You’ll find Bunk Stay nestled in front of wild jungle on the hill behind the famous Trayambakeshwar temple, a short 5-minute walk from Laxman Jula bridge. When you reach the rooftop cafe and look out at the view, you’ll soon realise why you struggled up the hill with your luggage. This is a place where you can make yourself at home. Here you can settle in on a beanbag with a good book, connect with other travellers, play a board game, pick up an instrument, watch the sunset and exchange stories around the fire in the evening. Our cafe serves delicious vegan and vegetarian food all day long. When you feel like it’s time to peel yourself away from the rooftop, our friendly staff can help you to organise any number of adventures in and around Rishikesh, from rafting and waterfall walks to camping and trekking. The hostel is also located nearby to countless cafes and yoga studios. We look forward to showing you the best of Rishikesh.

The Hosteller Kasol, Kasol’s first hostel, is the perfect stay option for a backpacker or a traveller looking to relax, rejuvenate and reconnect. We believe in giving the best hospitality service by providing quality accommodation, great vibes and utmost focus on cleanliness, hygiene, safety and security of all our travellers. Located just 5 min away from the city centre towards Old Kasol and within a walking distance, we are in close proximity to the Kasol main temple, waterfall and right on the foothills of the mountains. Our neighbourhood is friendly, green and quite peaceful. The Hosteller offers clean and comfortable beds, attached WCs, free WiFi, common spaces, friendly front desk and concierge service, in-house dining and many more services. There is so much to do at the hostel like jungle walks, river trails, karaoke nights, beer-pong, etc. happening every evening. You’ll keep coming back for more! Whether you are here for a day or two or more, The Hosteller makes sure YOU don’t miss anything. Our best picks from all the to-do list in Kasol are: explore the villages, Manikaran & Chalal day tours, trekking (Kheerganga, Tosh, Malana), satisfy your taste buds with yummy Israeli cuisine etc.
We booked a private room at The Hosteller Kasol for Rs 3500/ night and the experience was very mediocre. The approach road to the property is a nightmare and it takes a lot of convincing to the taxi driver to drop you to the property's door step. Even when you get to the property, there are several steep steps to get to the hostel's entrance - this makes it especially dangerous for people returning back at night after drinking and smoking...which is the norm in Kasol. The private room was very small and felt cramped and claustrophobic. The black duvet cover and black towels they provide doesn't give you a sense of freshness and constantly makes you doubt the cleanliness. We did the Kheerganga trek organised by them and it was a poor experience. First we were informed that minimum 4 people need to sign up for them to organize the trip which will include a guide, tent accommodation and 2 meals, which is perfectly fine ...but in our case it was 16 of us with very different physical capacities and still only 1 and that too extremely incompetent guide (name: Gulshan Wawa) was assigned for such a big group. It is common practice to make 1 guide at the front and 1 at the end of a large group. Keeping this in mind, I and some of my fellow trekkers demanded a second guide. It took us a good 30-45 minutes on call to convince The Hosteller staff & the third party surrogate(the guide &camp provider) that we really needed a guide; who by the way we found at the starting point of the trek itself. We had to go off the first option as The Hosteller was not ready to pay him the same fees(Rs.2000/-) as the original guide(Gulshan Wawa). Somehow we managed to find a guide who was willing to go at a lesser price of Rs.1500/-And our second guide was much more responsible & professional, for sure. However, our guide Gulshan Wawa was extremely negative about my friend's ability to finish the trek just because of her weight and was indirectly discouraging her, was smoking up on the job and and himself kept falling and tripping on the trek. He charged someone to carry their backpack and then would forget the bags on his several breaks on the way up The food at the hostel was mediocre to poor and not cheap at all. There are better and cheaper homestays and local hotels in walking distance from The Hosteller. I see no reason to stay here again. Thanks for reading!

A hostel created from the ground up to redefine the experience of Jaipur and Rajasthan and its culture while providing the comfort of international hostels and the opportunity to meet like-minded travellers.
Currently i am staying in the property and i am writing my experience genuinely. Pro's:- 1. Property is neat & Clean 2. Rooms are of good quality & Ambience is good 3. Good quality food in the cafe, ambience is good & staff behaviour is also polite & friendly. Cons:- 1. I have booked a superior room and repairing work is going in the hotel which is so disturbing when i am not able to relax or have my privacy, i inform the management about the same but no action has been taken and even change of room has been provided. 2. Harsh policy which favors the hotel not the customer. Liquor is not allowed in the room which is not understable and if you bring you own booze then its chargeable in the cafe. If you want to smoke then after 2 am you have to go outside the hotel and smoke. 3. Parking is not available & Hotel is not taking any responsibility of the same. In my experience, my car parked in the open and it got dirty then the management denied taking the responsibility by saying that its not in our policy and you only have to get it clean by yourself. 4. As per the hotel policy, pool is available from 9 am to 9 pm. Also pool is not clean and when we requested to change the water but they said it will get change at 7 pm. Afterwards they inform that they are having a pool party and we will not able to use the pool after 7 pm. 5. Water cooler is available in hotel and its available 24x7 but from 4 pm there is no water available in water cooler. Even after the repetitive reminder, issue is not resolved. In the last, i am having a pathetic experience staying in the property and management has not addressed any of the issues raised and they simply neglected the same by saying that it our policy. So, i will suggest that before making any reservation think twice due to above mentioned reasons.

We have dinner parties every Thursday and an array of activities offered throughout the week. There is fresh chai available all hours of the day. You'll be greeted by our friendly dog, Blacky and we are always available to make your stay more enjoyable and to offer advice on the best places around town. Shiv Shakti Hostel was dreamt up two years ago when we recognized the need for a backpackers hostel in Rishikesh. We have been continuously innovating and can safely say we were the first hostel in Rishikesh to offer free wifi, the first to offer dorm rooms and the first with usb chargers. Our Hostel We have 3 great common areas where our guests can hang out and meet other travelers: -A rooftop lounge where guests can play cards or chat while enjoying a view of the Ganga. -A rooftop yoga area where nightly yoga classes are held. The area also has chairs and cots for a perfect reading spot. -A fun front desk lobby area that is always full of life from the hostel guests and staff to visitors from outside the hostel looking to enjoy some of the treks or adventures offered by us. We have 8 private rooms and 3 dorms. All have access to free wifi, plenty of power outlets, usb chargers, lockers, and bed linens. Our Activities Sunrise Trek – An amazing tour with our english speaking guides where guests will enjoy an incredible view of the sunrise. Breakfast is provided on the trek. Thursday Dinners – Every Thursday we have a family meal as a hostel. It's a great time to meet other travelers from the guesthouse and feel a part of our family. Evening Yoga – Yoga is offered on our rooftop six nights a week where our guests will be challenged physically and mentally.. It's offered on a donation basis. This is not a corporate chain hostel. We are an intimate, down-to-earth group of mates who love traveling and socializing. Come be a part of it!
