With its grand château and medieval old town peppered with half-timbered buildings and ancient wine cellars, Amboise is the quintessential Loire Valley town. If you need more convincing—this is where Leonardo da Vinci chose to spend his final years.

Manoir du Parc is an establishment Adults only. At the heart of Amboise, between the Chateau and the Clos Luce, Gaelle and Bruno welcome you in a wooded setting. We offer rooms, wodden cabane with private Jacuzzi in the Park with Private Pool, Studios, wodden cabans and Cottages with private Jacuzzi and sauna. The Park and the heated swimming pool (in season) will offer special moments of relaxation. Free Wi-Fi, Free private Parking - Restaurant within a 3 minute walk.
This place was great! The location was awesome and it really only does take 5 mins to walk to the main area of town where the Chateau and restaurants and bars are located. We checked in around 430 with no issues. I didn’t get the woman’s name that checked us in but she was very friendly and helpful. She did speak English so that was a relief! There were 3 of us so we had an apartment that isn’t attached to the main house. The beds were comfortable and the kitchenette was equipped with dishes, microwave, sink and fridge. Very clean. There is free off street parking also a big bonus, in my opinion. Also a pool that looked nice but we just didn’t have time to enjoy it. We ordered breakfast the first morning and it was a basket of baguette, chocolate and plain croissants, OJ, coffee, butter and assorted jams. It was really good. You just have to let her know the day before if you want to order that. It is not included in the room price. The WiFi worked well the first night but wasn’t great the other two nights but we’ve come to expect that when staying in hotels in the US and abroad so nothing to complain about. I would recommend and will definitely stay here again if I get to visit Amboise in the future.

" In the heart of the Loire Valley castles, at only 1500 meters from Amboise royal castle and the « Château du Clos Lucé », the last house of Leonardo da Vinci. The “Best Western Le Vinci Loire Valley” hotel is in Amboise the ideal location to comeand discover all cultural and culinary treasures of our region.Amateur of great vintages, the Wine Touristic Road will drive you along of the Loire River with its beautiful landscapes and vineyards.'
We did not enjoy our stay at this hotel. Not located in a walkable area to enjoy the sights of Amboise. Garish room decor, barely adequate sized room for 2 people. Typical Best Western buffet breakfast, adequate. The front desk staff were both very helpful and friendly, especially the evening staff, Alain. However the property was not comfortable or well-located. Wish we had chosen another property.

we've been guests of Novotel Amboise for the last 5 years, on the way home from our country house in France. It'd a perfect place to have a good nigth's rest, parking is easy, and the city centre of Amboise (blessed with some good restaurants) is only a 15min walk away.

Castle Hotel in Amboise with panoramic view over the River Loire. At the foot of the Amboise Castle ramparts, overlooking the Loire, The Choiseul is a collection of private residences built in the 18th Century, surrounding Italian-style gardens. An ideal base for those who wish to visit the royal castles of the Loire Valley & to savour the area's celebrated cuisine.
This is the the hotel experience I had been looking for in France…a small village , beautiful view of the river, French decor and a top chef. Our staff was so gentle and accommodating to our smallest request. Do not fail to eat a special dinner in the hotel, the Prestige. The gardens and pool area is so relaxing…..thanks to the entire staff for making our short visit a memorable time. We will return

The ibis budget Amboise is located amongst the Loire chateaux including Chenonceau, Chambord and Cheverny. Its superb hilltop location overlooking Amboise, just 1.1 miles (1.8 km) from the town center and Clos Lucé (Leonard de Vinci's last residence) is perfect for those seeking calm and relaxation. This economy hotel offers rooms for 1, 2 or 3 people and is perfect for both business travel and weekends away with a loved one or as a family. Free car park and WIFI.
My family and I had already stayed at this hotel a few years back so we were already aware of the great location. The Hotel room was standard for Ibis Budget so we got what was expected. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The check-in experience was not a good one. I had allready done the check-in online process and when I went in to the automated kiosk at the entrance my reservation numbe was not recongnized. No code to be able to enter the building / room / parking areas was sent to me in advance. We tried several times and it was not possible. There was a button with a speaker to be able to speak to someone in case of any issues and the sound quality was very poor, we could hardly understand each other and we were not able to resolve the issue. Luckilly the receptionist, who was already leaving for the day, saw us and got us checked-in, despite the fact that it was already beyond her regular work hours. Also, parking was very difficult if you arrived at the hotel late in the evening. There were some people who had parked their cars poorly. The location is close enough to Amboise to have a quick drive in to the main tourist spots in Amboise proper, it ir very close to the Chanteloup Pagoda and a short drive to the Chateau de Chenonceau. A perfect stop for visiting the Loire Valley Castles. It woudl be good to have better pillows for a better night's sleep.

In the earth of Loire Valley, Real Troglodyte House with heated swimming pool.Beautiful garden, quiet...Near Amboise castle.
Very glad we chose to stay at Le Clos de L'Hermitage for our Loire Valley visit and experienced a unique two nights sleeping in a cave. The rooms are clean and tidy, the owner/host is very nice and helpful with suggestions if you need them.

Hotel Chaptal is located in the heart of Amboise, at the edge of the pedestrian tourist area. The rooms are clean, compact, and provide everything you need. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Secure parking is available, though it is 200 meters down the road, so be sure to unload your luggage at reception when checking in.

Le Manoir de la Maison Blanche has spacious rooms at your disposal, with private bath and toilets, TV, Wi-Fi access in the rooms...Perfect for discovering the Loire, its castles such as Chambord (the largest Loire Valley chateau with the biggest wooded park in Europe), Blois, Chenonceau, Cheverny, Azay le Rideau, as well as the International Garden Festival in Chaumont sur Loire, the Villandry castle gardens and the Langeais fortress. Check-in between 4:30pm and 8pm. Outside of this time you must call in advance or write an email.
We stayed here 2 nights while doing a self guided bike tour of the Loire Valley. The room was cozy and the property very interesting. The host was very nice. The breakfast was a basket of baked goods from a very good bakery. The jams were homemade and delicious. There was no egg, ham, cheese or any kind of protein . There was orange juice. My husband is a type 2 diabetic and needs more than carbs. Her daughter is an endocrinologist so she should have a clue as to what makes a healthy breakfast!

We are located in Pocé-sur-Cisse, opposite the castle and its public park. You benefit from an ideal location for your tourist getaways in the heart of the Loire castles, whether cultural, sporting, fun or gourmet. You will be seduced by the wealth of the surrounding tourist heritage that we invite you to discover.
Having read the dreadful reviews for this lovely B & B, I can only think that Marie has now moved on and Patrick & Isobel have truly made this a place worth visiting. We booked the St. Vincent's Closerie as a stop off to break our journey on the way home to the U.K. Patrick & Isabelle are experienced hosts and are friendly and professional. They offer a choice of rooms. Ours was beautifully decorated, with a huge comfortable bed, high end bed linen and lovely pillows. The immaculate bathroom had a really great shower. Breakfast was set in the dining room, with home made jams, fresh orange juice and Patrick was quick to whip up some scrambled eggs for us. We had reached the Closerie quite late the evening before. As a result, Patrick kindly booked us a dinner reservation at a local restaurant, which was a short, delightful walk away through a small park. The whole experience was idyllic and an excellent way to end our stay in France. Thank you Patrick & Isabelle, we can't wait to come back!
