It was actually the only option on New Year’s eve for less than 100 us. I arrived late and all my city hotels were at 300 us. No way I thought ,so I got this one . Not really a mistake but huuuugeeely inconvenient. First of all this hotel is exactly on the very end of Tokyo Prefecture , this is next to Satama Prefecture and 15 KM from where you want to go, believe me. I know Tokyo well, I speak a bit Japanese, okay no problem. In case you take this hotel be aware there is a train (Tobu Line) to be taken, the last one leaves around 11.30 pm in Tokyo. There are express trains that don’t even stop at yazuka station wher you have to go. So figure this out before boarding the wrong one.It takes around 1 hour to get to the hotel from let’s say Shinjuku-Ku or half an hour from Tokyo Skytree. The tickets cost a fortune. Said this back to the hotel. It is decorated like Barbie and Ken’s Las Vegas Nightmare. Terrible for an architect like me, but ok. Worst thing of it all , the room windows are all blocked like an atomic bomb shelter. Yes, right, there is a huge metal board, slab just across your view. They said it is for safety reasons. I suspect this is a love hotel or used to be a brothel and so the indececeny is hidden .Something like this. Have a look at my pictures. The rooms are relatively big for Japan, well it isn’t Tokyo. Very old and very smelly ! They have no non-smoking floors and apparently only 1 non-smoking room which was gone. So this is the real nuisance . Smoke and smokers everywhere. I hated it. Cost me like 70 us to get the smell out of my clothes. The TV screen was smaller, really, than my netbook screen, the room was okay itself but everything reeked of cigarette smoke. There were slotmachines even on the floors. They have a complimentary breakfast which was quite good by the way. Soup, chickenwings,Meatballs..unbelievable. The staff was more than accommodating and friendly (that’s what saved this dump (really) from 1 star). Nect time I just stay at the airport and will certainly never come back. That happens when you don’t really want to spend big money in Tokyo :).

3 min walk from Kitasenju station. Free Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms. Free breakfast are provided for all hotel guests, from 5:00am to 10:00 am at lounge. All guest rooms are non-smoking. We have designated smoking room on 1st floor for hotel guests.
The rooms are very small and designed for Japanese clients, while there is a bar fridge, table and chair, the room is very small and the bathroom is tiny too. The elderly need to take care as you need to climb into the bath. Only Japanese language shows are on tv which is strangely situated on the left hand side of the room. All windows are frosted with wires mesh. To be truthful I felt I was in a prison! Toiletries are available downstairs every afternoon. Breakfast is nice, newspapers are available including an English version. Free drinks e.g. coffee and coke etc are available all day till 10 pm. Free washing and drier facilities are available, just bring washing powder or buy it at the front counter. Just up the road is a major train station and shopping centre. The river is close by and makes for a lovely walk. The location is excellent, just the rooms are small and prison like.

The hotel located very near to Ayase metro station, room is small (but what could one expect from Tokyo) but it has everything one would required throughout the stay. The concierge was friendly and helpful enough to assist for the automated check-in. Enjoy the quite neighbourhood of the hotel, it is being surrounded by plenty of restaurants and supermarkets. The concierge even gave me a simple map which mentioned the type of cuisine provide by the restaurants around.

I enjoyed to stay here and the host and the other guests are so friendly and kind. I was lucky coz there is a birthday party everyone brought food or drink and enjoy it. Everyone looks like they wanna do something to the other guest and know it's good to enjoy the time with roommate. Though it's a little bit far from city center, The place is the best for long stay traveler.

estle Tokyo Cozy House is nestled in the North of Tokyo, Senju area. Only 5mins walk from KitaSenju station, where there are two big shopping malls (OIOI and Lumine) and food street nearby.
