Gold Strike Canyon Hot Springs

Relax in one of the many hot springs along the trail.

We stopped by late in the day and started down the trail and it was like being on a movie set waiting for something creepy to happen. I'm sure there were Sand People from Star Wars watching us. Being smart, we realized that hiking an unknown trail with obvious obstacles late in the day wasn't smart, so we just did a partial hike. Our goal was to find hot springs, so we bravely came back EARLY the next day and were rewarded by being the only people on the trail for a while. Lots of really cool scrambles and rope climbs (I admit I was a little sore the next day) and we took the time to soak in a hot spring. There are several so pick your spring. We brought towels and the right things to wear in our packs. The end of the trail is a huge reward as you are right on the Colorado River with a beautiful view of the memorial bridge by Hoover Dam. Perfect place for a picnic (leave nothing but footprints!!!!). So we highly recommend this trail if you actually like to hike and climb and have common sense. It was a blast.

Loved it's so much, this is a wonderful trip. Lots of beautiful scenery. We planned a 2 day trip which turned into 1 day trip because of high winds. But I still recommended.

Panaca Hot Springs

We love The Springs!! Warm year round. It does get missy but they clean it yearly! Go north on 5th or 500 in Panaca. You’ll run right into it!! Lots of small fish, if you sit on bottom step barefoot little fishes nibble on the dead skin!! Bull frogs live here but are elusive!! Water runs so it feel clean!!

Carson City Hot Springs

Not a place for a quick in-and-out soak and run, the hot springs in Carson City are great for a soothing and relaxing respite.

During an extended work related trip, I visited this hot spring on my days off. First off, splurge and get the private room for 2 hrs for just a few dollars more. Ahhh, just to float in your own giant sunken pool with a great hot jet! The extra cost also gives you access to the dry sauna. If all of this is not enough for the cheap price, you also get all day access to the warm public pool, hot tubs and cold tub outside. You can bring your own food in and enjoy the fire pit when it gets dark. Oh, I forgot to mention the "Hammer". I'll leave that as a extra surprise if you visit!

Walley's is located adjacent to The Nature Conservancy's 800 acre preserve, so rooms have spectacular views - you can sit on the balcony and watch/listen to all kinds of birds. The food in the restaurant is excellent, and the hot springs offer a great place to relax after a day of hiking.
