They have 2 or 3 free parking slots right outside the hotel. Check in was a breeze. We stayed a 3 person room, the one with the bunk bed somehow mounted on the top of the queen bed below... The room was clean, very small but clean. Only issue i had with the whole experience was that the room was too small for 3 people to move about, hang our towels, get dressed, etc.. There were also ants but i can live with it. The hotel is located in Chinatown. Thus there is food and alcohol around. The place otherwise is DRY. Exit the hotel and turn right. Walk up and there are a few chinese restaurants on the left and right of the road.

We did not stay here but we had our lunches here everyday. It was so easy and great to grab a burger / nasi lemak with some refreshing freshly blended juices after diving with the dive center next door. They also have keropok lekor, fries, wedges, etc that they will fry only upon order, ensuring that your snacks is fresh, hot and tasty. The people were friendly, and the views from the restaurant is just awesome.

A 51-room beach resort consisting of 15 fan rooms on 3rd level, 26 air-conditioned rooms on the 2nd level and 10 air-conditioned rooms at beach level. All rooms are 400 sq ft, have sea view and verandah, with ensuite bathroom with hot water shower. 3 Fan A Huts on the beach. Dormitory accommodation for 24 persons. Reception, restaurant and internet cafe from 7am to 11pm. Wireless available 24/7. Free big screen movies every night at 8.30pm.
The resort is located at Coral Beach and I love the beach because it is not crowded as Long Beach, you would find many unbreachable corals in the sea, and there is a sea platform that allows you to see the whole seaside in the middle of the sea. And you can have a sunset view while having your dinner in the restaurant of the resort. The only thing I was not satisfied with the bathroom is not that clean, and the bedroom wasn't reached my expectation, but overall I had a good experience and it is suitable for backpackers but not suitable for those looking for luxury accommodation experience.

The food was really reallyyy bad.. Please go to the nearby crocodile bistro (5minutes walk into the jungle), super delicious food and worth the money. The staffs are friendly and helpful.. The beach is not a good place for Snorkelling, full of dead corals. Kindly choose some other place if you are looking for a good place for snorkelling.

The beds in this place are amazing! Also very clean bathrooms and toilets. I didn't see any staff when I was there, there were notes and instructions everywhere, so that was a bit weird. But other than that a good place to stay.

We booked for a house facing the sea under Semarak Beach Inn but unfortunately they gave us a house that is under Promenade (apparently under same management) which is not facing the sea at all (totally no view). We argued on this as we paid the price for seaview and they insist that the amount we paid for is for the back house with view. We produced booking evidence but they insist that we need to pay extra RM20 for the beach front house. They also keep telling us that its Expedia's fault and asked us to lodge a report to Expedia. The question was 'Why should we?'. we did the booking under Hotels.com and have nothing to do with Expedia sending them wrong email. That will be their problem with Expedia not us as customer. When we advised them that they are the one who should be complaining to Expedia, they bickered to us that it is us who should do the complaints yada yada yada. The manager who handles this matter on site was very rude. He doesn't listen to customers. Everytime we wanted to explain, he interrupted us and continue his bickering. Spoke with the Boss (owner) to explain and seek for solution, sadly, the Boss is also bad in customer service. Before I could explained, he shuts me off. Just to summarize, Service is really bad and we felt cheated. My advice is, stay away! House 2/10. Service 1/10. Did i mentioned, the sofa was broken (they fixed by putting a concrete brick to elevate the sofa). Broken toilet/wash basin. dirty fridge.

Hotel and cafe in dungun selling tenggol island day trip for diving and snorkerling
Not my first time staying here, in actual fact my 3rd times staying here for my Tenggol Dive Trip. Room is always clean, breakfast is authentic local food like nasi dagang or nasi lemak. Parking is right infront of the guesthome. The jetty to Tenggol island is right infront too, making it easier for me to wake up, get breakfast and off to the jetty onto the boat to the island. The dive center is also just nearby. So usually i will drop my diving gears at the dive center and then check in to the guesthome. Easy! .. will definitely stay here again for my Tenggol dive trip.

Save yourself the trouble and spend your money on a decent place in the Perhentians. Quick sum up of the place; Pros; If you manage to get one of the seaside chalets, you will have a nice view on the beach. Cons; - Staff have no knowledge of the surroundings and activities. - Staff is unfriendly and not competent to run a resort/stay. - No electricity at daytime. The showers are dark, so there is no lighting. - Its hot in the room (only fan rooms). Sleeping comfortably at night is a problem. - Bugs crawling all over the place. Incl. Spiders, mosquitos etc.

To lie down on the sand and watch the stars, to walk out front and swim in a pristine clean and clear, beautiful beach... this place truly takes my breath away! Everything was simple and had that good vibes, private with lots of shade for a breezy, nothing to do kinda short holiday. Solo travelers are most welcomed and greeted with warmth.
