The Royal Senchi, built in 2012, is the first luxury 4*hotel infused with the serenity of the Volta Lake complemented by the highest standards of hospitality services. With more than 80 rooms and suites, it has been designed to blend into the appealing, balmy environment of the Senchi River and the surrounding rich forestry. Its location is distant from the hectic city life, yet near enough for easy commuting. The concept of the hotel is to offer a destination that fuses into the relaxed nature of the environment whilst providing hospitality standards that befit a four star establishment. Its colours, the architectural curves, as well as the shapes of the buildings lend to the ‘nature look’ and feel of the entire property.
The beach bar boom box was so loud you couldnt think, this coupled with the hotels live entertainment they were competing against each other... Around 7 pm we were sitting outside and then there was a loud booming voice over some speakers... sounded like a political rally, couldnt tell. had to close the doors and move inside, whats the point in having a river view suite if you cant use it... wont be going back, glad I didnt take the more expensive suite, money wasted.

Excellent and serene environment. Good and neat rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was interestingly good with a buffet. Live band and night club not in session due to covid 19. I will choose this place anytime am in Akosombo.

The rooms are very clean and spacious and have all the necessary amenities. The service is great, the staff is very helpful. The area surrounding the hotel is also nice, even though you don't have direct access to the lake from there. The dam is a short drive from the hotel.

The management is friendly. Always willing to accept customers recommendations complaints in good faith. I recall the Manager was quick to change a room for one of my friend without taking additional amount when he requested for a room change. I highly recommend the facility for everyone.

Black Star Lions' cottages are built in an ancient African tradition of natural clay molded from the land. This eco -friendly way to build honors the earth and the surroundings in which we live. Our five acres are on the eastern slopes of the Volta river with stunning views, peace and tranquility. Enjoy meditation, relaxation, leisurely strolls, bird watching and more. For more action you can walk to Atimpoku for some entertaining night life.
This hotel is run on a very ecological friendly way. Producing it own electricity and using food from local resources. It is situated on the east bank of the Volta river, but at the other side of a quiet road and not immediately at the river. It is run by a friendly and helpful US-UK couple. It is a bit isolated, but it is possible to dine at the guesthouse and have a cold beer, if ordered in advance. They prepare good vegetarian food from local resources. The room was comfortable. Unfortunately there is hardly a view to the river, due to the vegetation. There is no terras to relax and enjoy the view. Electricity is in short supply at night, due to the limited capacity of the batteries.
