Playa del Carmen is one of the top diving destinations in the world, thanks to vibrant sea life and dazzling underwater caverns. On dry land, Playa is a hipper and more modern version of the fishing village it once was. Spend some quality time on the golf course or wave hello to the playful spider monkeys at The Jungle Place sanctuary. Explore the ancient ruins of the Coba Mayan Village, or get in some quality people-watching as you shop and stroll along 5th Avenue.

I had a massage from Jessica, it was fabulous. A deep muscle massage and she made me feel great because I was sore from working out daily. I went back two days later and had a relaxing massage. It was a great follow up massage. Jessica is GREAT! I so not know anything about the place/hotel?, other that I had wonderful massages.

- the worst hotel we experienced so far. The good part was that we were only staying there for one night. - the only good part of it was the location (near the beach and the restaurants). Also, the thing that they had two swings at the top floor where you could spend some time in order not to stay in that horrible room. - now to start with, the room had no windows, was dark and the smell was really bed. There was no warm water in the shower, only one shower gel (although we had booked a double room) and no face towel. Also, the sink was inside the room and the tap was rusty. From the room, you could hear every single noise from the hotel (one would need earplugs in order to be able to sleep). There were only 2 plugs and the one next to the sink was no working. There was no garbagge bin in the room, only in the bathroom. I would add that the lady from the reception was not friendly at all, only the young gentleman was nice. An information that could help is that they offer a parking card for 100 pesos/day (with a 400 pesos guarantee fee). The parking is 3 streets away from the hotel and it is safe. All in all, this hotel is a very bad choice in case you wish to enjoy your holliday. Would not recommend it under no circumstances!!!

Todo esto con una decoración Boho Chic, rústico-caribeña que te enamorará. Si quieres disfrutar de todo el centro Playa Del Carmen pero sin agobios Isabella es sin duda tu mejor elección.
I picked this hotel for my first two nights in Playa and wasn't sure what to expect. But from arrival, it presented as a picturesque, backpacker style hotel right beside, if not on the beach. The room I stayed in was a cute stone cabana with all the amenities I needed. The grounds were full of greenery and giant iguanas that I loved to watch when they emerged like tiny dragons to guard the pool area. The only critique is that there never seemed to be anyone around. In the two days I stayed there, I barely saw anyone else, let alone another guest. Most backpacker hotels generate a good crowd in the common areas. People chill, drink together and swap stories of a life on the road or the newest destination. That was absent here. There was even a bar area but I never saw anyone working there and was never told if they even sold anything. But that aside, it was a great start to a lovely trip and a good value for the price. The breakfast isn't included but it's a nice light spread of coffee, toast and bright orange melon with seeds and honey speckled overtop. Tomi at the front desk was also very friendly and welcoming and their transport service worked perfectly.

At Boho Beach Hostel, we’re here to stop you doing anything too extraordinary! Beach backpacker life in the turquoise Carribean is simply not like that. Lounging… with locals and a glass of wine in crystal clear cenote/springs, BBQing… at sunset on our garden terrace, Playing… with our super-friendly dogs, Tequila Boom Boom, Lupo Luppolo and Betty Bup, Tanning… a gorgeous bronzed colour over a beer…… these are the things that we’re about. We're in 'the heart of the beautiful Mayan Riviera', looking out towards Isla Cozumel, and this richly historical Caribbean Sea. The city has beautiful archaeology right on our doorstep for the casual stroller, or a short bus ride for the adventurous, culture buff. There's ancient Spanish and Mayan villages, traditional ceremonies, spiritual experiences, live music , skydiving, diving with sharks, swimming, snorkelling coral reefs, amazing cave diving, and fabulous restaurants and nightlife. Then there are group trips to clubs, restaurants, springs, archaeological sites, pubs, and the beaches as well as Mexican dinners (on our terrace or at the beach) and, never to be missed, Late-Georgian poetry readings. Sometimes you even have to make your own coffee at breakfast on the beach where the Sun rises everyday directly in front of the hostel. The Aztecs sunbathed here; the Spanish bathed, the Americans and Australians did, um, American and Australian things. Life really hasn’t changed much in 3,000 years – and you will do what they did. But, we have free WiFi, as well. We’ll recommend the best food in town, beach parties, pool parties, local events, live bands, and clubs. And, with the bustle of the city behind us, ferries and tourists are easily drowned out by the sea lapping against the beach, the ice clinking in your glass and those symphonic Argentinean accents of your fellow travellers. We really are here to stop you doing anything extraordinary! Our air-conditioned rooms are doused in the sun 16 hours a day, everyday of the year! When you arrive you'll get fresh linen, a secure place for your possessions, a cosy bed, clean bathrooms, sassy social socializing spots, help with your bookings, travel plans, and excursions. You really won’t regret sleeping with us! We're 40 minutes by bus from Cancun International Airport, and you can reach us easily (and cheaply) from Tulum, Holbox, Mujeres, Bacalar, and Cozumel. Ferries stop right outside our door, buses 2 minutes away. Then, sitting with friends, a wine and a BBQ, watching the sun dip over the city, you'll appreciate this irony... at Boho Beach, the sun never truly sets! So, hurry up and book your sunrise here today!
Very cool hostel by the beach. It’s very affordable the owner of the place Shawn gave us a warm welcolme. We met great people from various region, easy to talk to, very relax mood overall. It was a great experience sharing with others. The breakfast was very consistent and the staff is very helping. I strongly recommend this place if you wanna have good time in PDC.

Tres Mundos is a colorful hostel in the centre of Playa del Carmen, full of murals and easy music, we live by the sea and that defines us. We have a craft brewery and restaurant open all day serving homemade food, beers and craft mezcals for the best prices in Playa. There is an abundant space to socialize, and a rooftop terrace with bbq and hammocks to chill in. Our rooms have white painted wooden beds with comfortable mattresses for a perfect rest. Every morning we prepare a free breakfast for you, consisting of quality coffee and tropical fruits, plus the toasts and jam. There is a shared kitchen service, we have WiFi in all communal areas and most rooms, books. All dorms have lockers (don’t forget to bring your lock), air con, bathroom and 2 big windows for lots of light. We offer tours to all historical sites for a budget prices and a tourist information based on a personal experience.
I stayed here last year and came again when I passed through again this year. Its cheap and muy tranquilo. There's a nice kitchen, water refill, I love the hammocks on the rooftop, theres a few other common areas you can hang out in, and its nice to have AC in the summer in Playa at night time; wow is it hot! The only downside is the beds are really uncomfortable, I've stayed in a lot of hostels and these are some of the worst I've experienced. But its nice to find a quiet hostel in such a busy tourist town. I'd stay again if I passed through playa in the future.

Wabi Hostel, is one of the cheapest hostels in town and is located in the heart of Playa del Carmen, just two blocks from the beach and one block from the famous 5th Avenue. The area is full of bars, night clubs and restaurants, and close to the best beach clubs like Zenzi Bar and The Fusion. It is 3 blocks away from Walmart, 4 blocks from the ADO bus station and 45 minutes drive from Cancun International Airport. It offers both private rooms and shared dormitories with air conditioning and free WiFi. Some rooms have private bathroom and kitchen in the bedroom. In addition the hostel has a rooftop bar, with shared kitchen and BBQ, as well as a communal lounge with TV. That gives everyone the opportunity to cook your own food and save money. Ideal for backpackers! The front desk staff is available 24 hours.
Friendly staff, friendly people, very great atmosphere! For 13 euros, you also have the breakfast included. Only con was lockers in rooms (some of them were unusable) and some people snorling but that’s the way it is with hostel dormitory. Nethertheless, I recommend 5/5
