Marc and Melinda were great hosts for our weekend at Chalet Cristal! The chalet is very well equipped and in a great location close to supermarket, bakery and the train station. The service was great with them providing a chef at the chalet and shuttle services! Facilities incl jacuzzi and sauna worked really well! We will come back!

Really magnificent place to stay over in the area. Cozy, comfortable, spacious place with magnificent views to Mont Blanc and the hills around. Staff is nice and friendly, ready to help. Did not take breakfast but it’s also an option. The premise has a sauna, jacuzzi, darts, billiard, table tennis and everything to entertain its guests. Would like to try it also in the winter. Highly recommend!

It would be a five stars review if the hotel was not located at a noisy street (especially during UTMB) and had no squeaky floor. Both features can be very annoying for light sleepers. Apart from that, the host is helpful, breakfast is great and location in Argentiere just next to the bus stop and train station. If you looking for an affordable place to stay near Chamonix with great atmosphere and you don't have problems with sleeping, this is the place for you!

I have not seen such an unfriendly management in my life. They only care about your money. They hate customers and travel sites like booking.com. The management will tell you all lies to make sure that they get as much money from you as possible. Never book or recommend this hotel and remember never paid in advanced.

Chalets Grands Montets : At 50 meters of the Grands Montets ski slopes, enjoy a family holiday or take a brake in the mountains in one of our chalets facing Mont Blanc, classified 5 stars ‘Meuble de Tourisme’. You can choose La Ferme d'Estelle, L'Atelier de Charlotte or l'Alpage de Paul. Each chalet has a private sauna, a garage and a terrace facing the Mont-Blanc and could accommodate maximum 6 persons.
Group of 10 stayed at Grand Montets in Jan 2019, and had a great weekend. The hotel is well equipped with comfy beds and helpful staff. Situated just a few minutes from the main lift out of the village, it is excellent for accessing Argentiere's slopes. Usual issues getting buses to other Chamonix ski areas but that's Chamonix, and the bus stop is only a few minutes away! Breakfast is plentiful and varied. The hotel doesn't provide an evening meal but it's about 10 minutes walk into the town centre, where there are various dinner options. The well-equipped spa/swimming pool (even gym - apparently six hours skiing wasn't enough for some in our group!) is great at the end of the day. Fantastic views down the valley from the communal areas. If you don't mind the layout of Chamonix as a skiing resort, Grand Montets is a great choice.

Friendly accommodation in a mountain cottage of the eighteenth century, it’s also a restaurant in Savoyard cuisine and a sunny terrace in a privileged site. In summer, the refuge of La Boerne is a base camp for hikers and mountaineers. In winter, Boerne is located in the departures of ski trails, snowboarding, snowshoe hikes and walks in the Aiguilles Rouges and Mont Blanc massifs
Auberge La Boerne is very cute and Hobbit-y. Every space upstairs is purposeful - there are hooks, cabinets, and ladders all over the place! There are sleeping spaces were you wouldn't think a sleeping space could go and plenty of places to hang things. Dinner was solid, the hosts were delightful, and the location is really nice - great beer garden and two potable water fountains outside. The campground next to the auberge seemed comfortable and clean as well. I really loved staying here.

We returned yesterday from a quick four day ski trip. The White Chalet is conveniently situated for easy access to the surrounding slopes. Argentiere has a basic nursery slope, and then mostly reds and blacks. Le Tour, a five minute drive away is great for all levels with fabulous greens and a blue at the bottom of the mountain. The Chalet rooms are adequate and there is plenty of hot water with strong showers. The rooms were not serviced at all during our stay. We opted for the breakfast each morning. This was very average at best. Simply a slice of cheese, a slice of ham, a croissant ( from the oven not fresh from the boulangerie), a boiled egg, a yogurt, a slice of "floppy" brown bread toast and a choice of three different cereals. Two different fruit juices, a bowl of fruit was available and fresh coffee. This was more than enough and for us mostly convenient, however at 12 euros each, highly over priced. The breakfast was precisely the same every morning. The house keeper spoke some French and a very little English. Do not mistake her blunt abrupt manner as being rudeness. She was actually very kind and accommodating. On the last day, one of our girls dropped the room key behind a bookcase. The housekeeper intimated it was no problem and she simply used the spare key. Five minutes later she came and told us that her bosses ( they live in the chalet next door) had said we need to pay 20 Euros !! in case the key could not be found. Everybody know it doesn't cost more than a few Euros to cut a new key. We thought this was somewhat greedy. What a pity.
