusannaColomboThis should not be considered an “ agroturismo” since the quality of the services and facilities ware really poor. It opened only few hours during the day and of course the hotel didn’t inform us when we arrived, among other things (security, swimming pool, accesses...). It charged twice the tourist tax. The room n.3 was absolutely a nightmare: small, extremely hot and the hotel provided a broken fan. The bathroom didn’t have any type of ventilation. The shower had rear water. We couldn’t have our breakfast on the terrace ( which was supposed to be the best spot of the place) because there were plenty of wasps and it was not recommended neither by the staff. Inside, there were plenty of flies (with wasps) and the site was not properly clean. The breakfast is limited between 8am and 10am because than the staff needed to close all the access to the restaurant and because the staff need to leave. We spent almost 100€ por night but the place and services didn’t deserve: we have been felt almost deceived. We strongly recommend a radical change of the services, otherwise this place should be avoided! We could understand that it was an agriturismo and that we were in the pick of the summer, but it was not the reason to not have provided a minimum level of decent and professional service. We will not come back because this is really a theft to the tourist.

Reviewed By 642liambAmazing food. Amazing view. Amazing staff. Everything about our meal here was amazing. The view from the roof top is incredible. Takes your breath away. Then the food is incredible. The food is from all corners of Asia. India, South Korea, Japan etc and every dish is just superb. The food is light and delish which means you can enjoy every dish on the taster menu and not feel bloated. I would recommend this place to everyone it’s truly amazing. The owners are so friendly they really did make it a special night.
