Step out the front door and onto the Venice boardwalk. Being at the beach and close to LAX, we are the best and most convenient spot for exploring LA's beaches and beyond! Iconic Venice beach is world renown and we're right in the heart of it. Many of our dorms and privates have a full or partial ocean view, but you can also just walk out the door and be on the beach in 30 seconds. And after you've had a day of sunning, swimming or just people watching, come hang out in our newly renovated lounge to swap stories or just kick back. Our friendly and local staff will clue you in on the best happy hours, favorite places in Venice or sort you out for a surfing lesson or tour. And, you can join our own weekly activities including Taco Tuesday, our Venice favorites bar crawl and our limo tour. And if you need a break from sun and sand, we're surrounded by places to shop, eat and relax and are just a short bike ride or walk from most of the sites you'll know from the movies including Muscle Beach, our famous Venice Skate Park and the Santa Monica Pier.
I had issues with the Wi-Fi so I asked the receptionist some halp and he just literally said: “well if it doesn’t work for u it doesn’t work for me”. Lol So I went asking to another guest and the Wi-Fi was working for him… This place could be soo much better but staff members wanna be total divas lol

I needed a good location in West Hollywood and this was the place. Just a short walk off Hollywood Blvd but in a quiet calm area. The check in was great service and my room was awesome too. Love the history of this place, it's what makes travel the experience it should be. The common areas of the kitchen, etc was what a hostel should be. Reasonable rate for being in such a good place and feeling so safe. Could not recommend it more. The Roosevelt Hotel is just down the street for 4 times the amount I paid here. Bus service and walking to everywhere I needed to be, All I can say is Thank you for being there for me.

In Art District. Pie Hole is in the same bldg. This area used to be insecure but now is relatively safe, surrunded with fashionable shops or middle-classed residence. Suitable for exploring in AD. Shared showers and restrooms were clean and maintenanced well. The building itself is old but the hotel had new interiors. I don't wonder.. they have kitchens. There was a kind receptionist.

The Banana Bungalow Hollywood Hotel & Hostel is a very popular international destination with a great location. We provide awesome rooms and dorms with many conveniences so you will definitely be comfortable. Our staff is cool and friendly, they will hook you up with Hollywood and LA. In the morning you can enjoy a free breakfast in our Tiki Garden, meet up with other travelers and plan your day. We offer many daytime activities or you can venture out and explore the city. Then in the evening we have nightly gatherings where you can meet and greet new people, plan your night and then head out into the coolest party city in California. We also offer many night time activities or you can hit the town with your new international friends.
We had the deluxe which came with a kitchen. Everything worked, but it was poorly stocked. No pans, cookie sheets, stock pots and colander for pasta. The smoke alarm was missing. But the staff was really helpful. Also the great activities advertised on the website are all cancelled. Still it was well worth the price.

A comfortable stay with a SoCal vibe — welcome to FOUND Santa Monica. The lobby is an open lounge with a retro-style pool table, herringbone wood floors, and seating all around. Each room includes a Chromecast for streaming and plenty of space to work. Just a short drive away, experience ocean views at Palisades Park or open-air shopping at Third Street Promenade. If a scenic Ferris wheel ride is more your style, head to the iconic Santa Monica Pier. This coastal paradise is waiting, and we can’t wait to host you.
Checked in for two nights while our nearby home was tented. Great find - much cheaper than DTSM where hotels were $400-500 per night - and the parking (first come, first served) was free for both our cars! People on front desk helpful & smiley Room was lovely, comfy beds, lots of space, small but pretty and well-stocked bathroom. Couple negatives - I wanted a quiet room, texted through the Sonder app as requested. Responses were helpful but took way too long - everytime I checked back in I had to re-enter booking details and explain all over. Better software might smooth this out. Aside from small wardrobe there is no storage in bedrooms - no shelves or drawers. Location is in a bleak section of SM Blvd - great if you are using ride-shsre or have a car Don't expect a pool/spa/gardens etc! There's a large bright lobby area with a pool table where you can hang or or eat your brought-in food. That's it I would stay again, or recommend to visitors

This place was absolutely terrible. Do not stay here! I booked a “pod” because I had a very long overnight layover on my way to Ecuador. The price was not at all cheap, especially for what you get, but it looked neat online and was close to the beach which was a plus because I had time to kill before my next flight. I got in late and checked in. There was no mask requirement and I was not asked for my vaccine card or asked any questions about symptoms. I immediately heard someone with a horrible hacking cough in the main dorm near my pod. He coughed and coughed all night. I kept my mask on the whole time, even when trying to sleep. It’s hard to believe they wouldn’t at least require symptomatic people to not sleep in the same room as everyone else. What a great place to breed the next Covid variant! My bad for booking a hostel during a pandemic, but still…. I couldn’t sleep and at one point I checked the time on my phone and saw a bug crawling on it. I turned on the light and saw dozens of bed bugs crawling all over me, my backpack, the bed, and the walls of the pod. I grabbed all of my things and ran to the shower (where there was toxic black mold all over the ceiling), and then outside for the rest of the night, waiting for the sun to come up so I could get away from there. Early in the morning a man came out and I asked him if he had seen the bugs, and he said no but had an itchy neck. Sure enough he had the telltale line of bedbug bites. The hostel insisted that they had the place cleaned of bed bugs a couple months ago and had no more complaints since then, but the guy with the bites had seen them steaming the corners of the pods the day before which is a common way to try to exterminate them, which makes me think they knew about the infestation. They did refund my money and offer free laundry, but there was no way I was going back in there so I walked to a laundromat. So much for a relaxing morning on the beach. Steer clear of this place unless you want an overpriced bed with bugs and infection!

Podshare LA. Space have ur own little space and you can Cook. The Location okay and The Nightly Stays Here is Little Different Here. Lights out at 10pm - 10am but can come back by anytime of the Hours. The Staff are friendly and kept up the cleaning. I love meeting new people and checking out the City of LA. Just one Person really taking nonsense and tell some guests they need to asked someone to use the Restroom and some other stuff told the Guest what too doing. I usually go to work and get ready for the day, But getting asked or asking if I can use the Restroom and Cooking shouldn't be a Thing. Everything else lease met right people got referred to Doordash so got the job and saved me from these hard days and time.. Location Busses are just Blocks and Downtown LA just minutes away from the Podshare LA.
