Welcome to Alice's Secret Travellers Inn; a quiet green little oasis not far off the centre of Alice Springs. Being the smallest, we pride ourselves on our cleanliness and friendliness, and we are happy to give you that extra bit of attention you will miss in the bigger places. We offer air-conditioned accommodation in funky themed private and dormitory rooms. All include bed linen and access to shared bathroom facilities. This hostel is the perfect spot to get ready for your outback adventure (ask for specials) or to relax and recover after it. The beautiful, lovingly decorated garden is featured by an outdoor swimming pool, the fully equipped kitchen and free BBQ facilities give you the opportunity to cook and sit with fellow guests and the shared TV lounge and the book city are two comfy hideaways to chill, even on a rainy day. We love to keep it interesting! That’s why we’re always working on little projects to maintain and improve our little ‘home away from home’ for our guests!
I'll start by saying that our hostel/backpacker days are well and truly behind us, and we booked here because it was the only accommodation available in Alice Springs for the night we needed somewhere to stay. At the risk of sounding like a snob, the mere mention of "shared bathroom" makes my skin crawl, but the bathroom here (the womens, anyway) was actually pretty good. That said, there is one female toilet and two showers for the entire facility which is nowhere near enough - we were lucky to be staying on a night where the place probably wasn't even half full (the lovely lady who checked us in even said they were quiet that night), because even with so few people staying I had to wait for the toilet every single time I went to use it, as well as the shower on the morning of departure. I hate to think what it would be like if the place was busier or full! Parking was no hassle, however this is also purely because so few people were staying there. It's basically a first in, best dressed policy for parking - strictly subject to availability and there is only enough space for maybe 10 cars and even that is depending on how big the other vehicles are. Given that the crime rate in Alice Springs is off the charts, I would've been furious if I'd had to park on the street. As it is, you have to leave a slip on your dashboard with your phone number on it in case someone needs to ring you at any hour of the day/night so you can move your car for them. Was not a fan of this at all; luckily it wasn't an issue the night we stayed and the fact that we were able to park securely earns an extra star for the review (even the expensive hotels like DoubleTree don't offer secure parking). We stayed in the little Seb's Alpine Hut, a tiny Swiss-themed wooden hut with a double bed, lamp and table and nothing more. It was clean, cute and cosy and adequate for a one-night stay. The mattress on the bed definitely needs replacing and I didn't get much sleep despite the whole place being peaceful and quiet. The grounds were very pretty which was a plus given the walk to the bathroom from the hut in the middle of the cold, wet night! Service was excellent, definitely no complaints in that respect.

The amenities in this place are very clean and accessable. The rooms are comfortable we had a group large enough to just have us in the room, but the rooms have lockers available and little fridges. We were always able to use amenities without having to wait and at night we slept well. People would talk but everyone was respectful of the time. We had a car and it was easy to get in and out occasionally having to talk with others to sort out car movement always seemed to work out. The after hours policy for checking worked well and we called and the lady was very happy and professional to help out. Payment was easy. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend. We always felt we and our things was safe as well.

A unique and friendly hostel located in an historic former outdoor movie theatre. Right in the centre of town, close to transport, shops and sights. Multi share, twin/double and family rooms available. Kitchen, laundry, pool and free Wi-Fi hotspot (Premium Wi-Fi Plus also available).
I had an awesome time at YHA, Anna and Alex are the best Managers you could wish for, always there to help out and in a good mood. The Rooms are comfortable with a good aircon. I would come back anytime. Thank you for everything.

Save yourself the chest infection from the moldy ass room they gave us or the moldy bathrooms, save yourself from being ignored and fobbed along when asking for CCTV of a theft on property, save yourself the sunburn from there being nowhere decent to relax. Constant sweltering heat and that's coming from an Australian who loves the sun. Good candidates to save you are Youth Shack or any cheap motel if in a group. You'd be better off camping in a caravan park.

Frogs-hollow is a purpose built Backpackers in Darwin and has held on to that chilled out social style of travel- a laid back BYO everything style of backpackers. We are located opposite one of the prettiest parks in Darwin and have no nightclubs in our street so we are one of the quieter areas, in saying that we are often making our own noise and welcome people to play a guitar and have a sing along while the have a BBQ or swim in our pool. Our office hours are kept to a minimum to keep prices low low low and we have a no hassle you about tours policy where if you want it we will book it (no booking fees, and lic travel agent)but we will not actively interrupt your day to sell you one. Our free all you can eat breakie is basic cereals and toast and tea and coffee is out all day. Our big kitchen has all you need to cook and play and we have alot of fridge space. Frogs-hollow Backpackers is all about the independent free-spirited backpackers and we en-devour to provide an easy and cheap place to call home while you explore work or play in Darwin. You will need to bring your own towels and blankets pop a deposit on the plate bowl and cutlery set. We supply Pillows and sheets for the bed. We do not sell food or alcohol on premises but with a few giant fridges and Woolworths only a stroll away - you are sure to make yourself at home in no time.

Air conditioned motel rooms: twin, double or family. Air conditioned budget accommodation: single, twin, double or dormitory style. Camps for backpackers with fly screen walls. Powered and unpowered sites, camp kitchen. Toilet and laundry amenities block. Swimming pool for all guests to use. The Roadhouse has a commercial kitchen with great food, the restaurant and bar are air conditioned.
This place is the closest you can stay to Kakadu outside the park. It shows signs that in its day it was lovely. Sadly it has been allowed to become very run down. The sites are ill defined and often require an extra long cable to connect to electricity. There is no grass. Grey water has nowhere to go away. The men’s toilets and showers are mouldy and dirty. One of three stalls appears to be permanently closed. On the upside, my wife reported some work seemed to have been done in the ladies and it was clean. The pool was in excellent condition. They appear to have some issues with trespassers. They close the park at sunset. They aggressively police late entry. This is a park is best avoided unless you have a dog.

Great place to stop for lunch on the way to Kakadu. The service was amazing. With signs asking for understanding of wait times due to high staff shortage..we expected a delay. A very short wait time and there was a large tour bus before us. WELL DONE The food was really yummy and fresh the steak just right... big serves Bathroom clean and the displays are worth a stop and a visit

Stayed at coco's for 10 or 11 weeks for work. I have never been in a place that has felt more like home than here. Everyone was friendly, Coco and Tony had so many stories and treated you like one of the family. This is a great place to stay if you want to meet new people and have a great time. Due to many people working and living at the hostel, there was a curfew on when music had to be turned off, the main gate was locked at night, which always made me feel safe. If you can follow the few rules there are at this hostel, you will have the best time of your stay. Rooms are shared, there is a female toilet, and the others are shared. Honestly best choice staying here!!

Great value, service, and taste. We like breakfast, and Ronnie's delivers! We're wanting to visit their N Kansas City store. excellent service...... The concern for eating healthy is evident in the. breakfast selections with egg whites in the omelets. I. like the slices of fresh avacado and the homemade salsa. I. think we make a visit to Ronnie's once a week since they opened. Took a. fellow office worker for lunch.
