Downstairs area is not too bad to sit and eat or use WiFi. Staff we saw later on seemed a little friendlier. Location is good for cheap food like Indian and Chinese. Not to far to walk to the train station too. AC worked well. First impressions weren’t great. Check in was very simple and nothing like breakfast etc explained. Room smelt like feet and there was no window. WiFi didn’t reach the room. Area around the hostel is also a little rough.

What an amazing time i've had! The staff is incredibly nice, and help you with everything you need! Also, it is a great place to meet new travellers and the location is very central (train, bus metro) Couldn't wish for a better hostel to start my journey! Thankyou Sunshine staff!

Stayed over a months in a great double room on the third floors with big comfy bed, a desk and a lot of light from the 2 big soundproof windows, was perfect for a long stays in KL. Very quiet at night considering the location in the city center, can get a bit noisy during the day because of the construction work and the popular street and also the mosques, the double panel windows were very effective and appreciated, a rare thing in my experience for this price. Location is perfect, close to everything and just a minutes from the metro station. 15mn walk from the Perdana botanica garden and half that from Masjid Mosque/Merdeka square which are great area to go for a walk. Wonderful staff always there to help and keep the place clean and tidy. Common area include a basic kitchen where you can cook and eat. It can get a bit crowded when there is a lot of people in the many dorms. Nice and fancy bar on the top floor with a very nice terrace. Lots of very popular and fancy restaurants all around the block and cheap street restaurants a block away. Will come back next time I am in KL.

Totally loved our time at Hostel Mingle! it was the BEST to arrive off an overnight long-haul flight to this hostel and particularly our twin room opening onto the pool. Hostel has everything you need to settle into Malaysia and explore KL. Great common areas, easy to meet other travellers and funky cafes. so enjoyable!

Nothing great. The room is different than photos. Smaller and quite old. The lighting also dimmer. It’s really basic room even for deluxe room. The staff won’t be around after 10pm and on Sunday there is no cleaner. One of the night, there are police knocked on door to check. Said there are unusual activity in the hotel. But the area has a lot of F&B and convenience store. it’s quite lively area. Easy access without going out from the area.

Stayed here whilst visiting KL Easy to find, apartment modern, light and nice and clean. Check in instructions spot on, no difficult whatsoever. Convenient and central location, could walk to Petronas towers in under 10 mins. Also easy to access monorail, station very nearby. We got on hop on/off bus to orientate ourselves and found that the apartment was relatively close to all places we wanted to see. Had a problem accessing TV channels (user error...ie Us !) quickly resolved after email and visit from representative who ‘educated’ us in use of remote control. Complex has a gym and pool which we used every day. Also has a mini supermarket, convenience shop with small cafe, and two eateries. Large shopping mall in Petronas towers has a M+S including food market on lower ground floor, so get your wine here ! Much cheaper and nicer than available elsewhere !! A good stay, and great value for money.

Stayed a night (RM134.58) for meeting at Sheraton Imperial KL- 10 mins walk. Checked in 5pm and out at 8am the next morning so not much bad comments. Pros - Location is strategic for my meeting - Can stay up to 2 adults and a kids - Marts at ground floor for convenience especially solo traveler - View from 22th floor was superb - Missing a battery for the remote and sorted out within 30min - Kitchen utensils were completes - Smooth process during check out and RM200 for the refundable deposit Cons - Reception staffs did not check in my room card when i arrived at the room doorstep and i have to go down again to informed. No apologies from them. - No washing machine - Towels in the room very dirty, better use your own one. - No comment on facilities as i did't use it. - You need to pay for the car park each time you are in and out. Overall, this price with solo traveler like me was cheap. I just need a night to rest after meeting. This is not a 5 star hotel, do not expect much professionalism from the receptionist. If you are concern on cleanliness, this is not the good option. If i would bring along my kids, i will not having this residence as well
