A kudos to the team at the Castelli Hotel in Alba, Piedmont - Italy. Very efficient and fast service at the reception, honest room for the price, average breakfast for non-Italian people. I can suggest this place for his comfort overall, garage for your car is included in the room price, the location is really top. The only suggestion is to upgrade the bedding quality, maybe without change too much a new and contemporary hotel standard mattress can give better customer satisfaction same as the guest supplier in the room, slippers etc. Will return if in the area.

This Place was absolutely astounding. Espescially as we just came from Nice from a regular big four star hotel. Everything we missed there, we found at this little place not far from the center of Alba. The size of the rooms, the quality of the breakfast, the immediate help of Mauro in things to do, to see and he also made restaurant reservations as we arrived and even helped our electric car with some juicy kilowatts.

Wine Relais , con produzione vini Piemontesi siamo situati in mezzo ai grandi vigneti delle Langhe .
This is a very well appointed hotel in the Alba area. Very thoughtful design of furniture and room decorations. The breakfast was excellent. Everyone was very nice and thoughtful. The MiaClara has a working winery with excellent wines. We really enjoyed our stay here. Important note - use google maps to get to the MiaClara. The car navigation in our Audi rental car did not work well. In any case, the MiaClara Relais is the place you want to stay in Alba.

Not knowing much about Alba and wanting to attend the White Truffle Festival, we booked this hotel based on the photos and a couple of reviews. Having spent my career in the hotel and restaurant business and being a long time hospitality professional, I have always read these reviews with a large dose of cynicism. In fact, when I have had a negative experience I NEVER, post a review. Instead I write to the management team which has ALWAYS resulted in a pleasant response and a resolution of the issue. So, of course this is a positive review. We had driven almost 7 hours from Treviso and had about had it. Tired and frustrated with the GPS that had sent us to a dirt road, we were thrilled to see the Medea signage. The parking was conveniently adjacent to the hotel with an underground parking lot as well as a street level lot. Spotlessly clean I must add. We entered the lobby and were greeted by an incredibly friendly young man who could have been an owner. The lobby was sparklingly clean and the desk had many guidebooks and pamphlets. We were checked in, given accurate directions to Alba and informed of the small Bar next door. Given our key, directed to the elevator and instructed on using the key card to operate the lights we opened the room door and both exclaimed WOW. Quite frankly we were not expecting as spacious a room with a great club chair and the most comfortable bed. A spotlessly clean bathroom with a great shower with atypically good water pressure for Italy. A beautiful view of the farm next door and the lounging area adjacent to the entrance with a lovely outdoor wicker furniture set. Nice amenities, a small mini bar and great lighting. We drove to the restaurant we had reserved using the 100% accurate directions from the front desk person. It is a short and easy drive to Alba with plenty of parking in the Historic Center. That night we slept like babies and woke to a beautifully sunny morning. We went down for breakfast which had been described at check in. A lovely assortment of pastries, a fresh baked torte and a GREAT coffee machine which dispensed Espresso, Cappucino etc. Some salami, cheese, fresh fruit and juices. No bacon and eggs but if that is what you are expecting than you are in the wrong country. We had spent almost a month in Italy and stayed at an increíble Spa on Lake Garda, an AirBnB in Treviso and had dined at local places as well as a Michelin starred restaurant. We attended festivals, visited wineries and ended our trip with the International White Truffle Festival. As we reflected on our stay we both remarked that the Hotel Medea was the most incredible ending to an amazing trip. We usually return to Italy twice a year for a month and we will definitely add Alba, Hotel Medea and the Festival to our subsequent visits. And I must add, the housekeeper made up our room as well if not better than any Ritz Carlton. Everything spotless, all of our luggage neatly arranged in a corner, towels folded and restocked. The bar next door was closing when we arrived yet they cheerfully poured two Spritzes and offered us a complimentary plate of fresh fruit salad and other goodies!

Albergo San Lorenzo is located in Alba's picturesque old town, in a 18th-century building, just behind the Cathedral. Its central position and the ample parking available to guests make the hotel an ideal base for shopping and sightseeing. Timeless elegance and a classic and unmistakeable style are the main characteristics of our hospitality.
Very nice hotel, quiet and affordable, in the heart of the city If you go there, or if you are staying elsewhere and want good food, DO GO TO THE RESTAURANT downstairs, owned and managed by the same family. The food is somptuous! Why does this place not have a Michelin star is the real question...

We were visiting Alba for a brief wine-and-truffles vacation. We would definitely recommend Angolo Divino. The location is very convenient - walking distance to restaurants, historical sites, shopping... the establishment is charming and the hosts tremendously friendly, helpful, and gracious, welcoming us with wine, chocolates, maps, limoncello on the veranda... helpful tips, recommendations, and help in getting a car. We took a cab to and from the train station because of our luggage. (Note: taxis don’t really seem to be a thing in Alba; we waited a long time at the station for one. They don’t run meters and the drivers seem to make up the charges, but we didn’t feel overcharged.). We would go back there for sure and will recommend the place to everyone. In-room wifi was a bit sketchy, but we could always find wi-fi. Breakfasts weren’t on site, but consisted of a voucher for two very nearby locations, and the rooms had fridges and stocked coffee/tea makers.
